Joseph West commented on Megyn Kelly Promotes Dubious Assertion That Ft. Hood Shooter Will Psych Out Witnesses – And That They Might Lynch Him In Return 2013-06-05 02:24:17 -0400 · Flag

“Let me say my heart goes out to her guest, retired Sergeant Alonzo Lunsford. He was seriously wounded in the attack and is not an attorney or a news person. There’s no reason to expect or demand that he have the same amount of – or even any – distance or professionalism in the matter. So I don’t blame him for saying:

Yes, it’s a travesty. And Major Hasan is trying to make a mockery out of our justice system… and our way of life. I feel as if he’s going to use the trial as a platform to try to rally other extreme jihadists to try to react in a negative manner. As well as that by him being a psychiatrist, he knows what buttons to push to trigger our PTSD and TBI. But what he fails to realize is that we are smarter people so my being an NCO myself, I’m not going to let him push those buttons because I will maintain my military bearing."

Ellen, I’m sorry but the man’s LAST sentence is “I will maintain my military bearing” yet, given his comment to Megyn, he wasn’t able to do so on a national TV program where he’s NOT facing hostile questioning. And, as to “professionalism,” he’s military. They’re expected to maintain a certain level of professionalism in every aspect of their lives. It may not be the same as would be expected of an attorney or a news person (neither term really applies to Megyn Kelly, either) but it is a type of professionalism nonetheless. If I were the military prosecutor in this case, I would avoid putting Lunsford on the stand because I think he’d do the case more harm than good.

@ Paul Julian: Just imagine the outrage from FoxNoise if some “liberal” made a slip and actually said, “There’s a problem with Christianity … er, I’m sorry, I meant to say a problem withIN Christianity . . .” Somehow, I don’t think that the self-correction would be noted—at least, not until FoxNoise had squeezed a week’s worth of outrage from the comment.

“I’m upset that they cannot use Travon Martins past records of trying to sell a gun , smoking weed, suspended in school.”

Okay. I’m confused. I thought Republicons and Teabaggers SUPPORTED people “trying to sell a gun.” Wasn’t that one of the reasons so many of them opposed expanding background checks? Then, of course, there’s the fact that Zimmerman was claiming that he was merely following Florida’s “stand your ground” law which allows guns

As for “smoking weed,” polls suggest that a majority of YOUNG GOPers don’t have any problem with weed, and even support legalizing it (or, at the very least, decriminalizing it).

And as for “suspended in [sic] school,” given the state of modern schools, you can get suspended for almost anything (even wearing a Tweety bird necklace because some teacher thinks it could be a weapon). And how many students were sent home, under threat of suspension, to change their shirts bearing “obscene” or “offensive” words or phrases?

Then again, this was a comment from a FoxNoise viewer so it’s not surprising he (maybe she?) can’t keep his “talking points” straight. They do change so fast.

On a more serious note, why is it that BillO is supporting a suspected lawbreaker? BillO wouldn’t be very supportive of a Mexican tourist visiting the US who was arrested (on possible trumped-up charges) for drug possession. In fact, I can imagine BillO would be howling the loudest if that tourist were NOT sitting in a Joe Arpaio-designed jail, rotting away without any access to a lawyer.

But an “American” who’s arrested for violating another country’s drug possession laws, and BillO’s going to be in that person’s corner. (Unless, of course, that American had a history of supporting Democrats.)

@ Janet: You’ll not only need that hot shower, but likely need to use some scouring powder and a steel wool loofah just to make sure that all the nasty is removed. (And, just make sure you’re squeaky clean again, a bath might be needed as well. Get your tub half-filled with hot water from the tap, then add a couple of gallons of stove-boiled water, one or two gallons of vinegar, about a pound of salt, and get that steel wool—or a Brillo pad—ready. If you still feel there’s some icky on you, you might just go get a power sander.)

Joseph West commented on Fox Guest: We Need More Greenhouse Gases! 2013-05-27 23:53:26 -0400 · Flag
I wonder how many of the FoxNoise hosts and guests live within 10 miles of a plant that emits greenhouse gases?

What these folks don’t really get is the fact that, in the last 50 years, a major reason for the increasing climate change has to do with “nature’s detoxifiers” (ie, trees) being cut down (A) for more farmland or industrial development or (B) for fuel. When the Industrial Revolution began, while the growing pollution problem seriously affected large cities, the planet as a whole wasn’t too badly affected since there were still vast tracts of trees all over the planet’s temperate climes (even in Jolly Old England, there were huge swaths of forests while the folks in London were choking on pollution thick enough to cut with a knife). These trees helped to regulate the natural conversion of CO2 to good old O2 (sorry—not really sure how to subscript the 2s). Nowadays, however, the trees have to do so much more work (not too unlike a business which makes its 6 paid employees work 12 hours a day, for 6 days a week instead of having 9 paid employees work 8 hours a day, 6 days a week) since there are so many fewer to do the work, and it takes a much longer time to get “new labor.”

“The Republican Party and the TEA Party are dominated and controlled by Christian Reconstructionists called Dominionists. They are theocrats who wish to replace our American Republic with a Christian fascist state. For the past 30 years they have sought to legislate Old Testament Levitical Law, more commonly called Biblical Law, as the law of the land.”

And the truly ironic thing about this is these are the SAME people who raise the biggest fuss over the prospect of “Shariah law” and they are just too fucking blind to see how their desires are NO different from all those “evil Muslims” trying to take over the country.

Joseph West commented on Megyn Kelly Freaks Out During Interview With Gosnell Attorney 2013-05-24 13:53:39 -0400 · Flag
If I’d been Mr McMahon, the FIRST time that Kelly went off on her little rant, I would’ve reminded her about what REAL lawyers do, and don’t do, in court and that I was there for an interview, not an ambush, much less being subjected to potentially slanderous statements, designed to serve whatever agenda she was espousing. The SECOND time, I would’ve simply said, “I see you’ve already determined the outcome of this interview so there’s really no reason for me to continue with this charade. Goodbye.” and then removed my microphone, got up and left the studio. (And if it were actually fully live, I would’ve added a “F*ck you, you sorry bubble-headed b*tch” while removing the microphone—in just a loud enough voice for it to be audible but also just soft enough to make people think I was muttering it under my breath.)

Joseph West commented on O’Reilly, Guilfoyle And Wiehl Whoop It Up Over Jodi Arias’ Potential Death Sentence 2013-05-23 16:42:18 -0400 · Flag
It’s too bad that Ms Arias didn’t try to paint her boyfriend as some sort of “secret Marxist/Socialist Muslim.” She would’ve had FoxNoise in her corner till the bitter end and, of course, the FoxNoise bobbleheads would’ve had hours and hours of programming dedicated to proving her allegations—no matter how blatantly absurd or denied by the victim’s friends and relatives who testified against Arias—and then, after the verdict came in against Arias, we could’ve had hours of programming devoted to examining just how deep the “conspiracy against Arias” really ran (naturally, Obama and Holder and the DOJ, even the IRS, would eventually be lured into FoxNoise’s evil web of suspicion and accusation).

Filipina anchor-baby screech: "Well, I agree with you. I think it’s because political correctness in so many ways has been the handmaiden of Islamic terrorism not only in this country but in many PC countries around the world. …It’s barbaric, it’s evil, we need to call it what it is. "

And the UK’s being the subject of so much “Islamic terrorism” couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the way that country’s been the US lapdog with respect to so much misinformed involvement in the Middle East and Afghanistan, now could it? Or the fact that the UK was once the chief military and political power in so much of that region, including the time that allowed so much illegal Jewish settlement in Palestine, would have absolutely nothing to do with why so many Muslims might have a big hate-on for the UK either, now could it?

No. It’s all because of “political correctness”—that right-wing bogeyman that is so feared because it keeps people from being able to hate everyone openly and in a proper bigoted manner. And let’s face it, Ms Filipina Anchor Baby, that’s the ONLY reason you right-wingers loathe “political correctness”—because you no longer have the right to go on the airwaves and spout hate-filled epithets without repercussions. Of course, PC behavior actually benefits you, Ms Filipina Anchor Baby, because without it, you wouldn’t have a job because you’re too brown. It also benefits you because I can’t call you the many misogynistic terms that so accurately describe you and your vile, wretched maggot-infested excuse for a brain.

@ truman: How can those black and brown voters swallow Bildo’s bullshit when they don’t listen to him? Remember: FoxNoise, where we’re openly proud of our gray-haired, deaf and senile white audience (we just wish they wouldn’t keep dying off ‘cause they’re so hard to replace).

Joseph West commented on Rumsfeld Lectures Obama About Truthfulness Over Benghazi 2013-05-15 02:57:00 -0400 · Flag
Yeah. Donald Rumsfeld. The man who, during the Reagan Administration, was photographed gladly shaking the hand of Saddam Hussein—even though he and the rest of the Reagan cabal knew exactly what kind of man Saddam was. Then, less than 20 years later, he was the cheerleader to take out Saddam. (You also forgot to remind people that it was largely Rumsfeld who sold the war “on the cheap,” causing Americans to have to send desert-appropriate clothing to the soldiers after hearing reports about the uniforms that basically melted in the Iraqi desert heat. Another part of Rumsfeld’s failure to befriend Truth.)

Sure. This is a man who has any moral standing to give a lecture about “truthfulness” on any crisis.

Joseph West commented on Megyn Kelly Pimps GOP 'Gosnell' Resolution - Minus Pertinent Facts 2013-05-15 02:50:24 -0400 · Flag
“Kelly explained that Mike Lee and other Republicans thought the resolution was necessary because the state of Pennsylvania, under Republican governor Tom Ridge, neglected to inspect Gosnell’s clinic. Kelly claimed that PA Department of Health officials brushed aside concerns about these inspections by saying that “people die” (Really?) and that’s why Republicans got involved."

Okay. I read that a half-dozen times and I still can’t quite figure out how the GOPers in Congress are going to correct what GOPers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania failed to do in the first place.

Isn’t it the GOP in Congress that continually want to gut programs that would do EXACTLY what the GOP’s “resolution” would supposedly correct? We’ve got fewer USDA inspectors to check meat plants and various farms to ensure our food supply is safe thanks to GOPers who insist the “industries will regulate themselves.” We’ve got fewer OSHA inspections to guarantee safe workplaces and fewer OSHA case handlers covering worker complaints about violations, again thanks to GOPers who insist the “industries will regulate themselves.” And yet, these fuckwads (sorry, I’m in no mood to play nice) seem to think there will be funds readily available to conduct all these “inspections” to ensure that the clinics are up to snuff.

And, of course, these nuts don’t seem to feel it’s necessary to get government inspections of other healthcare facilities (such as dentist offices like the one that made the news a couple of months ago where the instruments weren’t being properly sterilized and some of the anesthesia were expired and some patients actually died).

I wish people would wake up and realize what shitheads these GOPers are and what kind of bullshit FoxNoise continually spews.
