I once lived in a small town whose water treatment plant went down for a week. It was caused not by a flood but by human error at the treatment plant. It was a brutal week, spent scrounging for water. We had enough to drink, but not enough to flush. But it also brought the community together. Farmers pitched in and trucked water into town from their wells. People volunteered to hand out water. It was a difficult but heart-warming time. My heart goes out to the people of Jackson.

I try to tune in to Carlson once in a while, but it is truly unbearable to watch this lunatic who has to create reasons to rant for his viewers. The content of his program is simply unhinged and fit only for morons.

Of course there is no “rule” that anyone “gets hurt” for speaking to children. Even if a crime is committed against children we strive to be a civilized society and the accused is arrested, not beaten up. The parent who attacks someone accused of harming a child will himself be arrested.

It is only in prison, where criminals rule, that hurting child abusers is the norm. The world that Carlson creates in his own mind is an angry, violent place of corrupted morality. And he wants everyone else to live there with him.

I tune in to Fox a few times a day just enough to get the flavor of the day. Admittedly I do not watch a lot of it. But I really feel sorry for people who only watch Fox and get no other infotainment. I mean, compared to what is being broadcast and talked about on other media—IT IS SO BORING! Tucker Carlson goes to Brazil. WTF? And then Hannity and Ingraham desperately trying to pump life into the same old, same old butt-hurt shyte about “Biden and Democrats suck because of the SAME REASONS AS LAST MONTH!”

It just can not compare with what is actually happening in this country! I feel like I am living through some really interesting, but mostly gut-wrenching times and my RW family, neighbors and countrypersons are missing out on this reality. Propaganda is such a bore!

I checked in with Fox a couple of times. What I heard was whining about holding a hearing on Jan 6th when: “Inflation and the Border!!” and “How much is this costing us?” a lot of butt-hurt. I hope their ratings suffered, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Its stunning that people will buy these excuses. Inflation and border security will wax and wane, but our Democracy presumably can only fail once.

Taking away a right that women have had for 50 years, and putting it to a vote. Yea, we women are just giddy with the idea of “democratically” having the entire country vote on our bodily autonomy. Does Carlson have anyone around him to point out what seems obvious — he finds it unacceptable to speak of a foreign leader being removed from office, “How dangerous!” But he’s all-in on removing his own president.
Carlson is the one who is out of control and not aware of what he is saying and how people will take it.
One day this blatant pushing of Russian propaganda will require a reckoning. I hope Carlson lives to see and experience it, even if he does so from Moscow.

I don’t know if this case will have any more effect on the lying than any others against Fox. Fox just admits they are lying, admits their viewers should know they are lying and pays their fines. Perhaps a class action suit would be more useful.

I do feel for people who aren’t regular viewers and believe Fox is a reputable network and Carlson a regular commentator. But regular Fox viewers, deep down, know that Fox routinely lies about any and all who are not part of the Fox tribe. I just don’t know if regular viewers realize that Fox’s brutality and callousness doesn’t stop with their adversaries. They are equally open to lying to their own viewers as long as there is profit in it for them.
