Besides the obvious – President Obama's re-election – 2012 was a year full of failed Fox News memes. We list the ones we thought the top eight. Feel free to add your own in our comments section.
Obamacare will be overturned by Supreme Court - Foxies seemed so certain Obamacare was going to be thrown out, you could almost be forgiven for thinking there was no need to wait for a decision. Except that when the decision did come down, it mostly upheld the law - and even then Fox had trouble accepting it.
Arizona's immigration law. Fox News campaigned on behalf of this law - which was mostly overturned by the Supreme Court. But Fox didn't let a little thing like a Supreme Court decision stand in the way of pretending it was a loss for President Obama.
Karl Rove interrupting and denouncing Fox's calling the election for Obama. Karl Rove's futile exercise in preventing his network from calling the race for President Obama pretty much defined Fox's election-night coverage and was probably the cause of Rove getting benched thereafter.
Polls showing Obama winning were not trustworthy. This was one of my personal favorites. Even when Fox New, itself, did a poll showing President Obama as the winner, Fox's talking heads dismissed it.
Benghazi is as bad as or worse than Watergate. A CNN poll shows the public doesn't see it that way.
Hurricane Sandy was Obama's Katrina. Unfortunately, Chris Christie blew that one for them.
The "war on women" will backfire on Democrats. In fact, the gender gap helped Obama win re-election.
And the top fail: Romney wins in a landslide.

The Chevy Volt is a good one! Fox is still smearing that vehicle!
I meant to include the $5/gallon gas prediction but couldn’t find a link in time.
Coming down the pipe:
1. The Republican Party will lose members, and support from conservatives.
2. Hannocchio’s defense of the GOP, and Paul Ryan will cause him to lose his audience.
3. Fox “News” will be caught between a rock and a hard place.
We guarantee to all the masses, 2013 will be a bad year for the GOP and Fox “News.”
Last May on Fox & Friends, the program’s hosts introduced a video that purported to examine “Four Years of Hope and Change.” What it was in reality was a four-plus minute campaign video that presented a variety of soundbites by President Obama accompanied by ominous graphics and eerie music that falsely implied his campaign promises were unkept. The video could not have been a more pro-Romney, anti-Obama attack had it been produced by the Republican National Committee. Apparently Fox News also recognized the gross inappropriateness of its anti-Obama attack ad. Minutes after the video was posted online it was removed. Later, an edited version was re-posted, and then that too was removed. Eventually, Fox EVP Bill Shine issued a statement scapegoating an “associate producer”
All of the aforementioned failed Fux Noise memes deserve our ridicule. My particular favorite is the landslide election of MagicUnderwear Mitt. Toe-sucking Dick Morris looked especially ridiculous, even for someone who paid $600-an-hour to lick hooker toe jam.
This is a great post of high historical value that I shall treasure forever.
To start off this year’s collection, methinks a candidate will be how the foxies will predict the 2016 elections given that:
In order for the filthy wealthy representing 1% of all Americans to continue to get even filthier wealthier*, the republicans in 2012 seemed to feel that it was OK to allow tax cuts affecting 99% of Americans to expire and – icing on the cake – to expose vulnerable Americans to mindless slashing of crucial services.
In my book, that’s like shooting yourself in the foot but I rely on Fox News to tell me otherwise.
.
And it will only get worse- O’Reilly has lost 34% of his remaining audience since November 5th, and what lead he has left is narrowing. When he’s lost, They’ll be screaming in caps so big, it comes with an audio file.
