Fox News’ Ralph Peters Hates America – And Fox Loves Him For It

Fox News “strategic analyst” Lt. Col. Ralph Peters delivered another jaw-dropping rant of hate against President Obama last night. On the Hannity show, Peters claimed Obama “just doesn’t like America very much” is “not grateful” to it, “despises” the military and  “distrusts” the population. But Peters’ extreme animosity toward our president – which presumably includes the majority of Americans who elected him twice – reveals that the one who really hates America is Peters. Yet he is on Fox News so often these days, I half expect him to be co-hosting with Megyn Kelly or Sean Hannity one night soon.

There seems to be no end of Peters’ hatred for President Obama. And Peters’ spewing that hatred is Obama’s fault, too!

PETERS: One of the many tragedies here is, had our first mixed-race president been merely competent, a bit less arrogant, a bit more capable, had he just been an average president – a Taft or a Coolidge – it would have been so great for this country. He could have brought people together. It would have been great for our image in the world.

…He doesn’t really connect with people. He doesn’t really care about other human beings. He is, I think, the most narcissistic, self-absorbed president we’ve ever had. And that’s saying something ‘cause all presidents are self-absorbed to a degree.

How did Hannity respond to this onslaught of hostility and disrespect toward our president? The kind of talk that Hannity once condemned as emboldening our enemies and undermining our troops? By eating it up. He said, “I gotta tell you, I’m listening to you. I have great respect for you, Colonel.”

Peters also claimed – in Russian, no less – to quote Putin saying about Obama, “What a weak, indecisive man.” Peters never explained where he got this pipeline into Putin’s thoughts or words. Other than Peters’ open admiration for Putin, no relationship between the two was indicated. Yet, Peters declared, “I mean, Putin has no respect for him. No one respects our president.” Hannity never questioned a word.

But Peters wasn’t done. His next rant contained a racial dog whistle to go with the rest of the substance-free smears::

PETERS: You know, (Obama) just doesn’t like America very much. He’s not grateful to it. He doesn’t like our system of government: the separation  of powers – clearly he doesn’t like that. He’d much rather have the Hugo Chavez or Juan Peron model. He’s a man who doesn’t like our military, who believes America is the problem. As we heard as far back as the Cairo speech – I mean, we have a man, he’s not a cipher, exactly, in the Oval Office, but he’s a man who was elected president of a country he doesn’t really like and whose population he distrusts and whose military he despises.

In the first place, it’s hard to think how any man could run for president twice if he didn’t love this country. Secondly, how stupid and foolish would our population have to be to twice elect a guy who dislikes us so much?

If the question crossed Hannity’s mind, he didn’t raise it. He said appreciatively, “That’s a powerful statement. And Colonel, thank you so much for being with us.”

Peters has been delivering this kind of America-despising message on Fox regularly lately: On June 3, Peters said "Team Obama... knows nothing about military and cares less about those who actually serve."  On July 2, Peters called President Obama an "acolyte of Bill Ayers, (who) treated Bergdahl and his family better than he treated any American hero, dead or alive, and their families." Yesterday, in an earlier appearance on Fox, Peters blamed President Obama for the crash of MH17, saying, "He’s not worried about the United States but what’s in it for him. And so we see Putin behaving utterly lawlessly, Brian, and nothing happens. Why on earth shouldn’t Putin behave that way?"

Megyn Kelly closed The Kelly File last night by teasing that Peters will be her guest Monday night. As if we don’t already know what he’s going to say.

@ truman Don’t forget about the title CHICKENHAWK EMERITUS truman. It’s VERY EASY for Ralph Peters to shoot his gunpowder-filled mouth off the way he does on Faux Spews Channel and in his weekly column in the Herr Goebbels II (i.e. Murdoch) owned New York Post. After all, he’s NEVER, EVER spent a minute of his “military” career STATIONED INSIDE A COMBAT ZONE!

Passed-over full Colonel Ralphie looks like a strong contender for this week’s Fux Noise Outrageous Quote contest.

Peters even blamed Obama for hating him.
