I was conversing with a woman in a store’s parking lot after giving her bumper stickers two thumbs up.

She’s very worried. The rhetoric she hears from the R’s today and what she heard around the dinner table then is history repeating itself. She says the Dems need to appeal to American’s better natures and to emphasize their agenda and the need for majorities in Congress. They need to forcibly condemn right wing violence and point out the hateful natures and agendas of the people perpetuating it. Finally, she said the media needs to stop being so profit driven and do their jobs reporting on the far right and stop being afraid of, or worse, collaborating with them.

I too felt sorry for the vile harassment of all involved, especially of Ms Moss and her mom, and the daughter of the fellow, was it Bowers? who was dying and was upset by the neighborhood mob.
But with the exception of Ms Moss, they stated they were Trump supporters and voted for him. My sympathy only stretches so far until I run into a wall with the adage, if you lie down with dogs, you will get up with fleas, painted on it. Well, these fellows got more than fleas, they got heart worm with a whoop ass case of mange.

I watch his show. He had a funny opening about it, didn’t mention Carlson or Fox, just the insurrection accusation. As always, his guest Cory Booker was great to listen to. We need more like him.

I’ve never thought of myself as a white person, but I guess that’s all part of white privilege. I don’t know how I thought of myself. I suppose just a human being. Now that I’m aware that I’m a ‘white’ person, I’m ashamed of a large segment of the race. Aside from the young pathetics like the fellow in Buffalo, January 6-ers, Charlottesville, Christ Church, etc., I am inspired by the young people throughout the world who are taking up the gauntlet of civil and human rights that see past race, creed, sexual orientation, and looking at the big picture of interconnection, co-operation, and the humanity of one person is the humanity of us all. I hope they prevail. If not, I fear we are lost just not as a country but as a species.

I would happily see off the Murdochs and all Fox anchors and contributors to a soylent green processing facility, but they don’t do baby food.

Scooter – what’s really scary is that in the area of Florida I live in, many of those deranged Fox News viewers work for NASA and Space X. If smart people can get so brainwashed, no wonder the less educated succumbed.

Since when have R’s ever cared about raising taxes on working people? Besides, the majority of Orange and Osceola counties, which Disney straddles, voters generally go for democrats. I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if that is the real reason right there. Punishment.
