Huckabee Says Biden Like 'An Obnoxious Drunk'

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on October 12, 2012 · Flag

As more proof that respect is a one-way street on Fox News, host Mike Huckabee visited America’s Newsroom this morning and likened Vice President Joe Biden to “an obnoxious drunk who’s loud and boisterous and interrupts every conversation.” Despite all the hand-wringing the night before about Biden’s disrespect toward VP candidate Paul Ryan, do you think host Bill Hemmer found that out of line? Three guesses and the first two don’t count! (H/T Jay Diamond)

Here’s what Huckabee said:

I thought that Joe Biden came across like a guy that you meet at a cocktail party or some political event, an obnoxious drunk who’s loud and boisterous and interrupts every conversation. He just is the kind of guy you want to get away from as quickly as you can and go find someone else to talk to. It was just boorish behavior for the first half. I think somewhere during the debate, he took Ritalin and he started calming down by the end. But it was not the kind of thing that is very helpful to Joe Biden and his image with voters in the heartland of America who are taught to be polite. And he just wasn’t.

Last night, Fox Newsies fell all over themselves with concern about Biden’s disrespect, condescension, rudeness and more toward Congressman Ryan. In fact, a lower-third banner in this same segment complained Biden was "described as disrespectful." But this kind of talk about our vice president? Hemmer called that “interesting.”

But just like last night, the words “Ryan won the debate” were nowhere to be found.

Fox's Mike Huckabee: Biden Came Across As An 'Obnoxious Drunk' During Debate

On Friday, Mike Huckabee said Vice President Joe Biden came off as "an obnoxious drunk" during Thursday night's vice presidential debate. The laughing and interrupting wasn't "helpful" to Biden's image, he said.

Gomer the Huckster’s good-ole-boy country preacher act is a fake. He’s a hateful, intolerant teabagger. His true calling is pastor of the American Taliban Church.

For obnoxious and rude behavior: look no further to O’Reilly, Hannity, and Megyn Kelly when they have guests they disagree with. Neal Craputo is not far behind.

If Huck thinks Biden — who, paul brown noted, is a teetotaler — is “an obnoxious drunk,” I wonder what he thinks of a sitting US president who downs a pisco sour at an international conference:

@paul brown: But, from what the cons have been saying, Paul Ryan’s also Irish. And, given his looks, I’d say Ryan’s one of those typical fratboy drunks—the ones who are sober from Sunday night to Friday afternoon, but come Friday night, and the frat’s holding its latest party, starts drinking and doesn’t stop until he passes out and when he finally wakes up, he starts drinking again, and keeps this up until early Sunday morning (when he realizes he needs to be sober enough for class the next day).

Thanks doors17. Over here, the title’s something like Death on the River. I’d forgotten Shelley Winters was the young mother who fell for the huckster preacher and lost her life.

Yes! Only the Neocons have the right to be hateful, rude, obnoxious and disrespectful,we already know that,we don’t have to be scolded by the Huckleberry Hounddog.
Dear God in heaven these people are the absolute worst group of humanity.

What really upsets Gomer the Huckster and Fux Noise is that our Vice President forcefully and effectively called out Lying Ryan. Let’s hope our President does the same when he debates MagicUnderwear Mitt on Tuesday.

My grandma used to say “be wary of those who cling too tightly to the rosaries”. That’s a rough translation of her Italian.
Huckabee makes me think of this saying.

Huckster shows up on Rupert Murdoch’s Hate Central and forgets the great mass of documented accounts showing Lyin’ Ryan lying becuase Huckster believes Lying is OK if you’re a fanatic like hizself.

bemused, The movie you’re thinking of is, The Night of the Hunter. It came out in 1955, with Shelley Winters. Excellent movie.

My latest edition of “Chow Mein and Bolling” is all about Bully Boy Bolling’s reaction to the VP debate on The Five. “Chow Mein and Bolling” is fast becoming my most popular series. You can check them all out here: http://notnowsilly.blogspot.com/search/label/Chow%20Mein%20and%20Bolling

Huckabee reminds me of Robert Mitchim in a film where he’s a fire-and-brimestone preacher with HATE tattooed on one hand and LOVE on the other (preaching props). He marries a local girl, kills her and looks for the loot that her late husband had not handed over to his pals before being sent to jail.

Don’t remember the name of the film, but that’s who Huckabee reminds me of.

@Rob Wilhelm: spot on. Everytime I hear him (and others of his ilk) speak, I wonder “What would Jesus Say?”. All that hatred, all that maligning, all that mis-representation. No wonder the likes of him believe that simply believing that God exists will save them. I don’t know if God exists or not but – if he does – I trust that he won’t reward the “doas I say not as I do” sort of christian (small C intended).

If Huckabee represents what Christianity should be, Christianity is in need of a fix.

These Fox “News” frauds are in no position to discuss disrespect, given their long history of misleading their audience on edited content.

If Moral Oral Hucky wants to discuss disrespect, we can begin with News Corporation’s News International hacking of a murdered 13-year-old British girl’s phone, and the arrest of 47 people involved in criminal misconduct, most were News Corporation employees. Notice how Hucky is mum regarding the mounting criminal complaints against News Corporation.

King Mitt and his Court Jester Ryan have no problem associating themselves with News Corporation. The hacking scandals are not a big deal to these candidates.

When Ruthless Rupy goes down, he’s taking all of the GOP with him, including The Mitt.
