Bill O’Reilly Threatens To Boycott Mexico And ‘Collapse Their Economy’

Posted by Ellen -7841.60pc on May 30, 2013 · Flag

Bill O’Reilly, King of the World, threatened to add Mexico to his list of boycotted countries – again last night. You may recall that Mexico narrowly escaped a 2012 boycott when they submitted to O’Reilly’s mighty microphone and released an American prisoner he previously used to threaten the country. Now, with another American in a Mexican prison under even more dubious circumstances, “I don’t do boycotts” O’Reilly issued his threat. Release her this week or else I collapse the economy! UPDATED

There’s no doubt the arrest of Yanira Maldonado is extremely suspicious. But it’s more than a little ridiculous for someone who’s supposedly a news host to step into the middle of it and threaten a country. But that’s what O’Reilly did. “I think this is the end of Mexico tourism if they charge her. I think that’s it. I don’t think any American’s gonna go there,” he told guest Megyn Kelly on last night’s O’Reilly Factor.

You can’t keep throwing Americans in jail… You can’t keep doing this! …The heavy evidence is that this is a frame-up, that they wanted to shake her down. And that’s what a lot of Mexicans do… and it’s a corrupt country. We know that. But I’ll tell you what. I think this is the tipping point. I think if Mexico goes ahead and prosecutes this woman and keeps her in a filthy prison, that Americans are gonna say, “Know what? Adios. We’re not going there.” And if that happens, the Mexican economy collapses.

…Guess who’s gonna lead that boycott, Ms. Megyn? …I’m keeping my powder dry until Friday. We’re gonna give ‘em a chance to do the right thing. They do the wrong thing… If the judge does not throw the case out, it will be muy malo for Mexico.

Everybody laughed.

Update: Maldonado has been freed. Mexico can breathe a sigh of relief now!

Exactly, Anne-Claire. This is just another lame-ass, desperate attempt by BOR to make himself relevant. Pitiful. I bet BOR is bummed that the severe storms last night interrupted what would have been his first chance to bogusly suggest that the judge must have let her go because he heard about “The Factor’s” boycott threat. Bwaaah!

When I first read the story I knew Bile would be not far behind. The pompous idiot is once again making a total ass of himself with another one of his absurd boycotts.
And if said pompous ass thinks I’m going to stop eating Mexican food I have news for him.

Now that those Mexcans have obeyed Bildo’s command, it’s time for Bildo and his Barcalounger Brigade to focus on bigger targets. How about North Korea and Iran for starters?

Ms. Maldonado has been released!!! Junior has brought another country to it’s knees!! Think of all our tax dollars being wasted on having a military. We can just have Bellowing Billow keep the rest of the world in line. How about it? What say you Junior?

I heard some people say that O’Reilly plans to run for President in 2016, given that he’s clearly more influential than the sitting President.

(snark warning, JIC)

Oh Bejeebus, not again.

Are you telling me if the Mexican gov’t lets this woman go and drops the charges, that O’Loofah is gonna take credit for it once again???

I don’t know why he doesn’t demand to be named U.S. Ambassador to Mexico. Because it seems when he speaks, the Mexicans listen. Heaven forbid his vast listening audience boycotts some all-inclusives in Cancun or the Maya Riviera.

On a more serious note, why is it that BillO is supporting a suspected lawbreaker? BillO wouldn’t be very supportive of a Mexican tourist visiting the US who was arrested (on possible trumped-up charges) for drug possession. In fact, I can imagine BillO would be howling the loudest if that tourist were NOT sitting in a Joe Arpaio-designed jail, rotting away without any access to a lawyer.

But an “American” who’s arrested for violating another country’s drug possession laws, and BillO’s going to be in that person’s corner. (Unless, of course, that American had a history of supporting Democrats.)

Hmmm. “Yanira Maldonado.” Doesn’t sound all too ‘Merkin to me. In fact, sound pretty much like one of them illegals’ names. But if Bill says she needs to be supported, that’s good enough for me.

(The above is snark. But it does seem to be something you’d expect from one of O’Reilly’s fans.)

Those Mexcans better wise up soon and release her. Bildo and his Barcalounger Brigade took their business away from France a few years ago and almost destroyed their economy. I know it’s true because Bildo said it was written up in the Paris Business Review. I can’t find that publication, but it must exist because Bildo said so.

I have a feeling this matter will get tossed very quickly, and that O’Reilly will try to take credit for it. This isn’t the same thing as the guy last year – that was a situation where the guy blatantly violated Mexican law. This is a scenario where the Mexican officials will want to wash their hands of this and get her out of there.

Tell us Junior, did Dear Old Dad win World War II all by himself? Did he force Germany & Japan to surrender? Did you inherit these delusions of grandeur?
