Is this man a practicing doctor affiliated with a hospital? How can he be so ignorant about how things work—except by choice. The ER is packed now with people who can’t or won’t pay for a doctor office visit. But he thinks they’ll want to sit for 6 hours or more in an ER with a sore throat instead of going to a dr. office or clinic for 2 hours or less on their insurance, right. I wouldn’t be a patient of this guy, who clearly can’t think straight.

Low taxes also won’t make up for the very real problems of school underfunding and crumbling infrastructure that make Texas very low in the area of quality of life. The basic conservative ideas that all anyone needs to succeed in life are hard work and low taxes—these criteria are alive and thriving in Texas today. And Since most of Texas’ job gains are in low wage jobs, they don’t really need educated citizens, I guess.

Gretchen’s so -serious demeanor is a hoot. They must think this was criminal behavior. Do they ever listen to the things they say about Democrats on Fox? Is this any different? I remember having to sit through many a rant by teachers in both H.S. and college, and on wide range of topics. Ecology, abortion divorce, among them. One teacher had a little breakdown in class.

If I thought like a right winger I might say, “This professor was giving his opinion, and they want to shut him down. FREE SPEECH, FREE SPEECH.” Life in the USA must be really tough if you simply can’t tolerate hearing speech you disagree with.
