Joseph West commented on Cavuto Calls Obama A Serial Liar

I’d love for someone to tell Cavuto they’ve got another “serial liar” they’d like him to meet. Then, after the person’s piqued Canuto’s interest, a mirror is pulled out and held up in front of Cavuto.
I thought Cavuto worked for a “news” organization (even though it’s a FakeNews group) but, he obviously doesn’t bother to actually read anything more than the script he’s given. If he had, then he’d know that, in the middle of his little tirade, he’d lied as well.
“The Republicans who stopped you even though in your first 2 years, you had the control of Congress and the complete run of the table. Nefarious billionaires out to get you, but not a word about your fair share of billionaires out to get your opponent.”
For starters, Obama NEVER had “the control of Congress” (thanks to that pesky 60-vote rule in the Senate to overcome a filibuster, but also because of the Blue Dogs and other ConservaDems). And, as for that “complete run of the table” malarkey, perhaps Cavuto missed the whole debate on the Affordable Care Act or the sluggish pace to end DADT? As for the “nefarious billionaires out to get your opponent,” please, I want NAMES. Who are these “nefarious billionaires” out to get Romney? (I remember there were some billionaires “out to get” Romney during the GOP primaries but they weren’t Obama’s “billionaires”—they were Gingrich’s and, to a lesser degree, Santorum’s and Perry’s.)
So, Mr Cavuto, people who live in glass houses should be wary of throwing stones.

Begala agreed that Romneyâs jet-skiing vacation photos were âmaybe not the best images to send out.â But, he said, âIt is the first week of July and there are a lot of people taking vacations and heâs with his family. Itâs not the first week of October."
Five’ll get you twenty that if Pres Obama had been the subject of ANY type of vacation photos—even in the “first week of July” when “there are a lot of people taking vacations” and Obama was “with his family”—that the FoxNoise propagandists would be thrashing Obama because if he had all that free time, then he obviously didn’t think the American people were important. And the FoxNoise sheeple would fall for it, hook, line and sinker.

Of course, if Rep Carson had used the term “parochial school” or “yeshiva,” the FoxNoise folks wouldn’t have batted an eye, much less go on their standard “fair and balanced” attack mode.
As far as I’m concerned, the American public school does NOT need any input from any religious school model. The public schools’ problem right now is due TO religious nutcases who want the public to pay for THEIR schools while they indoctrinate their students with all sorts of religious nonsense. If it were up to me, there wouldn’t be a single religious-based school that would be accredited (and certainly NONE would be given even one measly cent from public education funds—to put it in terms the religious nuts would understand, “Let God take care of your money problems”). Religion has NO purpose in public schools—that’s what church and the parents are supposed to be there for.

truman, why do you think Rupert started the FakeNews network? He had to have SOMETHING in the US that told everyone else to believe what he thinks. Rupie was getting enough of that in the UK; he didn’t need to hear it from his employees in the US.)

To the Islamophobes (the obvious trolls who just ventured here at the behest of their anti-Muslim masters), try reading a few of the stories in the “Holy” Bible.
Let’s start with the little test of Abraham, where he’s COMMANDED by God to take his son to a mountaintop and kill him—which Abraham does without a second’s hesitation. (Hell, Abraham put up more of a struggle with God over the safety of his NEPHEW. “Surely you won’t destroy a city for the sake of 50 good men….” Compare to “But, my son…well, yes Lord, I’ll do it.”)
Then, let’s take a look at the Israelites’ conquest of Canaan. A lot of cities are completely slaughtered—men, women AND children—simply because “the Lord” tells Joshua that’s the only way to “purify” the land. (Oh, and when ONE of Joshua’s soldiers disobeys an edict to burn everything and takes a few baubles for himself, God gets a little ticked off. Oh, not enough to kill the man himself—I guess once you’ve caused the wholesale slaughter of millions of INNOCENT Egyptian firstborns and destroyed an entire army a few decades earlier, killing one single solitary guy is best left to your mortal pawn. Oh, one other little thing. Joshua was commanded to kill not only the offender, but also his entire family and everything the man owned had to be destroyed. Real nice deity there, isn’t he?)
Then, we get into the whole Christian Church’s decision to minimize (even demonize) an entire gender. Menstrual blood is SO dangerous that, before a woman who’s had her period can even contemplate returning to the temple, she has to undergo a ritual purification (and this, incidentally, ALSO applies to a woman who’s just given birth). Even more, that blood is so dangerous that ANYTHING that is “contaminated” must be thoroughly cleaned (that includes her husband) or, if cleansing is impractical, destroyed. And, women became so evil, so wicked that THEY were able to cause lust in a man just by looking at him (and this was CENTURIES before Islam ever started). Women’s sexuality was turned into humanity’s shame. Plenty of societies in the Christian West had no problem with treating the female victims of rape as having deserved it. (In some parts of Europe during the Middle Ages, a woman could be forced to marry her rapist as long as the rapist was willing to pay the male head of the household the “bridal price”; a man unwilling to marry her still paid that money but generally condemned her to a life of abject misery, if she weren’t killed on the spot—he, on the other hand, was often allowed to simply leave town if the girl’s male relative consented, which was typical since he got his money for the girl.) In typical male fashion—in both the Jewish and later Christian traditions—women (ie, Eve) bore SOLE responsibility for the whole Eden incident while men (ie, Adam) got off relatively scot-free. Just look at the punishments dictated to the couple in Genesis: Adam’s “forced” to live his life working for his bread while Eve’s charged with the burden of painful childbirth (and even after anesthesia became widely available for surgery, it was often prohibited to women in labor because it “violated God’s law”). I don’t know about you folks, but that doesn’t sound very equitable since women also were burdened with being forced to obey the men in all things (and “women’s work” often began well before the man’s work and ended well after his).
During the Middle Ages, Christians and Jews were well-tolerated by their Muslim rulers. On the other hand, Jews and Muslims were DESPISED by Christian rulers. In the Crusader States, temples and mosques were routinely sacked and destroyed by the Christian “liberators” (hell, during some of the Crusades, even Eastern Christian churches—those of Orthodox rites or older Christian traditions—suffered at the hands of the Crusaders; look up the “1204 Siege of Constantinople”). During the Reconquista, both Muslims and Jews were faced with conversion or expulsion from “liberated” territory, and those who converted (the “conversos”) faced continual scrutiny from the Inquisition—which was known to pay informants to spy on conversos; a converso whose new faith was deemed false or “lapsed” were executed in public (usually by fire). There was NO similar case of CIVILIAN deaths of Jews or Christians in Muslim-held lands—only PROVEN “collaborators” faced death and those accused of collaboration with the various Crusader knights were allowed to refute accusations.
Take your Islam-bashing and GTFO. Go home to Frau Geller and Herr Spencer and tell them you did your job and you’re ready for your daily wage. Then, go out and splurge on a Little Debbie snack cake, a bag of chips and a Big Gulp. You’ve earned it.

The panel isn’t interested in small business (FoxNoise as a whole isn’t and certainly Murdoch isn’t). The panel’s only concern is corporations.
And where are the corporations moving their jobs? In a rather ironic twist, most offshore/outsourced jobs wind up in countries that offer government-supported health coverage. (And how do those countries “pay for” that government-supported health coverage? By charging both people AND businesses.)
One more thing: Mr Epstein should’ve asked where all the job growth have been during this last decade of Dubya’s tax cuts when there was NO Affordable Care Act involved. (Of course, the rest of the panel wouldn’t have been able to respond to that question either.)

For a network that likes to tag itself “fair and balanced,” FoxNoise wouldn’t exist if the right-wing hadn’t ended the original “fair and balanced” practice embodied by the Fairness Doctrine.)

“[S]ex selection abortion is rampant in this country – and according to Bill, that makes the USA no different from China.”
Well, I’d like for Bill to explain how the USA IS any different from China, especially the way Bill and his fellow GOPers want to control women’s vaginas. The GOPers want to control vaginas in order to keep women from having abortions; the Chinese want to control vaginas in order to keep their population under some semblance of control. The GOPers seem to value males over females (let insurance companies pay for Viagra, but not the Pill) and, unfortunately, traditional Chinese society prefers males over females (China’s “one child” policy has an exemption if the first child has the misfortune of being penis-less).

Now, as to Starnes’ initial query, I believe there was a little unpleasantness about 150 or so years ago that sort of ended any legal consideration about secession.
Of course, what Starnes probably doesn’t realize is that, if Arizona did secede, then HE would also be subject to the “papers please” law. (Granted, he probably wouldn’t actually have to endure police scrutiny since he could “pass” for an Arizonan. But what’cha wanna bet he’d raise a fuss at having to carry a passport if he wanted to interview Arpaio?)

Okay, exactly what has Mittens done recently that he didn’t do during that farce of a GOP primary campaign? I mean, Rupert was promoting the shizznit out of Mittens for months (even the other GOPer “Not-Ready-for-the-Presidency” Players were able to tell that Mittens was Rupert’s choice; some even said so—on the network itself) and Mittens never looked “like a challenger.” Mittens feels it’s his “turn” and since he avoids any REAL networks (even though most of those “reporters” won’t hardball him any more than FoxNoise).
But the simple reality is that Mittens has never shown any real “fight.” Hell, he barely squeaked out his win to be Massachusetts’ Governor (he only won 49.77% of the vote, and that was running as a “Massachusetts Republican”).

[Fields] responded that it’s “indoctrination” because “it’s not true” and that religious characters in movies are “always the idiot.”
To that last statement, I’d love to see (and hear) how Mel Gibson would react to that comment. I have a feeling she’s only thinking (if I might use that word in its loosest sense) about how Christian fundamentalists are handled. Films like “Rosemary’s Baby,” “The Exorcist,” and even “The Last Temptation of Christ” treated “religious characters” as anything but idiots (okay, the first movie’s “religious characters” were largely “Satanists” but the only folks who would think they were “the idiots” were people who honestly believed that Satanists acted like that). I’d really like to know what SPECIFIC films Fields is referring to. There are a whole horde of films that present scientists as idiots (when they’re not portrayed as “madmen”); I’ve never heard of any legitimate film with a title like “The Absent-Minded Priest” or “The Nutty Rabbi” but Disney had “The Absent-Minded Professor” and, of course, “The Nutty Professor.”
Are there films where “religious characters” are presented as “idiots?” Well, of course there are. But, that’s only because there are “deeply devout” idiots in real-life as well. Just as idiots come in all shapes and sizes, movies tend to reflect that. Now if she’s spending all her time watching films that ONLY show idiotic religious characters, that’s her problem. Maybe she just needs to go broaden her filmgoing horizons. Let her go watch some films like “Psycho” or “Aliens” or "Dracula or “The Ten Commandments.” None of those films have “religious characters” who are “idiots.” The first film seems to lack any “religious characters” but has a couple of idiots—most notably Janet Leigh*—and the second film is filled with idiots but none of whom are really especially “religious” in nature. The third film does have a “religious character” who just happens to also be a scientist (and he’s pretty much the key to defeating Dracula) while the last film presents the basic idea of “my religion is better than yours” (in the process, it makes the Egyptians’ “religious characters” come off as “idiots” but I’m sure Fields doesn’t object to THAT).
I only identify Janet Leigh as an idiot because who the hell stops at a motel that is next-door to such a creepy house in the middle of nowhere? I don’t care how tired I am. Even if I’m “on the lam,” I don’t think I’d be so stupid as to stop at a place like that. (Granted—I *do have the luxury of having seen enough movies where a character does make such an insane decision and ends up being turned into a dead body but, then again, they remade “The Hitcher” less than a decade ago, despite DECADES of people being warned against picking up strangers.)

truman: That should either read “Senor Patel es gran pendejo” or “Senor Patel es un pendejo grande.” (No objection to the lack of diacritics but “grande” only comes AFTER a noun. Before a noun, it shortens to “gran.” Additionally, before the noun, “gran” tends to mean “great” like “Great Britain”—in Spanish, “Gran Bretaña”; “grande” after the noun means “big” like “Rio Grande” which means “Big River.” And I’m reasonably certain that “Señor Patel” is “un pendejo” regardless of where the adjective is placed.)

“Ask the CEO or under person what happens if they have a bad dayâ¦the answer is someone gets in trouble or yelled at.” Or gets demoted or loses their job though that’s more likely to some underling rather than the CEO or top folks. doors, part of the Chevy Chase gag was that, for starters, Ford was a genuinely good sport about it. Ford usually played off his real-life tumbles since he was never seriously injured (or really in much danger of serious injury). Since he was known to be a pretty athletic individual (he’d even played college football), Ford actually seemed to get the humor involved—especially since Chase’s skits were so overexaggerated.
OTOH, Chase has admitted that his tumbles and spills took a very serious toll on his health.

Can anyone tell me if Beck showed as much concern over the dozens of teenagers who committed suicide over being bullied?
Can anyone tell me if Beck has even offered any simiilar disgust at the very issue of school bullying?
We know that prominent right-wingers, over the past couple of years, have been leading efforts to prevent anti-bullying programs (and some have suggested that bullying by Christians be allowed if the “Christians” strongly believe they’re standing up for their religious beliefs).
I feel sorry for the woman, but I’m finding it very topsy-turvy that so many of her “supporters” seem to have been silent when it comes to school bullying. What would the reaction be if that video had shown a 12-year old girl (rather than a senior citizen) being subjected to the same taunts—just as pre-teens, tweens and teens face on a daily basis? Somehow, I can’t believe there would be nearly as much hostility against those responsible.

Ooh, am I waiting for Aria’s smackdown of the latest right-wing plant’s absurdity.
