Where’s Bill O’Reilly’s Apology For Being An Idiot Over Health Care Reform?
On March 26th, Bill O’Reilly promised on national television that if the individual mandate was ruled Constitutional, he would not only apologize for his zeal in attacking it, but also admit to being an idiot. Well, as Ellen wrote in a post about that segment, O’Reilly’s promise was duly noted and she made her own promise to hold him to it. Yet in a lengthy discussion about the ruling on The O’Reilly Factor tonight, Bill made no apology, much less admitted to being an idiot.

Fox News Chris Stirewalt, politics editor for digital Fox News, is presumably part of Fox' "objective" team. But when he appeared on America Live, at about 2:00 PM today (as part of Fox's "objective news" lineup), he nearly twisted himself into a pretzel as he argued – with a straight face – that the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of President Obama’s health care reform was really a big plus for Mitt Romney. "I’m sure, from a cynical political perspective, they’d much rather would have had this issue go away and the Supreme Court take it down so the president could go rally the troops. Instead, it’s Romney’s troops who are rallied,” Stirewalt said. The spin was so furious, I don’t know how he and host Megyn Kelly didn’t fall over from dizziness. I know I nearly did.

Earlier today, when the Supreme Court ruled that President Obama’s health care reform is Constitutional, the DNC’s Executive Director, African American Patrick Gaspard, tweeted, “It’s Constitutional, Bitches.” He later walked it back a bit by saying he let his “scotus excitement get the better” of him. But that didn’t stop the Fox Nation readers from erupting with racist comments. One even wished that someone “Zimmerman the bastard.” (H/T J.L.)
Read moreRemember When Fox News Declared Health Care Law Unconstitutional?
You could barely hear the name "Barack Obama" on Fox News of late without hearing also about how health care reform was "crammed down" the throats of Americans in some kind of unconstitutional power grab. Do you think any Fox pundit will admit he or she was wrong now that the Supreme Court has upheld it?
Read moreFox Nation Bogus Claim: "Romney Camp Destroys Washington Post For Bogus Article"
It's really funny. Fox Nation, the Fox News site devoted "fair and balanced coverage of the news" posts a headline that is nothing more than right wing partisan wishful thinking: "Romney Camp Destroys Washington Post For Bogus Article." What makes it even funnier, and rather ironic, is that Fox Nation's stories include lies about unemployment statistics, Sandra Fluke's congressional commentary (including the transcripts of Rush Limbaugh's three day "slut" shaming), Bill Clinton's "taking a swipe at Obama" and a host of other things that are less than honest. And the above cited thread is just another bogus assertion by a Fox website that elevates "bogus" to a whole new level!
Read moreFox News Obama Care Class Warfare: There’s Not Enough Doctors For Everyone To Have Health Insurance
Megyn Kelly hosted a panel of doctors to discuss the Affordable Care Act (aka Obama Care) yesterday – and I’m sure you’ll be shocked to know that all three of them opposed it. But what really was shocking was their reasoning that it would create too many patients which would negatively impact those who already have coverage. Rather than consider ways to increase health care providers, they all seemed to think the solution was to make sure there weren’t too many health care consumers. In other words, people should go without treatment so that those who already have coverage are not inconvenienced. Even worse, the doctors complained that too many people would “overuse” medical services.

After Advancing Racial Attacks On Eric Holder, Megyn Kelly Plays The Race Card On Civil Rights Leaders Standing Up For Him
Megyn Kelly had a lot of nerve "wondering" why civil rights leaders and Rev. Al Sharpton think that racism is involved in Republican attacks on Attorney General Eric Holder. After all, it was Kelly who spent weeks in 2010 helping a Republican activist deliberately gin up racial animosity against Holder - by depicting him as the enabler of scary black men coming to a voting booth near you. Now, she was deliberately ginning up racial animosity against those who might have taken notice.
