Mark Fuhrman Warns: We Need To Hate Muslims More!

Posted by Ellen · May 02, 2013 8:00 AM · 7 reactions

Another night, another bout of Sean Hannity race baiting. Last night’s excuse was the arrest of three pals of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. You can rest assured that if a Republican were in the White House, Hannity would be falling all over himself praising the law enforcement work. But since it’s President Obama, the entire crime/terror attack seems little more than a string of opportunities to hate monger, in a particularly ethnic way, against President Obama. He was aided in that effort last night by former policeman Mark Fuhrman. Yes, THAT Mark Fuhrman – one of many, many white people in trouble for bigotry that Hannity has befriended.

Martha MacCallum Validates Dr. Manny Alvarez' Freak Out Over Plan B

Posted by Priscilla · May 02, 2013 6:14 AM · 1 reaction

Like so many in the Fox News supported "pro-life" community, Martha MacCallum is "horrified" by the availability of emergency contraception because it makes it "too easy" for slutty sluts to "end a pregnancy" - an assertion that is, scientifically speaking, not true as the pill prevents ovulation. Now that an OMG Reagan appointed judge has ruled that Plan B be made available, over the counter, to women of all ages, the anti-choice community is freaking out. The FDA, which is appealing the ruling, has lowered the minimum age, for accessing the drug, from 17 to 15. So not surprisingly, its media mouthpiece is on board with this patented "outrage." Yesterday, alleged "news" anchor, Martha MacCallum allowed Fox doctor Manny Alvarez to dominate the "fair & balanced" discussion with his histrionics about this "political" ruling. And not surprisingly, she agreed with him!

Sean Hannity: Obama Press Conference Answer Police

Posted by Ellen · May 01, 2013 9:01 PM · 6 reactions

Ever on the lookout for new ways to attack President Obama, Sean Hannity struck new lows of pettiness: complaining President Obama took too long to answer questions at yesterday’s press conference. Hannity began his show last night by sneering that “during the 47-minute filibuster,” Obama only took six questions. Apparently, Obama didn’t get the memo that he had a Hannity-imposed time limit. And a stop watch, apparently. Hannity was so eager to malign our president, that he actually timed the answers, made large graphics with the times and then howled about their length. As if that had anything to do with the substance of Obama's remarks.

In Memory of ET PbD

Posted by · May 01, 2013 4:24 PM · 1 reaction

It is with shock and grief that I report the sudden passing of Eileen Tuuri, also known as ET PbD, veteran of the Newshounds community. We remember her best as moderator and hearbeat the Off-Topic Forum, helping to inspire its transition from just one more group of people posting on the internet, to a close-knit community of the crazy, funny, outspoken and creative, bound together not only by common interest but by true and lasting friendship. Some of us were fortunate enough to meet her in person (as I did at the 2008 Hartford OffTopiCon) but even those who didn't are grieving for her as a much-loved friend.

Bret Baier Panel Uses Gosnell Trial To Push Obama/Infanticide Link - Again!!!

Posted by Priscilla · May 01, 2013 12:18 PM · 16 reactions

When challenged over its claim to be "fair & balanced," top Fox brass countered that their "opinion" shows are not subject to the Fox descriptor on the Fox logo; but their official "news" shows are the essence of fairness and balance. As we know from watching some of these "news" shows, that is either a lie or a serious delusion. The ludicrousness of their assertion was recently underscored during alleged news host Bret Baier's coverage of the Gosnell trial during which he and his panel took a page straight out of the anti-choice propaganda playbook by condemning late term abortion as "murder" and bringing up the discredited lie that then Sen. Obama's opposition to the Illinois "born-alive" bill was tantamount to support for infanticide. And to reinforce the lie, it was repeated during another Baier segment which pimped more anti-choice agitprop about Obama's address to Planned Parenthood.

Bill O’Reilly: Violence Is Not About Guns, It’s About Race

Posted by Ellen · May 01, 2013 8:00 AM · 16 reactions

Bill O’Reilly took race baiting to a whole new level last night. He very deliberately and shamelessly blamed minorities for violence – as if it were something peculiar to their natures and missing from whites – while feigning to be interested in an explanation. “It’s not about gun control, it’s about race,” O’Reilly said. The implication was that “race control” is what’s needed to solve problems of violence.

O'Reilly Tells Colmes To Shut Up

Posted by Ellen · April 30, 2013 11:25 PM · 7 reactions

Remember when Bill O'Reilly insisted he only said "Shut up" once? Well, he's been proven a liar again. This time, O'Reilly was yet again using the Boston Marathon bombings to hate monger against a) the bomb suspect’s mother; b) immigrants; c) “the welfare chaos” and, of course, the Obama administration and Massachusetts’ Democratic governor Deval Patrick. Apparently, Alan Colmes was a little too on-target for O'Reilly. Just like he couldn't stand the truth a few weeks ago when Colmes spoke it.

Your World Also Hypes Phony Claim That Obama Offering Food Stamps To ‘Illegals’

Posted by · April 30, 2013 3:12 PM · 1 reaction

On Friday (4/26/13), Your World fell in line with the Fox News meme of falsely suggesting that the USDA is promoting food stamp benefits to undocumented immigrants. Crystal Wright of Baker Wright Group, LLC and host Neil Cavuto turned the topic to food stamps in general. Cavuto suggested that a large number were gaming the system: “You’re talking 1 out of 5 of us in that position. That can’t be that high - that may be deserving.”

Bill O'Reilly Pimps Bogus Lila Rose Video To Solicit Donations For 'Live Action' (And Defames Dr. Tiller, Again)

Posted by Priscilla · April 30, 2013 1:54 PM · 9 reactions

Given that Bill O'Reilly is America's media pope, it's not surprising that he would support Lila Rose whom "Jezebel" accurately describes as a "Joan of Arc" with a "misguided Savior complex." Lila, like O'Reilly, is a devout Catholic who, as part of her jihad (whoops, crusade) against abortion, does sting videos (she apprenticed under James O'Keefe) in order to show abortion providers engaged in criminal activities. Her efforts at entrapping clinic staff have, however, produced no investigations, let alone prosecutions, on the part of legal authorities. But because she's anti-abortion and Fox News is the mouthpiece for the movement that seeks to take women back to the dark ages, she is always warmly welcomed on Fox. And now that her homies are using the Gosnell case to conflate his clinic with safe, legal abortion, it wasn't a surprise to see her and her bogus video warmly welcomed by Bill O'Reilly who uses his Fox pulpit to fight for the rights of the unborn.

Sean Hannity: 'Lawless' Obama Administration Encourages 'Illegals' To Apply For Food Stamps

Posted by Priscilla · April 30, 2013 11:33 AM · 5 reactions

As part of their war against food stamps and "illegals" Fox News is promoting the lie that the US is partnering with Mexico in order to encourage "illegals" to come here and illegally obtain food stamps. According to the Fox meme, the Hispanic community will vote Democratic in return for the "freebie." The reality is that the Mexico/America food stamp outreach is informational with a key piece of information being that those without citizenship or approved non-citizenship status aren't eligible for the benefit. Yesterday, Fox & Friends promoted the big lie which was later reinforced by Sean Hannity whose reporting was more accurate than F&F's.  Funny, while this international partnership was, according to the Fox News website, started under George W. Bush, it didn't produce the "outrage" that it seems to be producing now. Hmmm...
