Gabriel Sherman reports in New York Magazine tonight that Fox News has sidelined Karl Rove and Dick Morris in the wake of their faulty strategy and predictions (respectively) in the 2012 presidential election.
Sherman reports:
According to multiple Fox sources, Ailes has issued a new directive to his staff: He wants the faces associated with the election off the air — for now. For Karl Rove and Dick Morris — a pair of pundits perhaps most closely aligned with Fox’s anti-Obama campaign — Ailes’s orders mean new rules. Ailes’s deputy, Fox News programming chief Bill Shine, has sent out orders mandating that producers must get permission before booking Rove or Morris.
Sherman also reports that multiple sources have told him "Ailes was angry at Rove’s election-night tantrum when he disputed the network’s call for Obama." A spokesman for Ailes denied it but given how Rove suddenly backed down from his contention, I find it quite believable.
According to the rumour mill, this has mutated into a joke that if Dick Morris was a broken clock, he’d find a way to not even be right his two times a day.
Ailes is not even close to amused. He sees Morris’ rep as a threat to ratings. Note that no one has the slightest problem believing he doesn’t care about anything else someone like Morris affects.
(Note to Jabba: While you are cleaning the Fux Noise cesspool, scoop out and discard the Whore of Babble-On).
But I wonder: why wait ‘til now to jettison the Toe Sucker? It’s not as though he hasn’t been completely wrong on his past predictions . . .
.
Billy’s show is number one, which won’t last long because Hannocchio has goals to be the new number one Fox “News” show. But Billy already knows it.
Krooked Karl’s next novel is a gritty tale of revenge by the head of a news network located in downtown Mid-Manhattan. Karl has all the juicy tales about certain clowns at Fox “News” Channel.
Karl, Dick, and Grover are not the only ones getting the Ailes/Republican boot. More names will be added to the list.
The Republican Party is cleaning house. But we know that historically, Republicans have a long history of eating their own. We expect Karl, Dick and Grover to eat the Republican Party and Fox “News” for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
NOTE TO ROVE AND MORRIS
Ailes’ video message to you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UG9I752Mmdk
You won’t have a reputation when Ailes gets through with you.
“Don’t cry for us, FoxNews viewers,
The truth is we never left you
Though our predictions
Were clearly insane
We followed our scripts
And now we suffer…..”
Doesn’t this part sound like something a “campaign manager” would say when there “team” is loosing control of the narrative and there campaign messaging?
Also, Morris recently admitted that he was just a “shill” for the Republican candidate during his on-air appearances.
So Ailes wants to see less of Dick Morris because Morris is such a bad prognosticator that he couldn’t successfully predict “daylight,” but he’s still OK with the occasional “Factor” appearances by a certifiable nut-job named Glenn Beck?
Those are some standards you live by Mr. Ailes.

The above mentioned minions will henceforth be relocated to a new abode. I am working with my surgeons in order to implement the new premises. As of December 15, 2012 both Rove & Morris will be lodged in fat folds somewhere below my right man-boob. This way I’ll keep track of what they’re up to.
