Cal Thomas Calls Obama Voters ‘Freeloaders’ And ‘Moochers’

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on November 12, 2012 · Flag

Count Cal Thomas as the latest member of the Fox News Sore Losers Club. On Saturday night’s Fox News Watch (11/9/12), Thomas continued the Fox News attacks on Obama voters as some kind of welfare queens. Then, after Kirsten Powers shot him down, he switched gears and said that people are struggling because they can’t find work that pays enough.

Thomas: You look at what’s happening out there. You have an entire two generations now who believe that the government owes them something… We now denigrate what we used to promote in this country… Rich people are evil and they owe other people who sleep to noon. You’ve seen the YouTube of the Obamaphone woman. How you gonna get a free phone? Well, you gotta vote for Obama. You gotta be on food stamps, you gotta be on disability…

The “Obama phone” accusation, which has become a euphemism for “welfare” on Fox is not even true. Our Priscilla nicely debunked this myth last month.

Fortunately, Kirsten Powers interrupted Thomas’ objectionable (and racially-tinged) rant to say, “This is why Republicans will never be in office again… This idea that people who vote for Obama are a bunch of these freeloaders and moochers (Thomas interrupted to say, “It’s true.”) …These are working people… These are people who are often working more than one job. It’s these kinds of comments that alienate…”

Now Thomas changed his tune a bit. He said, “Truth alienates. Truth alienates. Why are they working more than one job? It’s because of the economy. It’s because they’ve been abandoned by a husband or a father or whatever. It’s because they can’t get a job that pays enough.”

Oh, really? I thought they were a bunch of freeloaders and moochers! If a freeloader or moocher couldn't get a job that paid enough, wouldn't he or she just sit back, sleep until noon and collect a handout?

What Obama voters really are? They're the American electorate. And people like Cal Thomas and a bunch of other Fox right wingers just can’t accept the will of the country they insist they love so much.

The right wing media keeps doubling down on the worst memes from their fantasy based view of life. This will continue as long as it makes them money-and that means forever. The question is will the Republican Party rebel from this losing message? I see a coming battle for the party coming.

This is the best I’ve seen yet on wealthy entitlements.

- I’ve really never seen a situation where the losing party actually turned on the electorate before. -

Now that Mitt I-Don’t-Care-About-The- 47%ers rMoney has exposed it as an OK policy the other Haters just follow in making it Public.

This is so much fun, isn’t it? I’m loving the meltdown from the right.

This is just the latest bit of right wing flailing at the electorate for not voting for their candidates. I’ve really never seen a situation where the losing party actually turned on the electorate before. I have to wonder how they think they’re going to get anyone outside the hardcore base to vote for them.

You can see why the Haters For Life are so pro-war, killing is their solution to make an unbeatable lead in whatever venue they believe they are entitled to dominate.
