Even when I was in high school, Time was the most liberal of the major news magazines while US News & World Report competed with Newsweek for being the most conservative (US News & World Report seemed to take a more conservative stance on the “US News” but a more moderate stance on the “World Report” side; Newsweek stayed conservative pretty much across the board).

Maybe Akin needs to watch and read something other than “rape fantasy” porn. We all know what that is—it’s where the “victim” struggles and struggles while the “rapist” begins teasing the “victim” until the struggling turns (almost mystically) into squirms of pleasure and the “victim” starts begging for the “rapist” to f*** her (or him, depending on the type of porn involved). And, eventually, the “victim” becomes a willing, enthusiastic partner who eventually has a mind-shattering orgasm. (And, of course, in the State of California, all such porn is required to have some sort of coda that the “rape” was indeed just a fantasy—some sort of role play activity between consenting adults. IMS, porn producers and directors in California at least, can be fined or even prosecuted for depicting a “real” rape for entertainment purposes. Additionally, I think that any porn sold that depicts a “real” rape can get an adult book store shut down.)

I was going to mention Signorile’s letter. In one of the comments at HuffPo, a man, who contends that he’s a former fellow at the FRC (until he came out), actually claimed that the FRC is not a hate group.
I decided to point out that as long as Perkins and other FRC leaders choose to denigrate LGBTs with vile and disgusting comments, then they deserve the hate group tag.

I’m sorry, but did Hannity actually say that the GOP needs “51 votes to repeal Obamacare?” Really, Seanny? I guess he conveniently forgot about that silly “filibuster” thing. I mean, the Dems have had MORE than 51 votes but how much legislation have they passed without needing 60 votes before the real vote on the legislation?
(Or is this just a hint for GOP Senators to actually make the required rules change in their first days with a Senate majority that would eliminate the filibuster rule?)

Scott, FoxNation.com is part of the same operation that broadcasts as “FoxNews” (and yes, I presented both names under their official names rather than their more accurate snarky names I would have normally used).
AND, since this site is dedicated to covering all things Fox (aside from the legitimate entertainment arm of the Murdoch Empire that offers programming like “Glee,” “The Simpsons,” and “American Idol”—none of which purport to be “news” or “information” programming), the FoxNation.com falls under that purview. The only real difference is that FoxNation.com tends to present material that would NOT be acceptable under the FCC guidelines under which FoxNews purports to operate.

So, the unemployment rate among African-Americans is 14.1% and Trump asks “How can somebody, if you’re African-American, how can you vote for [Obama]?”
Hmm…..of course no one’s going to turn around and ask Trump, “With the unemployment rate among African-Americans at 14.1%, how can an African-American think about voting for any Republican, considering the Republicans have done NOTHING to improve the employment rate for African-Americans? And, considering the fact that all the recent Voter ID bills that have been passed in the past year have been passed by GOP majority legislatures and have been shown to have had an especially adverse affect on the African-American community, why should the GOP think that they deserve any support from the African-American community?”

I wonder if Romney/Ryan will take questions from CURRENT McDonalds employees who might ask how they can make ends meet when they’re netting less than $1000 a month while their monthly bills take $1001 from them?
Oh, wait. I forgot. These are folks who can’t afford to take off time from their jobs to show up at a Romney/Ryan rally/meeting so Romney/Ryan don’t have to worry about ever answering such embarrassing questions. (Hell, most of them will be lucky if they can get enough time from work to vote—even though the law of the land mandates that employers provide all their employees every reasonable opportunity to vote. The reality is that a lot of employers—especially those paying minimum or just-above minimum wages—find ways to circumvent the law and affected employees are often too afraid of losing their jobs to fight for their right to vote.)

Hedrich, you’re an idiot. There is NO effort to impose Sharia law anywhere. But, I’ll also point out that the good state of Louisiana—just a few years ago—instituted a program called “covenant marriage” which is little more than Christian doctrine imposed by the State. (Note that no one is forced to accept a “covenant marriage” but a couple which does is NOT allowed to divorce through normal civil legal procedures.)
For the record, JEWISH communities in this country have had their own religious courts that deal with purely religious issues.
I’d also note that the legislation you want passed is, in itself, a violation of the First Amendment’s guarantee of “freedom of speech” and “freedom of assembly.” It also happens to ignore that other part of the “no law regarding an establishment of religion”—the part that goes “or prohibiting the free practice thereof.” Additionally, I’ll guarantee you that the penalty you seek is a definite violation of the 8th Amendment.
For someone who’s so “concerned” about Sharia law, you certainly don’t seem to understand the Constitution of the United States very well.

John Smith, I don’t know what you’ve been reading or to whom you’ve been listening, but you’ve picked up a really stupid notion: That “we” have “hitched our fan-wagon” to Ms Fluke. What f***in’ “fan-wagon” would that be?
The only thing I’ve seen and read from progressives in regard to Ms Fluke is, to use a metaphor, to “circle our wagons” around her. Efforts to shield her and defend her from all the name-calling from the loons of the right-wing noise machine led by Limbaugh and bolstered by FoxNoise.
Do you have any notion of what would happen if a “liberal” had called any of the female right-wingers (Sarah Palin or Michelle Malkin or Laura Ingraham or any of those harpies) a “slut?” The right-wing noise machine would be calling for all sorts of penalties with a boycott of sponsors being the least of the penalties.
So keep your concerns to yourself. They certainly don’t reflect any semblance of the real world that I’ve seen lately.

And, of course, Carter’s “10 point bounce” in 1980 did him loads of good after Reagan’s bunch of dirty dealers took charge.
And in exactly WHICH year did Clinton get that “16 point bounce?” He ran two presidential campaigns.
Additionally, why is Cameron using, not one, but TWO different DEMOCRATIC Presidents to help bolster his claim for Romney’s “bounce” (since, the last time I looked, Romney is running as a GOPer)?

Well, actually, according to Wisconsin law, if Ryan wants to uphold his “Tea Party values,” then he’ll turn down the offer.
Ryan could run as the GOP nominee for VP and still run for re-election to the House BUT if (by some horrific stroke of fate) Ryan should become the VP, his House re-election would be voided and the people of Ryan’s district would be subjected to a special election to fill Ryan’s seat. And, as we all know, special elections cost money and the Tea Party supposedly hates it when the government wastes money.
Of course, Ryan’s “Tea Party values” are non-existent. Ryan is only interested in what benefits Paul Ryan. (OTOH, Ryan might prefer to decline Romney’s offer since a VP Ryan would have a lot less power than House member Ryan.)

Actually, Visitor, the “welfare queen” is alive and well. The only problem for O’Reilly is that “she” is now more likely to be major corporations and GOP-voting farmers and ranchers who rely on government subsidies when their farms and ranches suffer major failures.
If the Supreme Court had gone all the way and granted full rights of citizenship to corporations in the wake of Citizens United, that polling data would be quite incorrect. That group of “welfare queens” would be responsible for Romney’s having a 20 or 30 point lead over Obama.

You know, it’s hard to believe but a Palinista (or should that be a “MILFer for Palin”?) who actually stated a truism in an attack on Obama. True. “David Dankberg” wrote “But when you canât campaign on your record, disseminating bold falsehoods is really all he can do.” And you know what? It’s true. Unfortunately for the Double-D-man, that same statement applies to Mitt Romney.
As we’ve all seen, Romney’s determined to make his time with Bain “off-limits” for the campaign. He’s determined to make sure his record as Governor of Massachusetts is “off-limits” for the campaign. His tax records are “off-limits.” So, exactly what “record” can Romney campaign on? It doesn’t seem like he’s able to campaign on HIS record so he’s left with “disseminating bold falsehoods.”
Thank you, David, for playing. But you can now go back to whacking off to whatever Sarah Palin pics you have.

Well, Brian, until I see mAnnie’s long-form birth certificate stating which gender mAnnie was born, I’m going to continue. (For the record, a decent transgender person insists on using the proper pronoun and would actually be more insulted by the he/she or his/her/its tag. An M-to-F transgender person expects to be addressed with “she” and “her” and an F-to-M transgender expects to be addressed with “he” and “him.” A drag queen in full drag—RuPaul, for instance—will be more insulted with masculine pronouns and will not be offended by the use of feminine pronouns; I would expect drag kings would have the same reaction, just in reverse. As to true hermaphrodites, I believe they are only offended when he/she and his/her/its are used in deliberately degrading instances applying to THEM; I doubt that any true hermaphrodite would object to such usage when applied to Coulter.)
Now, having written all that, I’m going to issue a WARNING and that you stop reading before that (because the comment may very well cause you to take offense on behalf of those who probably didn’t ask you to speak for them).
WARNING (mainly for Brian)
Ellen, Coulter is both 50 and 48. Coulter was physically born 50 years ago. Coulter’s vagina, however, was successfully created 48 years ago.
