Jon Stewart Presents Frank Luntz As The Republican Batman!
Jon Stewart took on the Republicans’ argument that President Barack Obama was re-elected because of a “messaging problem” in the GOP. Then he questioned that by showing Fox News’ showcasing of messaging techniques from Republican pollster Frank Luntz. Plus, Stewart made the hilariously snarky suggestion that maybe the party needs some kind of PR machine with a veneer of journalism called something like “Ferret News.”

Oh to be a fly on the wall at the Texas School Board. During the Political Grapevine segment of Special Report yesterday, host John Roberts reported that the New York City public school system had "revealed" a much greater use of the Morning After Pill than had previously been reported. The suggestion, of course, was that the schools were covering up what a bunch of out-of-control sluts they had for students. As a result of the Newtown massacre, there has been a push for stricter gun laws. But attempts to create legislation around prohibitions on assault weapons, background checks for gun shows, limits on ammunition clip sizes, etc. are opposed by the NRA and far right Second Amendment supporters who actually believe that further gun restrictions will lead to nation wide gun seizures by President Obama's jack booted thugs. Of course these are the same deficit hawk types who have no problem cutting mental health service; but I digress. This morning, Steve Doocy listened raptly as he sat knee to knee with his right wing sensei , Peter Johnson Jr. whose passion for gun rights clearly supersedes concern for the rights of those who are mentally ill who, contrary to Johnson's belief, are not the main offenders!

Ann Coulter visited Hannity last night to offer her “thoughts” on gun control – which, naturally, meant that the 50-ish Coulter let forth with a stream of childish invective. Near the end, she spewed outrage that people would think “we” don’t care about children. Because, you know, she’s such a vision of compassion and caring.
