Honestly, I laughed out loud.

Maybe the jury was more afraid of there being a white, right-wing, violent riot with more gunfire and killing than doing the right thing.
When you can’t count on the police to uphold law and order in that event but possibly join in, may be they felt they had no choice.

It always amazes me that people of color, and their families too, that appear on Fox never seem to realize that they would be just as much in danger of torture, murder, and rape from the white supremist mobs that they have a hand in stirring up as any other person who is unfortunate enough to be in their path.

They always remind me of the collaborator in a movie who thinks he’s going to get a good payoff for their treachery and gets a bullet instead.

There’s a woman that lives a couple of towns over from me. She is a Brevard County School Board member in FL that voted for mask mandates for the kids. She, her kids, even her neighbors have been continually harassed, threatened, verbally abused, had weapons brandished at them, plants poisoned, driveway blocked and had protesters in their back yard.

Governor SucksDick and our Trumpy, Fox News loving, Constitutional sheriff, lard ass Ivey, are having shit fits over the Feds wanting to investigate, over behavior that they probably approve of.

I’m so over these people.

If they don’t love nor care enough about their children; if they’re willing to sacrifice their kids health and possibly their lives for their political beliefs, on the alter of the Orange One, well, they’re not the first cult to sacrifice children to soothe their souls. Let them die. There I said it. At least they won’t grow up to vote republican.

To keep the masked and vaccinated kids safe, at least separate out the unmasked kids and have rooms just for them. Hey, this is the South. These dumbass parents were probably raised by separate but equal, Jim Crow era parents and grandparents anyway. They’d probably appreciate the effort. I’d love the irony.
