Fox News' ObamaCare Smears Almost Cost This Man's Life
Fortunately for Dean Angstadt, he had a friend who refused to let him take everything Fox News says about the Affordable Care Act as truth. Otherwise, this newly-insured heart patient would likely be dead.
Read moreDoes Fox News Know That Shirley Dobson Sees National Day Of Prayer As Answer To 'Evil' Same Sex Marriage?
Fox News, in attacking the Military Freedom From Religion Foundation, provided a warm and affirming platform for the National Day of Prayer. Megyn Kelly interviewed former Focus on the Family head, Dr. James Dobson, and his wife Shirley Dobson, both of whom are closely connected to the National Day of Prayer Task Force which organizes a prayer event in the federal Cannon House Building. Peter Johnson Jr. spoke with the vice-chair of the National Day of Prayer Task Force. Both interviews were critical of Weinstein and his group which is not, as both I and Chris Rodda point out, an "atheist group." But in supporting the National Day of Prayer, is Fox also supporting Shirley Dobson's belief that only by glorifying Jesus' dad can we rid this nation of the scourge of same sex marriage and other evil liberal stuff?

Read moreElisabeth Hasselbeck's 'PC Police' Meme Validated By Editor Of College Newspaper With History Of Racial Insensitivity
While Fox News warmly embraces conservatives who feel besieged by the forces of godless secular forces, it dismisses those who are offended by conservatives as "politically correct" liberals who make life miserable for good conservatives. Yesterday, Elisabeth Hasselbeck invoked "PC" in her smear of a Dartmouth student who objected to a "Phiesta" themed fraternity party. Her guest from the Dartmouth Review, Nicholas Desatnick, validated the message about pesky minorities getting uppity. But while Hasselbeck was showcasing him as a voice for Dartmouth students, what she didn't mention is that his paper is not the official college news outlet but an independent entity formed in 1980 by "four discontented campus conservatives." And when it comes to racial issue, this newspaper has some junk in the trunk. But then this is Fox & Friends...
Read moreMegyn Kelly’s Suspicious Concern For Donald Sterling’s Privacy Rights
Is Megyn Kelly vying to be Donald Sterling’s white Santa? She certainly seems determined to give the guy a break. First, a Kelly File producer showed up at the NBA press conference and suggested Sterling’s punishment over remarks made in private was a “slippery slope.” Then Kelly spent a segment on The Kelly File explicitly suggesting Sterling was getting a raw deal. But it’s funny: when ACORN workers were illegally recorded – and made part of deceptive videos that took down ACORN – Kelly was all hunky-dory about it.

Fox News contributor Erick Erickson reacted to the botched execution in Oklahoma tonight - by calling for firing squads or hangings as capital punishment. To save us from the "hand wringing" of being humane.

Sean Hannity did not follow his Fox News colleagues down the “Donald Sterling proves that racism is dead lane” last night. However, he did follow the Fox line of using the occasion to attack Rev. Al Sharpton and suggest Sterling is affiliated with Democrats. Hannity put his personal racial spin on the story by using the occasion to go after the NAACP. Oh, and then complain about guest Bob Beckel politicizing the issue when he pointed out that Sterling’s donations to Democrats were because that’s the dominant party in Los Angeles.

Today, as the rest of the country digested the news that the NBA banned LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life, fined him $2.5 million and would work to force him to sell the team, Fox News spent a few minutes discussing it before moving on to a “Fox News Alert” with inconsequential news about Benghazi.
Read moreAndrea Tantaros' Not Very Good, Very Bad Anti-Islam Campus Hate Speech
During the Fox abetted outrage over Brandeis U's revocation of an honorary degree for Islam critic Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Fox's "The Five" weighed in with their usual bucket of anti-Islamic bile. Andrea Tantaros whined about the evils of radical Islam and how "far left" feminists are not standing up for Ms. Ali's freedom of speech. She cited Brandeis' belief that Ali's views do fit their core values and, in engaging in her standard Islamophobia, asked if Brandeis' core values include persecuting homosexuality "because that's what Islam does." (Actually, Islam's teaching on homosexuality is no different from evangelical Christianity and Catholicism) But Tantaros said something else which was intriguing. In suggesting that she and Ali have something in common, she said that she has spoken about "radical Islam" at colleges where she will never be invited back. And that, according to what I discovered, was with good reason

As the defender of the Christian (conservative that is, none of that gay accepting liberal Protestant apostasy) faith, Fox News has no qualms about attacking those who dare to push back against those who don't believe in the separation of church and state. Meanwhile, the revere any group that supports the First Amendment rights of Christians. In smearing "atheist" groups who oppose what they believe are unconstitutional Christian incursions into the public square, Fox is able to promote their popular godless atheists are destroying this "Christian nation" meme. Along with the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and its head, Mikey Weinstein are targets of Fox's righteous Christian wrath. Last Friday, Megyn Kelly did a hit piece on Weinstein over his group's objection to uniformed military at National Day of Prayer ceremonies. Saturday, Fox & Friends picked up the ball and ran with it.
