This is probably the wrong time for Sabato to start channeling Joe McCarthy, and ranting about communism. Though I’m sure the current congress would jump at the chance to spend their days investigating Hollywood instead of doing the impossible job of replacing Obamacare with ‘something better.’

alt-radical-left-mainstream-liberal press? Oh that’s a mouthful, Sean! But colorful adjectives do help fill up the airtime—along with the re-airing of ancient Obama complaints. Because water-carrier Hannity needs to help with the distraction of the very serious issues raised by those news stories. Scream, yell and distract people from considering the very possibility that Russia wanted to help Trump get elected so they could blackmail him into rolling over for their every demand.
My mind reels at this thought: What would Fox be saying if this kind of issue plagued a Democratic President-elect? It would be nothing less than a 24/7 non-stop demand for resignation/stepping down.

This is beside the point, but I’ve spent time in Catholic and Protestant churches and I don’t remember seeing a cross decorating a Christmas tree. I mean it seems cruel to remind a newly born infant of his impending, horrible death by making the cross part of the festivities. Of course there is nologic in any of their religious ideas so that’s no excuse. But maybe putting crosses on Christmas trees is some evangelical invention designed to try to make Christmas more about the sad, sinful parts of religion-which they love!

O’Reilly should get out more and meet the people who started using opioids after surgery or for pain relief and got hooked, then switched to heroin. These are the majority of new opioid users. So lets deflect blame from all the white ppl using by calling it an Obama/black thing. At a time of epidemic opioid use, this is the kind of “fake news” commentary that doesn’t help anyone. I’d offer to introduce O’Reilly to my neighbor who started using heroin this way, but I can’t because he committed suicide.

Napolitano is correct in not caring about this. A real news outfit would report on how the stress of finals affects cadets and how their coping strategies might carry over to coping with the stress of deployments. Apparently the desire to ridicule our cadets for engaging in activities which aren’t macho enough overrides any actual concern for our military. What a bunch of a-holes.

These demands for showing respect to Trump—who was sooo disrespectful to our current president are certainly ballsy but completely laughable! Trump can never undo all of the disrespect he showed to Obama, and the disrespect showed to women, Muslims and minorities during his campaign and beyond. This man has not earned any respect, and it seems doubtful that such a crude person ever could.

Apparently there’s not just a problem with fake news, but also a fake psychology with which we can blame any falsehoods in our society on any other falsehoods that exist, not to mention social media and participation trophies (the right really has a hate for those darn trophies).

In Trump’s ’merica not only can you say “Merry Christmas” again, but you can also freely sneer it at anyone who fails to utter it at the appropriate time. You can also bark a “Merry Christmas” at anyone using the abhorrent “Happy Holidays,” while adding any hand jestures you feel are warranted. Spreading Trumpian Correctness is more important than the actual meaning of the day, right, rig

The securely employed, highly paid talking heads at Fox will keep harping that Emergency Rooms are like a free health clinic for uninsured people. Except for a few things: Emergency rooms aren’t free but are actually a very expensive way to get health care and they WILL track you down (if you use your real name and age) and demand payment. And many kinds of health care just aren’t available at an emergency room. What the Foxies don’t have to deal with that Trump and the elected ones will have to face is that people will eventually notice that they are screwed by Repeal and Replace.

I do believe that first and foremost Trump is about publicity and keeping Trump’s name in the news. We have never had a candidate who fully knew how to manipulate media like Trump does. Its the thing he is good at, and will probably be the focus of his next four years, while he leaves the actual governing up to Pence and his team.
The election proved that there is almost no publicity that is bad publicity for Trump. We should view all of these scandalous leaks and surprising outbursts as just more reality tv. Perhaps after a few years of this we will stop paying so much attention to the narcissist in chief and focus more on what Pence is up to.

No surprise, this is the presidency that Fox built.
Fox is all set to be the official media of the US government.
It’s not like they will need to do a lot of hiring when half their staff goes into government jobs, they can just keep the same hosts and guests and then fail to identify them as part of the Trump administration.

How often does Fox send out reporters? This must have been just down the street from Fox so it was really easy to send someone.
Maybe if Fox took journalism seriously people would actually want to explain their positions to them instead of rightly assuming Fox will just try to make them look like idiots or assholes, and so preemptively giving them a nice F-U comment.

I’m very proud of my 3 millennial children’s eagerness to vote—they all voted early last week—two of them in their first elections ever. They were all interested and engaged in the campaign all the way through.
Despite the awfulness of these months of the presidential campaign, I woke up with great anticipation about this historic vote-this time hopefully for a woman president. I just had to wear my red white and blue today.

Trump loves babies?!? Wow, who would have guessed?
Guess I need to change my vote! So glad to hear he’s got the ‘Disney’ vote :}

If you have the “freedom to stand there,” but not to sit, then this is not freedom at all, but obedience to the authority of the state—a very unAmerican value!

“It’s a bit rich to hear Ramos talk about objectivity and fairness.” Huh? Ramos was talking about putting objectivity aside and taking a stand as a journalist in regards to Trump. This is what he has been doing all along. Does Kurtz have any comprehension skills?
This is pavlovian— key words and phrases trigger Kurtz to simply apply whatever meaning he wants to them.
To borrow a phrase from Game of Thrones “You know nothing Howard Kurtz ( / Fox News / Fox viewers).”

Not to worry, truman. I’m sure if Roger harasses either of the ladies they will be happy to leave the campaign!

Its humorous indeed to see these two lightweights trying to convince a very serious, and intelligent man with a lot of national security experience that he should support Trump. These are silly arguments about Trump’s popularity and putting party above country when it comes to the very serious issue of national security. Smooth guys. This came off very badly. I hope this is a sign of things to come now that Ailes is gone.

NATO is going to be too busy keeping Putin’s military in check to send troops against the much less formidable targets in the Middle East. targets that probably have little to do with supporting these lone wolf terrorists. Rusian agression is the real military issue at this time, but of course Fox doesn’t want to diss their sometime hero Putin, or to point out any military action Obama takes that they approve of.

If Fox were to discuss these killings instead of rambling generically about the killings of black men, they would have to show the videos of these specific men being killed, show their families, and report on the investigations—real news!!! Fox hates real news, Fox hides from the truth with distraction and distortion. This is a very ugly business they are engaging in at a time when people really want to come together so we can stop seeing both the police and innocent men being killed.
Expect a lot more of this ugliness as coming together in compromise or agreement is the last thing Fox would ever want for our country or their ratings.
