Megyn Kelly has been a busy Fox News right-wing rehabber lately. Just two days after she spent a segment giving credibility to disgraced Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro, she was back at it yesterday over Sean Hannity’s epic and viral confrontation with Rep. Keith Ellison the night before
Kelly – who never uttered a peep of concern over Shapiro's smear of Chuck Hagel – was now full of indignation that, according to her, Ellison had stated a falsehood. For extra “I’m on the Fox team” points, she mimicked Ellison. Oh, and by the way? Ellison is the latest in a growing line of people of color that Kelly apparently loves to hate.
Kelly also didn’t have a single objection to the slew of venom and vilification spewing from guest Monica Crowley about Ellison.
And one other thing... While much of the back and forth between Hannity and Ellison concerned Hannity's allegiance to the Republican Party - with Hannity insisting he's a registered Conservative (an actual party) and not a Republican - the National Republican Congressional Committee obviously sees him as one of their own. They posted the segment with the headline, ICYMI: Dem Congressman Goes Nuts On Hannity. Even though the incident had nothing to do with them. The commentary was:
In case you missed it last night, Democrat Congressman Keith Ellison completely lost it last night on Hannity. There’s just no reasoning with these guys.
I'm sure by "these guys," the NRCC meant Democrats, not Hannity as well as Ellison.
Did you hear Megyn Kelly complain about that tone? If she did, I must have missed it.
Megyn Kelly Panel Clashes Over The Reasons For Rep. Ellison's 'Obnoxious' Fight With Sean Hannity
Today's America Live political panel took on the explosive Sean Hannity/Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) debate from last night. Conservative radio host Monica Crowley and host Megyn Kelly blasted the congressman's behavior, while liberal analyst Tara Dowdell explained that his "rant" came out of "frustration" with GOP treatment of the president.
The more I see of Kelly tactics and her over-dramatic persona, the more it looks like she’s auditioning for one of the prime time slots. “Alright, Mr. Ailes, I’m ready for my close-up!” Since your contract is up first, Greta, you’d better be watching your back. LOL!
I gotta agree with Snaquille – the comedy (unintentional though it may be) of Megan Kelly IS astonishing. At least Jon Stewart has seemed to pick up on it too.
I wonder if she could be bothered to bring up that during Hannity’s own pity party, he couldn’t be bothered to book a guest who could answer a question other than “Is Sean Hannity a victim?”
No, of course not.
