Gen. David Petraeus Scandal Hannity’s Latest Excuse To Talk Impeachment
There he goes again. Sean Hannity hasn’t finished salivating over using Benghazi-Gate as a cause for impeaching President Obama and now he’s lusting (pardon the pun) over using the Petraeus sex scandal as another excuse.

When it comes to misogyny and right wing talking points, Bill O'Reilly and "comedian" Adam Carolla were joined at the hip and separated at birth. Their loathing of women who speak truth to power was reflected in their denigration of Sandra Fluke who dared to speak out against a patriarchal system that just doesn't understand why women can't accept their role as silent brood mares. Last night, during the "Rolling with Carolla" segment, the misogynistic towel snapping was directed towards MA Senator-elect Elizabeth Warren whose reality based comment about a "rigged" system has incurred Carolla's wrath. While O'Reilly was gentler in his treatment of Warren, it was clear that he was mocking her heritage in the same way that her opponent, Senator Scott Brown did. Unlike Carolla and O'Reilly, Massachusetts voters aren't threatened by strong women. She's a winner. They're so not.

It figures that Fox News would pick up on the secessionist movement among people who are very, very upset at Obama’s second victory. According to a Daily Caller article, re-posted on the Fox Nation, the White House has received secession petitions from every state in the union. Texas seems to be at the forefront; this somewhat grammatically challenged petition had nearly 100,000 signatures last time I looked. Last night, Daniel Miller, President of the Texas Nationalist Movement, was Hannity’s guest to explain why (H/T Mediaite - sorry, can't find the video on Fox yet).

Bill O'Reilly Fires First Shot In 2012's War On Christmas
It's not even Thanksgiving; but, for Bill O'Reilly, it's never too early to start whining about how evil, godless atheists are ruining Christmas for godly Christians. Last night, during his "Culture Warrior" segment, Bill fired off the first shot in his annual bitch fest otherwise known as the "War on Christmas." While it was done with a touch of humor, the underlying message was still the same; i.e. how evil, godless atheists are ruining Christmas for the godly Bill O'Reilly.

FoxNews.com adapted an Associated Press timeline of events in the sex scandal surrounding General David Petraeus. But it just so happened to delete an important line from late summer 2012: "By this time, the FBI has long since concluded there was no national security breach, but continues investigating whether Petraeus had any role in the harassing emails sent to Kelley."
Read moreO’Reilly: The Left Is Bent On Destroying America
Bill O’Reilly’s election sour grapes are getting even more sour, if last night’s Talking Points segment was any guide. He dropped most of the racial connotations and shot his arsenal at the “secular progressives” who, according to him, are “bent on destroying America.” And if only Mitt Romney had done a better job of appealing to the social conservatism of Latinos, we wouldn’t have President Obama, the poster child for the SP movement which, as O’Reilly described it, means more welfare, welfare queens, addiction and abortion.

Rick Folbaum, guest hosting Happening Now yesterday, made a deliberate effort to suggest the election results last week were illegitimate. First, he hyped Allen West’s doomed efforts to contest the election he clearly lost and then Folbaum fear mongered about a high turnout in Philadelphia. But despite the lack of any hard facts, Folbaum had his two guests debate his inflammatory supposition that the media is “ignoring” the story.

Immediately after the election, some Republicans talked about how, if the GOP is to remain viable, it should be reaching out to minorities who represent a growing American demographic. Meanwhile, on Fox, there was talk about how the Obama victory was based on the votes of those lazy slobs who want "entitlements" which is right wing code talk for "welfare," - a blaring, racist dog whistle. Leading the pack was Bill O'Reilly who, on election night, said that "there are 50% of the voting public who want stuff. They want things. And who is going to give them things? President Obama." Following up on Bill O'Reilly was another privileged white dude who, like Bill, is upset about the demise of the white, American patriarchy. On Fox & Friends, Judge Andrew Napolitano provided validation for O'Reilly in what seemed to be a new Fox meme that underscores the hateful class warfare fostered by Fox News - not the way to win minorities!

Recently, former Miss America and Christian warrior queen Gretchen Carlson did an interview on a radio program for "moms." In addition to talking about her role as a mom, Gretch also discussed the importance of her Christian faith which, she admitted, she frequently mentions on Fox News. But it gets better. Gretch informed her audience that she got her role on Bill O'Reilly's show because she was "incensed" over Nativity scene controversies that forced her drive her children by holiday displays where Baby Jesus has only a small place among other holiday imagery including the atheist tree and the Festivus pole. And that brought her to the attention of Bill O'Reilly who brought her on his show where they talked ad-nauseum "extensively" about this. The rest is history. Who knew!
