Jon Stewart gave one of his best commentaries on the tactics of conservatives Wednesday night. And just as important, Stewart addressed the importance of not caving to what he suggested is little more than the hissy fits of a four-year old.  

Another day, another set of allegations that Bill O’Reilly has not been truthful, according to his former news colleagues. Today’s allegations come via The Guardian and pertain to O’Reilly’s claims about being attacked by protesters during riots in Los Angeles in 1992.

If you’ve watched Sean Hannity on his Rudy-Giuliani-apologist jag lately, you’ve seen him hold up as “proof” that Obama doesn’t love America his campaign promise to “fundamentally transform” it. Yet, today, Hannity jumped on stage with Ted Cruz and excitedly said, “We can transform America” in "less than two years."

In addition to being a ratings juggernaut, Fox News wields power. When Fox attacks, folks listen and take action such as when Elisabeth Hasselbeck expressed her displeasure towards a college professor who teaches about white privilege. After he was chastised, defenders of American whiteness responded - with harassment and death threats. 

Fox News host Andrea Tantaros found a new way to ratchet up hate and divisiveness today as she openly sided with Israel over her own country – and pretended she was "just asking" if the Obama administration is anti-Semitic.

Remember the Fox affiliate host who complained about Lady GaGa's "jigaboo" music? She has been suspended for three days.

Bill O’Reilly has said he saw nuns getting executed while reporting on a civil war in El Salvador in 1981. Now he says he meant he saw it on video after the fact.

Along with George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, it’s hard to imagine anyone with less credibility in fighting the war on terror than Donald Rumsfeld. But his botched invasion under false pretenses, along with other missteps and misstatements were conveniently overlooked as Fox News recast him as an elder statesman on terrorism who should teach President Obama a thing or two.

As America's Christian "news" network, Fox is very upset about ISIS's persecution of Christians - so upset that they're willing to use these poor folks to advance the popular Fox meme that the Christian hating Obama is ignoring them. Bill O’Reilly’s threat to a New York Times reporter who wanted to discuss accusations that he has not been truthful in his accounts of reporting on the Falklands war may not have done much to improve his credibility or reputation but it was no big surprise to those of us who are familiar with his behavior.
