Jon Stewart Says Bill O'Reilly Is Papabili!
As he so often reminds us, Bill O'Reilly is a devout Catholic who is on a one man crusade (or is it jihad) against those evil secularists, dirty women, and truly satanic LGBT types who are all trying to tear down Bill's traditionalist America and his beloved church. As he so often reminds us, he is "looking out for us." But while he does command quite an audience, not everybody has access to his pontifications. He really needs to go from Fox News urbi to global orbi. So who better to don those papal Pradas and exchange his Fox crown for a papal mitre than TV's own Bill O'Reilly?! Jon Stewart certainly recognizes the papal possibilities for the very "papabili" PapaBilly O'Reilly who, as Stewart astutely notes, already thinks he's infallible! And if he's not papabili, I think it's safe to say he's papabully.

Fox is still promoting their new hero, Dr. Ben Carson. And what better way to do so than by turning him into a victim of President Obama? On Monday (3/4/13), Your World, whose host, Neil Cavuto, is the father of the “Cavuto Mark,” featured a discussion FoxNews.com called, “Did WH issue warning to Prayer Breakfast speaker?” Carson, you may recall, earned his heroic status by criticizing President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast –and now Fox is promoting a presidential run for him in 2016.

Oh, look! Megyn Kelly found a new person of color to attack! This time, it’s Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend. Apparently, the girlfriend lied – not, as far as anyone knows, about what is expected to be key testimony: that shooter George Zimmerman was following Martin before shooting him but about being in the hospital on the day of his funeral.
Read moreBill O'Reilly Uses Jessica's Law To Gay Bait? Again?
Bill O'Reilly has taken his crusade (or is it jihad) on behalf of Jessica's Law to the Colorado legislature which, in agreement with other legal entities, deems it unnecessary. But that's not good enough for Bill who, not only attacked the CO House speaker, Mark Ferrandino, but sicced Jesse Watters on him. On the first Factor hit piece, O'Reilly brought up the irrelevant fact that Ferrandino, who tabled the bill, is openly gay. In another Factor segment, after showing Watters' sting video, Bill again mentioned that Ferrandino is gay (and *lied about his support for marijuana legalization). If this gay baiting sounds familiar, it is! In 2007, Bill O'Reilly and Jesse Watters attacked the openly gay chairman of the Vermont House Judiciary Committee over the same issue. If, by Bill's own standards, hate speech is "designed to marginalize and harm an adversary, business rival or someone else the hater doesn't like," it appears that Bill O'Reilly, once again, could be engaging in homophobic hate speech.
Read moreEven in the Authorized Version, Roger Ailes Is Not a Nice Guy
Not even an authorized biography can turn Roger Ailes into a nice guy. At least that’s the impression left from the preview, published in Vanity Fair, of a new book, Roger Ailes: Off Camera, written by Zev Chafets with extensive cooperation from Fox News' chief, which will be published later this month. The book portrays Ailes as a control freak and a combative, competitive tough guy, who called President Obama “lazy”, Newt Gingrich a “prick” and Joe Biden “dumb as an ashtray.”

Is there anyone who cares what two-time voter-fraud suspect Ann Coulter thinks about immigration? Although her bio says she formerly worked on immigration issues, she's really known for her flame-throwing at liberals - while tossing around her bleached-blonde tresses and clad in something low cut. In other words, she gave up any claim to serious punditry many, many slurs ago. In fact, in less than a minute, she showed her utter ignorance of the border situation by blaming the media for the lack of a fence along the U.S. southern border.
Read moreDennis Miller Now Smearing Alan Colmes
Dennis Miller, one of Fox News’ stable of so-called comedians recast as pundits, made his regular Wednesday night visit to the O’Reilly Factor last night where he responded to O’Reilly’s attack on “shoot out with” Alan Colmes of the night before. Instead of offering any real opinion, Miller used the opportunity to make gratuitous smears of Colmes. The implicit message was: who cares if O'Reilly was right or wrong to call Colmes a "liar" when he (correctly) pointed out spending cuts proposed by President Obama? The only thing that matters to Miller is the opportunity to show his disdain for both of them.
Read moreJudgmental (?) Bill O'Reilly Lectures Fundamentalist Pastor About Biblical Allegory
Bill O'Reilly must have had quite the "road to Damascus" moment because he certainly has fallen off his high horse with regard to his evolution on, yes, evolution! In 2009, he bloviated that Jesus guided evolution and that science still hasn't "figured it out." In 2011 O'Reilly, in a heated argument with atheist Richard Dawkins, said that he was a creationist. That same year, he dismissed the scientific basis for the tides. Not only does he now embrace science, but he feels that it's his duty to lecture fundamentalist Christians, who interpret the Bible literally, on how their beliefs aren't scientific. Last week, he chided the producers of the History Channel's "The Bible" on their beliefs - and pimped is upcoming book on Jesus. In a subsequent "Tip of the Day" he suggested that those who don't share his views on the bible as allegory are like jihdadists. And last night, he continued his biblical exegesis with Pastor Robert Jeffress - and pimped his book. Meanwhile, Catholic O'Reilly doesn't seem to care about Jeffress' anti-Catholic views. Go figure!
Read moreKirsten Powers To O’Reilly: You Need To Admit You’re Wrong
Unfortunately for Bill O’Reilly, Kirsten Powers didn’t buy into his pretense last night that Alan Colmes had not provided any specific spending cuts President Obama has proposed. You may recall that was the basis for O’Reilly’s shocking outburst against Colmes the night before. Powers came armed with facts and figures that proved Colmes’ case and told O’Reilly, “You need to admit you’re wrong.”

Bill O’Reilly addressed tonight his shocking attack on Alan Colmes last night. “I’m sorry I said Alan was lying,” O’Reilly said. “I should not have used that word.” Then he proceeded to argue that the state of the country is so dire and that Americans are not paying enough attention so he just HAD to do something to get it.
