Megyn Kelly Endorses Xenophobic Filmmaker's Anti-Immigrant, Anti-Obama Hysteria

Posted by Priscilla -26.60pc on June 11, 2014 · Flag

The surge in undocumented children from Central America, who have been apprehended after crossing our southern border, is a humanitarian crisis. But not so for the rabidly anti-immigrant, right wing xenophobes who are politicizing the issue in order to blame Pres. Obama for the "invasion" of these scary brown people. The surge of children at our border is problematic and as such, it deserves to be discussed by those who have an understanding of immigration issues such as attorneys, those who work with the immigrant community, and those who are familiar with the political dynamics of the children's countries of origin. But not so for Megyn Kelly who, on Monday night, discussed the situation with Obama hating Judge Napolitano and Fox's favorite racist xenophobe and crackpot "filmmaker" Dennis Michael Lynch who was able to have Kelly's blessing for more of his anti-immigrant, anti-Obama crazy talk.

Kelly introduced her guests, Napolitano and Lynch. Kelly does seem to have a soft spot for Lynch who, when last on The Kelly File, discussed, with an approving Kelly, those who were standing up for "freedom" at the Bundy ranch. Kelly informed us that he will soon be heading for the border for material for another one of his classic pieces of paranoia which Jon Stewart has so adroitly eviscerated.

Despite the reality that the networks are covering the children, an almost hysterical Kelly claimed that this has been "undercovered" by the lamestream media. (Meanwhile, Fox has undercovered same sex marriage victories). Punching her finger in the air, she shouted that our government projects that the numbers could end being as high as 150,000 children who will be crossing "illegally" (Fox does love that word!) and "we can't handle them." Breathlessly, she asked "why." While she spoke, the chyron referenced an unsourced report which stated that the "rush at the border" is "due to confusion over the Dream Act."

Judge Napolitano said that the President "caused" this when he listed things that "illegal immigrants" could do to "avoid deportation." (WTF?) Napolitano continued to bray about how the President has sent a "signal" to encourage border crossings and in so doing, is "not doing his duty." Of course, nobody mentioned that Obama has deported more people than Bush. Kelly explained the Dream Act that the Dream Act applies only to those undocumented children who are here and shouted "apparently these children didn't read the law" and that the administration "wants to blame them for not understanding that policy." (WTF?)

Kelly dramatically intoned that Lynch has "been sounding the alarm" because he has known, for a long time, that the border patrol was "overwhelmed." She claimed that after the border patrol "leaked" photos of the children (to Breitbart), the administration tried to "shut-up" the border patrol by prohibiting them from taking photos. (Screw confidentiality?) She tossed to Lynch who was off and running to crazy town.

He talked about his secret sources who say this will get worse because "entire villages are emptying out." When he described the current conditions, a hysterical and seemingly over-caffeinated Kelly, said "right, right, we're not prepared for this." When Lynch suggested that the children were being coached because they are all claiming to be escaping from drug cartels, an agitated Kelly said "that's what the administration is saying." Lynch responded "as if drug cartels have sprung out of nowhere...that's not the case." Despite the reality that the children are being processed for possible deportation, Lynch warned that these kids will soon be costing the taxpayer lots of money when they start going to school. Kelly hollered about the costs of the situation. She warned that this won't "help the case" for immigration reform. After opining that this will alienate voters, Napolitano cited costs for caring for these children.

Kelly upped the ante with her comment about "the health risks" of having the children in close confinement. Again, despite the fact that these kids are going to be processed for deportation, Lynch predicted that "they will be going to school" even thought nobody has "checked them for diseases." He fomented more fear with talk about how these kids represent only a small portion of those crossing: "Don't you understand what you're seeing is only a small part of what is happening, it's only a pimple. This is going to transform this country." He accused Obama of turning a "blind eye" to the situation.

OMG, we're being invaded by hordes of diseased alien children and Obama is the Pied Piper. OMG!!!!

Those that support the right on this immigration debate have it completely backwards. The economical damage is not being caused migrate farm workers who work for pennies but by corporate America greed by outsourcing jobs to places like Mexico, China, India and other countries that pays a lower wage with no benefits which provides higher pay and especially bonuses to America upper management. They hide behind the words increasing stockholder values, but we know that’s a phony argument and whose values are being increased. How many America CEO and executives positions have been outsourced? How many manufacturing jobs have we lost to countries with the cheaper labor cost? You rarely see anything with the tag, Made in America anymore. This is where the focus should be directed at from the working class. It’s not who is coming over the border that’s the problem, but what’s leaving over our borders.

“When his interviewee replied “Bill, they’re not from Mexico”, O’Reilly sagely responded “So what? They’re getting in through Mexico – let Mexico deal with them!”
So, complete lack of compassion, and pushes the responsibility elsewhere – yep, he just might be a Republic!

Fox News is desperately trying to tie this kind of coverage to Eric Cantor’s humiliating loss this week. It’s obviously another manufactured “crisis”, meant to fire up the right wing base about how all these dangerous people are somehow swarming over the border from Mexico. Bill O’Reilly took it a step further last night by openly asking why they couldn’t take all the refugees that make it to Texas from wherever in Central America, put them on buses and dump them back in Mexico. When his interviewee replied “Bill, they’re not from Mexico”, O’Reilly sagely responded “So what? They’re getting in through Mexico – let Mexico deal with them!”
