With all the vilification of Vice President Joe Biden on Fox News lately, it was only a matter of time until their resident psychiatrist weighed in. This morning, on Fox & Friends, "Medical A Team" psychiatrist Keith Ablow proved once again that he may need a shrink, himself, as he insisted that Biden ought to be evaluated for dementia. How crazy was that? So crazy that two of the hosts argued otherwise. But Ablow's "assessment" just happened to match comments made by other Fox News pundits about Biden.
As I wrote in my post on the subject over at Crooks and Liars, Ablow said:
I did not evaluate Joe Biden but if someone said to me, "Listen, we want you to do what’s really required to know what happened there," you have to put "dementia" on the differential diagnosis… If this were your Dad or your grandfather, wouldn’t you say, if you brought him to me, "Keith, you gotta tell me, is he suffering with dementia? Because he can’t seem to listen, he’s laughing inappropriately.

When the people paid to get you into office are focusing their wordplay on saying you’re a lying piece of shit that shouldn’t be let into any major office in a way they don’t get fired over… there’s a problem.
And like I said, where was Ablow for that?
I’d not heard that yet but have a gut feeling it’s true.
Twice during the Presidential debate, Romney claimed that his health plan would cover pre-existing conditions. The way he said it allowed one to think he was referring to new policies but – no – only to situations of “continuous coverage” (no interruption in payment of premiums). That’s already the law, actually, and even his own campaign walked back on that one the next day.
Paul Krugman provided a full analysis (with projections of the number of people who would actually lose their coverage) in the New York Times (yesterday or the day before).

Where was he when Romney’s own campaign said that he’s physically incapable of telling the truth, and has a sociopathic level of contempt for the people?

Sometimes I wonder how many innocent people this quack put in prison as a profiler. He clearly lacks both the objectivity and the attention to factual detail needed to do a competent job.
All Biden is guilty of is having a strong performance. They know it. It’s not like he started an unnecessary war or shot his best friend in the face, mistaking him for a bird.
