Fox Nation Reader Offers Money To Kill Freddie Gray Prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby

A member of Fox News’ Fox Nation has posted three offers of money to kill Marilyn Mosby, the Maryland state attorney who is prosecuting Baltimore police officers over the death of Freddie Gray. Although the posts are three and four hours old, as I write this, nobody has removed them.

The comments were posted on a thread called: “Black Chicago Pastor Lays Down Gauntlet, Issues Open Invitation to GOP Presidential Candidates: Dems Have ‘Failed Us ... Taken Complete Advantage of Us.’” It appears to have nothing to do with Mosby, Baltimore or Freddie Gray. But, apparently, just thinking about African Americans brings out the racist bloodlust in a reader known as Joseywhales.

Mosby, is regularly demonized on Fox News.

The above were not the only offensive or even threatening comments posted to Fox's thread:

Note that the “murder for hire” comments were made three and four hours before I found them. Despite Fox Nation’s long history of murder talk, the site still seems to show lax oversight of its comments.

Fox Nation is edited by O’Reilly Factor producer Jesse Watters. Watters has pointed fingers at African Americans about race and crime but he has yet to clean up his own backyard.

By the way, Fox Nation's Statement of Purpose claims the site is "committed to the core principles" of "tolerance" and "civil discourse."

These comments have been reported to the authorities.

I would bet money that that proper alphabet agencies already know who these crazy posters are.

From mj’s comment:

“I’m sure Bill O’Reilly will very shortly strongly condemn this hate speech; as much as he regularly castigates left-leaning blogs for espousing hate speech, I’m certain he won’t let this transgression in his own cyber-backyard go unmentioned.

Yep, any time now . . ."

[cue the chirping crickets]

’Nuff said.

@ Steve St John Actually Steve, Fox watchers remind me of school on Memorial Day — NO CLASS!

[with apologies to Bill Cosby]

Well . . . to Joseywhales and his fellow rightwingnuts, black lives DO matter — but only up to ten grand, it seems.

I’m sure Bill O’Reilly will very shortly strongly condemn this hate speech; as much as he regularly castigates left-leaning blogs for espousing hate speech, I’m certain he won’t let this transgression in his own cyber-backyard go unmentioned.

Yep, any time now . . .

Let me guess, Brian. You’d have absolutely NO problem if a comment advocating violence against some prominent GOP prosecutor or politician appeared on a liberal/progressive website—by a “troll”—and said comment wasn’t reported and taken down immediately?

Yeah.

And I expect my rainbow sparkly unicorn will be arriving any minute now.

Ellen is right on. The problem here is not so much what trolls are saying — it is that Fox allows it and doesn’t step in to stop it.
Ellen commented 2015-06-05 19:58:27 -0400 · Flag
Brian Cronauer, yes, any troll could have gone on the site and posted those comments. But talking about murder goes beyond trolling. It’s also quite disturbing that Fox let the comments sit there.

And while you may find this laughable, believe me, the authorities do not.

You seriously make a story out of TROLLS on a forum board? This website is PATHETIC. Any liberal or conservative could go on there with a fake name and post this bullshit. It’s laughable.

And the commenters here are just as stupid for eating this garbage up.

Just another day in the cesspool of hate, AKA The Fux Nation. Bildo’s favorite butt boy Jesse Watters knows how easy it is to stir up the racist turds into a frenzy of death threats.

it’s amazing how foxnation commentators can play with their toys and type at the same time.

Good ol’ FOX Nation, encouraging racism, murder, bigotry, misogyny, and don’t forget homophobia on a daily basis, yippee!

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again – FOX will be the downfall of America. It is a cancer upon civilized society.
