And now, it’s been reported that Robert “I’m NOT the Swedish Chef” Bork has died. Now, what do you think the reaction from the right-wing nuts would be if a liberal/progressive site posted a largely respectful obituary and some of the comments featured language such as the FokkksNation readers used? Do you think the FoxNoise kkkrew would react with “there’s always a few bad apples” or “well, what do you expect from hate-filled liberals?”

Joseph West commented on Geraldo Rivera Says 'Faith Based' People Can't Commit Mass Murder? 2012-12-17 01:03:15 -0500 · Flag
What should be more than obvious is that “faith” has no bearing on a person’s actions. Two world leaders in recent decades were assassinated by self-professed persons of faith: You had Indira Gandhi of India who was murdered by a Sikh (over what he saw as Gandhi’s “desecration” of the temple at Amritsar) and Yitzhak Rabin of Israel who was murdered by a Jew (over his belief that Rabin had betrayed both Israel and the Jewish people).

Now, granted these weren’t cases of “mass murder” but if a person’s capable of killing one person, he’s more than capable of killing multiple people in a single incident.

@visitor: I was really suggesting “state legislature/capitol building” or “Congress” when I wrote “workplace.”

I guarantee you that if you or I went to the halls of Congress (or even a state legislature) with a concealed weapon and tried to enter the building with it, we’d find ourselves in the custody of the Capitol Police (or equivalent state security) to find out if we posed a “significant danger to the members” of the legislative body in question. And I’ll bet you even in states that permit “concealed carry,” you wouldn’t be able to walk into those legislatures with that weapon on your person.

Joseph West commented on Brian Kilmeade Says Adam Lanza Needed God! 2012-12-16 02:16:48 -0500 · Flag
What Mr Kilmeade should think about is how does he know whether Lanza “needed God” or not? Has Kilmeade been made privy to the inner workings of Adam Lanza’s mind and soul?

And the nameless being seems to not remember that many “God-fearing” people have been more than willing to kill, maim and torture people all in the name of that God of theirs. During the Crusades, the city of Constantinople (which, at the time, was the seat of Eastern Christianity through the Byzantine Empire) was sacked (which means property was stolen and people were killed) by other Christians (Roman Catholics to be specific since this was a couple of centuries before the Reformation). Then, of course, there were the millions of Native Americans who were slaughtered (or simply killed from introduced diseases) by both Catholics and Protestants. And there were the European Christians who felt so strongly about “saving the African savage” that they were willing to kidnap them from their African homes, chain and pack them into ships and transport them thousands of miles away where they could enjoy “working” for no wages for people who didn’t really care if they lived or died.

Minor correction, Priscilla. The Supreme Court has only ruled that ORGANIZED prayer, involving school faculty or administrators, is barred from public schools. Students retain the right to pray—even in the most evil of secular schools. They’re even allowed to organize groups of students—though such activity is supposed to be either before or after school in such a way as to not interfere with other students’ receiving an education.

truman has it eXACTly correct. Where were the FoxNoise kkkrew suggesting that Bush and the GOP act with restraint since their win was so close? Well, I don’t know because the kkkrew was too busy rah-rahing Dubya and the GOP’s extremist platforms at every turn. (IMS the prevailing thought* was more along the lines of “to the victor go the spoils” so anything Dubya wanted should be approved and accepted without question. And anyone who thought otherwise was a traitor.)

Well, when you look at the composition of the panel, it really is “fair and balanced.” You’ve got two doddering old GOPers (one already out, the other likely to follow suit by 2016), two Teabaggers, one Independent GOPer-in-all-but-name and one Democrat.

So, see. It IS “fair and balanced.” The doddering old fogeys are balanced by two young Teabaggers. (And you’ve got a real Democrat balanced by an old traitor to the Democratic Party—which, by FoxNoise standards, still counts as a Democrat.)

FoxNoise—where “fair and balanced” means what we want it to mean. And “We’ve always been at war with Eastasia” was merely a guideline.

I still say that unions in right-to-work states should simply refuse on principle from being FORCED to represent people who won’t pay dues.

And it’s just so interesting that, just a couple of months ago, the FoxNoise folks were decrying all the “takers” yet they fully support “right-to-work” laws in which people who DON’T belong to unions get ALL the same benefits as those who do.

There are so many “takers” in this country. People who complain about having to pay a few dollars per paycheck but want the unions to fight for “no layoff clauses” and “wage increases” (and then, of course, blame the unions when the companies screw over the workers).

@ B H: An ALLEGED “Union member.” There is, at this point, NO evidence that Crowder was punched by a member of any union. (And since Crowder’s PUBLICLY offered to fight the guy, it somewhat lessens any moral offense on the part of the person who punched him.)

And, regardless of any “agenda,” you’re also not supposed to lie when you don’t have actual evidence. Let’s not forget—it was NOT the Jews who blew up the Reichstag but Hitler was certainly able to convince an entire country of their “guilt” (without a single shred of factual evidence).

Joseph West commented on Laura Ingraham Worries More About Parental Rights Than Teen Pregnancy? 2012-12-11 16:38:06 -0500 · Flag
Roger, please come back after you’ve learned how to spell—and think.

For starters, let me teach you something about sex (even the PROmiscuous variety): Human females canNOT get themselves pregnant. Much like the tango, it takes two for a woman to get pregnant (and even then, the simple sexual act of vaginal intercourse—I trust you realize there are a LOT of different acts that qualify as “sex” but most do NOT lead to pregnancy—is not going to result in pregnancy every single time). And, obviously, you don’t understand the word “fornication.” There is a far simpler word—it even begins with the same letter—for it. And, believe it or not, THAT also requires TWO people to lead to pregnancy. But, again, it’s not a guaranteed way of getting pregnant.

You see, there are a lot of technical, biological reasons why women don’t get pregnant with every single act of vaginal intercourse (nothing as simple-minded as Akin’s absurd ideas—nothing about the female “workings” is simple). The primary reason involves the menstrual cycle. A woman is only fertile (that means, able to get pregnant) for a few days a month and the man’s sperm only has a maximum life span of a few days to match that fertile period (this isn’t about that period—that comes a bit after the fertile period) in order to get a woman pregnant; sperm are not the heartiest of critters in the first place and need a lot of TLC to last very long—depending on where the sperm is will determine its lifespan (in a condom, just a few minutes; in the vagina, just a couple of hours; in the uterus, it can be a couple of days). But the woman’s body can react to sperm the same way the human body as a whole reacts to a cold virus (not just evil rapist sperm but even sperm from someone she wants to have sex with), attacking with antibodies. (Oral sex is a different matter but sperm won’t survive that very long either—digestive enzymes and gastric juices treat sperm just like they do oysters. Anal sex is also different but typically the sperm gets, um, flushed like any other waste product.)

Now, as to abortion, let me just ask you this: If you went to the doctor with unexplained stomach cramps and he (or she—there are lady doctors who treat men) determined that you’ve got a tapeworm, would you respect THAT lifeform and let it live or would you basically scream, “Get it the hell out of me NOW!!!?” Well, an unwanted pregnancy is not that far removed from having an unwanted parasitic worm (except removing the worm is considered acceptable—even desirable—even in the “pro-life” community). Bear in mind that even according to the Bible, a woman’s pregnancy was only recognized as connected to life after what we would now call the baby kicking. (Also, the laws in Leviticus and Exodus don’t seem to be all that concerned with a pregnant woman’s losing the baby, even by deliberate methods. If a man’s pregnant wife is injured and loses the baby as a result, he can only be compensated for HER injury—unless, the baby is born as a result of the injury; so, pretty much, the baby’s death is only considered AFTER it’s been born.) The overwhelming majority of professional abortions take place long before the “baby kicks.” (God didn’t make any allowances in HIS laws about “except after thou hast created medical technology which wilt allow thee to see the unborn child while in the woman’s womb.” And not even God is quoted anywhere in the Bible as saying that “life beginneth when the man’s seed enters the woman’s body.” There is that little “I knew thee before thou wert born” but that’s NOT quite the same as “Thou wert a human being when thy father’s sperm met thy mother’s ovum.”) I would point out that any other “creator” can destroy his/her creation before it’s “born” (authors destroy manuscripts, painters destroy canvases, sculptors destroy statues, musicians destroy recordings) and even God destroyed most of His creation, so why shouldn’t the woman be able to “destroy” her “creation?” For what it’s worth, nature (or, if you’re religious, God) has destroyed many more “children” in utero than have been “killed” by 3rd-party abortion. Not all fertilized eggs are able to attach to the uterine wall in time so, bye-bye. A woman eats a bad piece of cheese so, bye-bye. A woman comes down with the flu and, well, bye-bye. A woman goes on a drinking binge before she’s even aware of a pregnancy and, well, bye-bye. A woman gets rear-ended in a car accident and, well bye-bye. But you only have a problem when a woman who doesn’t want to go through 9 months of physical changes decides to visit someone to rid her of the unwanted thing?

As for cannibalism, right-wingers would support it if they thought only the “wrong” kind of people would be eaten.

But, you completely missed the fact that this story is about how a teenaged girl should be able to get contraceptives and contraceptive information BEFORE she gets pregnant. And Laura Ingrate doesn’t seem to get the connection between “teenagers getting contraceptive information or contraceptives” and “teenage pregnancy.” If you want to blindly believe that teens aren’t going to have sex until they’re married, that’s fine. But just don’t be surprised when those teens turn out to be normal human beings, subject to the same wants and desires that “adult” humans are.

I simply hate “Gangnam Style.” It’s the “Macarena” for today’s audience except there’s a chubby Korean rapping*. (And you have to wonder what the Foxies would’ve thought about “Gangnam Style” if the rapper were African-American doing the same basic song, praising the same commercialism most rappers have been doing for the last 20 or so years, but without all the misogyny and X-rated lyrics. Oh, wait a minute. No, you don’t. All you have to do is listen to virtually any FoxNoise contributor’s comments about rap from the last 20 years.)

*And the “Macarena” didn’t really become a hit in the US until the Bayside Boys remixed the song, adding a female singer to add some silly English lyrics about cheating on her boyfriend.

Joseph West commented on Cavuto Helps Rick Snyder Pretend His Right To Work Legislation is ‘All About Being Pro Worker’ 2012-12-10 18:12:44 -0500 · Flag
Well Joshua, I tell you what. Let’s give those workers a choice. If they decide to NOT join a union, then they shouldn’t expect to be covered by the union BENEFITS either. Union negotiates a pay raise? Fine, only union workers should get it. Union negotiates a “no layoff” proposal? Fine, only union workers should be covered. Union negotiates to protect workers from an overbearing supervisor? Fine, only union workers are protected. You’re not a union member and the boss wants you to work through your lunch hour without pay? Well, sorry bub, but while union workers enjoy a satisfying lunch and get a chance to relax for an hour, you get to spend your hour doing whatever the boss tells you and the union won’t get in his way.

Seriously, dude, do you even think stuff through? The simple REALITY is that these “right-to-work” laws also just happen to make it a hell of a lot MORE difficult in starting a union or even being covered by a union. And yet, it’s folks like you who would expect hard-working union MEMBERS to pay for all those “leeches” who want the union to protect THEM the same way the union does its dues-paying members. That’s right. “Leeches.” It cuts both ways. The right-wing has no problem going after the “takers” when folks get stuff from the government but they’re all in favor of “takers” when it comes to non-union workers in a union workplace.

Yeah. I’m sure that all those lovely Christmas displays seen in all of New York’s big department stores were designed and put up by straight guys. And, just remember Bill that, when you’re sitting at home on Christmas Day watching the Disney Christmas Parade (by employees who are getting paid VERY handsomely for working this “family” holiday), a good number of those “happy” performers are gay men and lesbians, doing their best to make all the little hetero families—with all those little kids (many of whom will grow up attracted to members of their own gender)—enjoy the “magic” of the season.

And, I’ll bet you that many of those “gay married” couples will have bigger and brighter and more festive decorations at their homes and will host better parties and will lavish their friends and family with far better gifts (not necessarily more expensive, just better) than anything you’ll do. And not even the Holiday/Christmas Grinchiest gay man or lesbian will ever match you in terms of sheer misanthropy.

Once again, the FoxNoise fools are missing the oh-so-obvious point: They’re free to stage these displays on THEIR OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY. It’s when they start pushing for displays on PUBLIC property—property paid for, and maintained by, everyone’s tax dollars (not just the “Christian tax dollars”)—that they show themselves little better than the people they so frequently denigrate in their little dog-and-pony shows.

Is there any evidence of these invitations BEFORE O’Really told this to Leno?

I mean, I can’t believe that O’Really didn’t spend days on end bashing Obama for not appearing on his show—especially for Obama’s brazen attempt to keep O’Really from asking all the “tough questions.” I can understand O’Really’s blah-blah about Romney (retconning—emphasis on the “conning”—is part and parcel of O’Really’s livelihood, and I doubt anyone from the Romney camp is going to bother coming forward at this late date and saying O’Really lied and never contacted anyone at TeamRomney about Romney’s coming on the show) but, missing another chance to bash Obama for an hour a day for days on end simply doesn’t sound like the O’Really we’ve all come to know and loathe.

And you’ve just got to wonder about O’Really’s “fans” after hearing this. What must they think? That O’Really just took a “no” from TeamObama without whining bragging about it for days and days—especially when O’Really had the chance to harangue challenge Obama about Benghazi—just seems unimaginable and must be disappointing. (Of course, O’Really would simply explain this away as……Okay, I’m not really sure where I was going with this. I started to write “a moment of simple human weakness” but, then I remembered, O’Really has never shown such a failing to his fans/followers/sickophants* in the past so why would he do so when there was such an important election—an election for the country’s very soul, if you’d believe FoxNoise—at stake? In reality, O’Really would probably just push something else to the top of his hate-filled agenda and pretend nothing else had ever been as important as whatever BS he was ranting about that night.)

*Yes, the misspelling was deliberate.
