Over the years that HGTV has been broadcasting there’s always been one or two shows of I like to watch regularly (Mike Holmes, please come back) but while there have been plenty of gay homeowners that have been helped, never has anybody ever preached the gay lifestyle, nor taken a stand for abortion, women’s rights , contraception or any of the xtian rights other bogey men.
HGTV was right to deny these two a show as, like many evangelicals I’ve met, they’d probably not be able to keep themselves from preaching some Xtian RWNJ beliefs during a show.
If I want to hear about God, I’ll get my ass out of bed on Sunday morning. If I want to watch some one screw in dry wall, I’ll watch HGTV. Or PBS. This Old House is better than a lot of HGTV shows anyway.

As much as I detest the whole Fox line-up of hate/fear mongers, my heart goes out to Bolling and his wife.
Our 29 year old son, our only child, was walking with his fiancee through the back yard of the house they were in the process of buying and he dropped to the ground dead. Heart defect no one new knew about.
When you hear of it, the world stops spinning, the air goes out of it, the sun no longer shines and nothing is real anymore, nothing matters anymore.
They will recover slowly and painfully but it will get better. The pin prick of light at the end of tunnel does get larger and brighter. Their world will be smaller, but their memories will sustain them.
God bless and keep their son and the Bollings.
