On March 26th, Bill O’Reilly promised on national television that if the individual mandate was ruled Constitutional, he would not only apologize for his zeal in attacking it, but also admit to being an idiot. Well, as Ellen wrote in a post about that segment, O’Reilly’s promise was duly noted and she made her own promise to hold him to it. Yet in a lengthy discussion about the ruling on The O’Reilly Factor tonight, Bill made no apology, much less admitted to being an idiot.
His actual wording on March 26, 2012:
This is absolutely a mandate, it’s absolutely a force, it’s absolutely police powers from the federal government… and it’s gonna be five to four. And if I’m wrong, I will come on, and I will play your clip, and I will apologize for being an idiot.
We’re waiting, Bill. Here’s the video, in case you forgot.
And here's tonight's discussion about today's ruling upholding the mandate - with no apology.
In his own mind he is the intellectional that never was.
There will be no apology forthcoming ,so lets move on.
NOTE TO BILLY
