Planned Parenthood is an organization that empowers women by assisting them to control their fertility. And that's why the "traditionalist," anti-choice, misogynist Bill O'Reilly hates Planned Parenthood and never wastes an opportunity to attack it with "pro-life" propaganda and lies. In his crusade against this organization and women's health, he has embraced the virginal James O'Keefe protege Lila Rose, a good girl who, like Bill, is on a mission from God to destroy Planned Parenthood via her sting videos which have yet to yield a crime conviction or clinic shut-down. Her newest strategy consists of edited videos which show Planned Parenthood employees honestly answering a "15" year old's questions about BDSM which, for godly anti-choicers, is a not a topic suitable for teens - but, a topic that gets Bill's juices flowing. On Wednesday, O'Reilly's attack on Planned Parenthood included some kink talk and, as a bonus, Bill's declaration that Planned Parenthood is guilty of breaking the law in another case currently under investigation.
O'Reilly began by reporting that Planned Parenthood is under investigation by the state of Arizona "for failing to report a possible rape of an underage girl." In advancing Lila Rose's anti-choice agitprop, he made the bogus and hyperbolic claim that Planned Parenthood is "under fire," across the country, "for inappropriate and perhaps criminal conduct towards minors." He noted that - wait for it - Rose's "Live Action" (doesn't it sound so porny?) did another sting video. Bill described how a woman, posing as a 15 year old, "asked for advice concerning a boyfriend." He issued a "viewer warning" because "some of the tape you're going to hear is graphic." (That'll get the Barcalounger Brigade's attention!)
As usual with Rose's Fox videos, only a snippet, obviously edited, was shown with no greater context such as the conversation leading up to the counselor's commentary. As usual with Rose's videos, nothing inappropriate is happening. The counselor is giving honest information. Bill didn't show the part, preceding his clip, when the counselor said that "if he wants to try something that's physical, that is gonna cause you harm or pain and you're OK with that, that's a completely different thing than if he wants to try something to do that you're not OK with..." After Bill played the part during which the counselor mentioned rope burns and clamp marks and said that it's OK if it's consensual, Father Bill shook his head and said "not OK."
The rest of the segment focused on an allegation that the Tempe, Arizona Planned Parenthood failed to report the rape of a 14 year old who obtained an abortion at the clinic. The virulently anti-gay Alliance Defending Freedom (a group pimped by O'Reilly on a recent program) is now involved and quelle surprise, one of their representatives was more than happy to fill Bill in on all the details.
Kristen Waggoner spoke about how an 18 year old has been indicted on multiple counts of sexual assault and one of his victims "reported the rape to Planned Parenthood." (This is an allegation and not a fact) She explained that her group has filed a complaint requiring that Arizona formally investigate this. She noted that the "allegations" are that the Planned Parenthood worker didn't want to report the rape. To Bill's question of Planned Parenthood's response, she claimed that "they issued an ambiguous statement" about their commitment to the law but "actions speak louder than words." She reported that the mother of the child says that she told the clinic about the rape and that this is contained in the sheriff's report. Bill, not an attorney, said "they're toast then, if you have that kind of evidence, you have it all, then Planned Parenthood is guilty."
He wanted to know if the counselor will be prosecuted or the clinic shut down. Waggoner said her group wants Planned Parenthood to be accountable and shut down if they "violated the law" because this is about the safety of young girls. O'Reilly said the rapist "could have been stopped if Planned Parenthood has obeyed the law." He lamented that nothing will be done because "on this program, tape after tape, all over the country shows these Planned Parenthood counselors talking to minors in inappropriate ways and sometimes illegal ways directing them into activities that they shouldn't be directed to; but nothing seems to happen to them, Planned Parenthood." (Maybe that's because the edited tapes don't show anything incriminating!)
So America's youth should be getting their sex education from Bill O'Reilly? Seriously? But here's the thing, if Bill O'Reilly thinks that Lila Rose's sting videos are legit he can keep on pretending!!!
Older women give young girls advice? Well, we can’t prove anything, but, BLASPHEMY, cause, you know….
Bill, if you or Lila had a smoking gun, you would have used it by now. Just hold on to your sinking ratings as best you can, and wait for the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film to come out, seeing as it’s literally all you have left to get your audience angry at something, as usual, unimportant.
