When you’re more worried about someone getting something they don’t deserve, than about people going hungry, then you get nonsense like this masquerading as Christian philosophy. The childish obsession with what other people have, and keeping every penny of what I have is a philosophy of selfishness and greed that is damaging the soul of our country.

So for one hour Stossel pretended to be homeless. He didn’t eat in a shelter or sleep on the street. He didn’t try to get medical or psychiatric care from the VA or an emergency room. The only part of homelessness that interests Stossel is “How much money do they earn?” Pig is too generous a word for this man.

Do the people at Fox feel that Oprah’s comments were directed at them? They certainly are acting like it. I’ve never met anyone who claimed to be a racist. However, I do hear racists denying racism ALL THE TIME. And that is what Fox is doing-what they spend a lot of time on-defending their group personality issues.

I keep hearing the refrain that Obamacare is a disaster-from Fox watchers, anyway. As a health plan administrator, I have watched rates skyrocket for the last 20 years. 5%, 10%, 25% and more premium increases each and every year-before Obamacare. And each year our plan covered less and less.

So rising rates is simply not a new thing. This year I saw, for the first time a decrease in rates. Not everyone has had the same experience of course. But time will tell us whether Obamacare has helped the situation. But I’ll credit Obama for doing something to try to stem the meteoric rise of health care costs— at least its better than the Republican plan which is doing nothing at all while people are suffering and dying needlessly while in the midst of the ’world’s best health care system.’

Its true Dave, that which appeals to the Republican base and Fox viewers is foul, immature and repellent to other people. Megyn reminds me so much of girls I went to school with in the 7th grade!

When it becomes a crime to say something untruthful to the public, over the airwaves, Megyn Kelly needs to start worrying about HER freedom.

I have no doubt someone like Bully-Bolling responded well to getting a paddling. This kind of punishment works well for those of a basic maturity level who understand life in terms of power — who has it and who doesn’t.

However, most people have a more advanced view of life and don’t operate at the level Bolling does. This punishment would have quite the opposite effect on more mature individuals, who would feel assaulted. The problem with Bolling is a simplistic and narcissistic view that all people are basically the same as he is, and this is so very, demonstrably wrong.

Ho hum. Are ratings in need of a boost? Or are Tea Partiers feeling defeated after getting their butts kicked over the shut down? Lets jin up some crap about impeaching Obama (every right-wingers fantasy) and pretend that making a misleading statement in a speech is an impeachable offense. The rubes need some more red meat.

People who bought and liked their lousy insurance plans were leaving the taxpayers on the hook for their uncovered and unpayable medical bills. Pavone did a great job of pointing out Kelly’s false and misleading narrative. Her hysteria was due to her being bested in an argument in which her facts were not as good as Pavone’s.

These are not plans that responsible people should want to keep. I understand if they didn’t know they were buying crap before, but if your plan was cancelled, you can be fairly sure it was cancelled because it didn’t cover you for major medical expenses. Which, frankly is really what insurance is for!

Its a shame that more Fox hosts aren’t trained in journalism, or they would know how much they embarrass themselves by going on the air with this kind of sensationalist garbage every day.

Am I wrong? Didn’t Allen West and Alan Grayson at different times represent the same district in Florida? I think the district was redrawn since then.

Bill deflects real criticism of his book by claiming people hate religion—its Bill’s version of religion that has caused the criticism.

His claims that the book would be fact-based were criticized because his only sources of ‘facts’ were a) The Bible and b) things Catholics believe which aren’t in the Bible but are tradition, ie: Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. NOT in the Bible and actually debunked as untrue for some time now.

His claim that Jesus was killed by the Romans because he was attempting to disrupt the payment of taxes to Rome. I had never heard this one. You’d have to selectively read and heavily edit the Bible to come up with this one. Remember, “Render unto Cesar what is Cesar’s and render unto God what is God’s.” Bill takes this very materialistically (rather than spiritually) to mean that God owns everything and Cesar owns nothing, so render unto Cesar nothing.

Unborn life is about the only kind of life the right concerns itself with. The lives of those with pre- existing conditions, or who can’t pay for medicine or a dr. visit out of pocket, well those ‘lives’ are on their own.

Hannity would probably bring in a lot more viewers with Weiner sitting at the desk with him every night. It would make him put more effort into his ideas which are stale and repetitive and suited only for the half-asleep crowd at 10.

Its quite a nifty trick to both celebrate the ‘slimdown’ and curse the shutdown. Are they really two different things in Fox’ folks minds? This is really creepy.

l wouldn’t put it past Fox to plant a story like this at a satire site so they could -oops!- report it. It does perfectly fit their fake narrative.

Republicans apparently have no faith in their own actions. They wanted to shut down the government; but they take no responsibility for it; but they claim that a shut down is a good thing anyway; and if it actually does turn out to be a good thing for their base, they will try to take credit for the ‘slimming’ down of government. They are like a dog chasing its tail.
