I’ve heard a few graduation speeches lately. In one the speaker referenced a well-known Christian Bible tale, however he never mentioned that it was Christian. I found this very clever as the Christians in the audience recognized it right away. Non-Christians just thought it was an inspiring story. In comparison, the Lord’s prayer guy just wanted to stand in the spotlight and be noticed. It’s obvious to me which speaker was the true Christian.

And if there is another terror attack Hannity will be the first to ask why the Obama Administration didn’t keep us safe. Its a cushy job he’s got opining to an audience that was, apparently, born yesterday.

The only reason for this story is homophobia. It is unprofessional for Bill to blame teachers and not even bother getting information. However he may have even had the correct information and chose not to report it.

I heard an interview with Joe Muto, author of ‘An Atheist in the Foxhole.’ He apparently worked on O’Reilly’s show. He claimed that O’Reilly’s staff were constantly trying to correct his factual errors, but that Bill simply would not accept the legitimacy of facts that differed from his beliefs. Its sad that so many older people are taken in by this lying narcissist. But these people have had plenty of opportunity to discover the depth of Bill’s lies and seem to prefer Bill’s false reality to the one the rest of us live in. They should not expect us to respect this choice.

My fav creationism story is the Native American one in which a female Raven gives birth to all life on Earth through her va jay jay. The placental fluid becomes the oceans and all people and animals are born siblings from the same womb. Its a great story.

In the 1970s-80s scientists found that the hole in the ozone (first measured in the 20s) was getting bigger and predicted it would just keep getting bigger if we continued to use CFCs. All industrialized countries came together and agreed on a ban on CFCs within about 10 years time. The results are that today the hole is starting to recover. It is a sad reflection of our culture today that the reaction to such a similar problem is dramatically different. Our culture is corrupted by corporate interests intent on short term goals at the expense of everything else, including life on Earth.

I’m impressed that one of Tantaros’ listeners objected to her call to violence. Most right wingers find this kind of talk to be very funny, though being the rule-followers that they are, most would not follow Tantaros’ instructions. Angry people like Tantaros whittle away at civilization bit by bit, word by word, trying to make their violent fantasies socially acceptable. This kind of talk doesn’t belong on our airwaves.

This surely seems like the same kind of ‘journalism’ that created the scandal in the UK regarding hacked phones—except this involves national security! It reads like this Rosen was attempting to spy on the US. That Patriot Act sure has a way of biting its biggest fans on the ass.

The blatant promotion of false information is not surprising coming from the Repulican party. They don’t even care that anyone who would like to do so could easily check their claims. Lies pay. Ever since a court allowed Fox news to lie to the public during its broadcasts, the lies have been flying from everywhere. Just don’t let them catch any non-rightwing or tax-paying entity in a falsehood, whether intended or not, then the howling will begin. This double standard for ethical behavior will not end unless we hold right-wing/entities to the same standards of truthfulness that they demand from all others.

Obamaphones!?! This is a rambling bit of key word-association that can only make sense to a mind soaked in a constant stream of fear and hatred. It also reminds me of that ‘before and after’ word game on Wheel of Fortune, ie: ‘Home Sweet Home Loan’. But in this case it is goes something like ‘Tea Party to a Crime.’
