Here's the Fox News extremist-mainstreaming machine in action: contributor Allen West, an heir to the Glenn Beck/Joseph McCarthy mantle of hate mongering, validates a suggestion that impeaching President Obama should be considered and/or that he should resign - and Fox Nation trumpets it with the headline, Allen West: Impeaching Obama Should Be On The Table. As if West is some kind of opinion leader and/or anyone at Fox News would have paid West any attention had he said something like, "Republicans need to stop talking impeachment." Fox Nation readers get the hint, of course. In this case, the hatred ratcheted up to the point of two readers arguing about methods of executing President Obama, Vice President Biden, Attorney General Holder and Nancy Pelosi.
Fox Nation based its post on a brief YouTube video of West's comments. In it, West was really speaking supportively of someone else's impeachment talk and making his own suggestion that President Obama should resign. But Fox went to the trouble of hyping the most inflammatory and anti-Obama aspect by writing up West's comments as follows:
Allen West said he “absolutely” agrees that all options, including impeachment should be up for consideration for President Barack Obama.
“We did something that is the most heinous thing that can ever happen, we abandoned Americans while they were under attack, you know that’s right up there to ask someone, maybe you should not be the president. Guess what, Richard Nixon stepped down over breaking and entering,” West said.
But while Fox deliberately turned up the flame on President Obama, it did nothing to make sure that its comments remained true to Fox Nation's supposed mission of creating a place of "tolerance" and "civility." While many of the reader comments were dismissive of West as a "nobody," plenty also saluted him. The comments below were posted 17 hours and 9 hours ago, respectively. That's plenty of time for moderators to review and remove them if they had cared.
Memo to Fox: they have been reported to authorities.
And, quite frankly, that’s one are where we all agree here, Paul. Trash who make comments like the ones we report don’t deserve that courtesy. And it’s not like we get it when someone like Janie Penny decides we said something wrong….
mj is exactly right. O’Falafel has in the past blamed liberal plants for questionable material found in comment sections on right-wing sites. Has even said they are paid by George Soros to do it to make conservatives look bad. That man has an answer for everything.
Bet anyone a buck that if someone dared bring up things that are said on Faux Nation, O’Falafel would just edit it out of his show. He doesn’t do it live for a reason……and that is the edit button.
Glad I’m an old-fart and won’t live long enough to see the full extent of the damage these asses are continuing to inflict on our nation and our world… I can only hope that my grandchildren will be able to transcend the fundie indoctrination being poured into their little ears and make a difference. (ex-wife’s huge family has them surrounded, though, so I’m not so sure… the step-grandchildren have it better)

Is this the sort of conversation O’Reilly was talking about when he applauded Watters for having a “great” website?
And just think — it was only four days ago that the denizens of FoKKKsNotion were asking, “Why Are Liberals So Rude?”

If I were to present a case for Fox Nation being a hate group, their acceptance of users like him/her/it would be one of the points I go into detail on. One simply does not allow comments like this to go on for months/years on end.
