Steve St John … even if the Dems hopefully do pull off a miracle and regain the House and Senate, Pelosi has already said that she would’t push for impeachment. She’d rather work on unifying the country and I would guess actually getting legislation pushed through. I can’t see Dump signing anything the Dems put forward, but at least the American people get to see the difference between what the Dems propose to help as opposed to what the Thugs propose to hurt.

I saw where a 12 year old girl in TX told an Info Wars ‘reporter’ that was wearing a white nationalist t-shirt, and had approached her for an opinion about, a fair was it? to go fuck himself and flipped him off. When he asked her where she learned language like that, she said from her mother. In this particular case, I say, good for mom.

As much as I detest the whole Fox line-up of hate/fear mongers, my heart goes out to Bolling and his wife.
Our 29 year old son, our only child, was walking with his fiancee through the back yard of the house they were in the process of buying and he dropped to the ground dead. Heart defect no one new knew about.
When you hear of it, the world stops spinning, the air goes out of it, the sun no longer shines and nothing is real anymore, nothing matters anymore.
They will recover slowly and painfully but it will get better. The pin prick of light at the end of tunnel does get larger and brighter. Their world will be smaller, but their memories will sustain them.
God bless and keep their son and the Bollings.

Bemused – according to ecowatch.com, a Russian tanker carrying liquefied gas recently made it through the North passage in 19 days, 6.5 of them actually spent breaking through the ice, at 14 knots an hour. It saved the company 30% in time normally spent going through the Suez canal. The ice was only 4 feet thick and the tanker, built to go through ice, had no need for an ice breaker to precede it. This is the first time a ship has made it through the thinning ice.

Well Stan, they weren’t traitors to the country who fought to preserve a slavery, for the wealthiest, most politically powerful Southerners, that existed for no other reasons then to keep the cheapest form of labor they had to they build and farm massive plantations.
All this rather than having their profits eaten into by paying poor white people to do the labor. A slavery that they wanted to take with them while moving into the Mid-west and West to expand their wealth built on evil.
A slavery based on the color of skin rather then the millenia old reasons of slaves being the spoils of a war victory. A slavery preserved by demonizing the victims of that slavery to the poor white people who were starting to grow bitter and resentful to the aristocratic class that excluded them.
A class that twisted and redirected those feelings towards the slaves themselves who by virtue of their skin color alone made them sub-human, unclean, stupid, lazy, and untrustworthy. Those reasons alone, wealthy white people with the help of the newly formed Southern Baptist church denomination, formed to uphold the conventions of slavery, pounded it into the heads of lesser whites, white trash as they were called behind their backs, were enough reasons to enslave the Black Africans.
The tired old argument that white Arabs caught and sold blacks is just that. Tired. The Arabs then would of caught anyone they could of made a profit off of, humans have always been a commodity that could be bought and sold. The Arab slavers were doing the bidding of the English plantation owners, who had discovered that white and Native American peoples couldn’t handle the heat and sun stroke and malaria that came with clearing, planting and farming in harsh sub-tropical conditions. The English sought to try a tropical people they assumed were better adapted.
So no Stan, you’re not going to find the outrage, except maybe among white suprematists/nationalists over Union war heroes statues. They helped end an evil that is still being visited on this country over 150 years later and may yet again still tear this country apart.
The Republican party has welcomed into their fold people from a region of the country who say they have changed their spots but are really still leopards underneath, if the way I overhear my Southern neighbors and co-workers talking about Blacks and now Hispanics, is of any consideration. The party has also welcomed and embraced the South’s predominate Southern Baptist religion, with all it’s built in ready made prejudices. It’s a party made in heaven. A party that can still pound away at White resentment, yell State Rights, gin up ©hristian victimization, and retain power while people happily vote against themselves as long as the perpetrators of their supposed misery don’t get anything either.
Fools.

This restriction of the press is very very disturbing.
Before they died, my in-laws often related how Hitler and the Nazi party rose to power. My mother-in-law was in Hitler youth and my father-in-law fought in the German army.
The similarities between Hitler and Head full of Dippity Doo and his co-horts are chilling. (yeah, I’m old enough to remember Dippity Doo-from the 60’s)
Living on the Space Coast of Florida, I’ve also run into a lot of adult descendants of the Nazi rocket scientists living here that have also expressed concerns about the ascendancy of the right wing in this country.
This is all very troubling and I’m worried that all this will get out of hand if people don’t come to their senses and start to pull back from the brink. My father-in-law to his dying day thought that Hitler was a great leader despite the carnage and deaths of friends and family and my mother-in-laws forced walk through a death camp to view the remains of the ovens and mass graves. I truly believe that what Trump said is true. He could shoot someone and his supporters would not care. He’d still be a great leader in their eyes. Scary.
