Monica Crowley Suggests We Need To Compromise The Bill Of Rights
Remember how, less than two weeks ago, Monica Crowley accused President Obama of “attacking,” “in every possible way, every major right” in the Bill of Rights? Apparently, it was a classic case of projection because about a week later (5/27/13), Crowley suggested to Donald Rumsfeld that the Constitution may need to be curtailed in order to fight the War on Terror.
Read moreFr. Jonathan Morris Whines That Atheists Are Disrespectful? Excuse Me?
As a the Christian right's propaganda outlet, Fox News never wastes an opportunity to attack atheists who are right up there with minorities, Muslims, and immigrants on the official Fox News enemies list. Whenever the Christian right attempts to blur the lines between church and state, Fox is right there to support them and, in so doing, advance Fox's ongoing persecuted Christian meme. Fox's official propaganda priest, Fr. Jonathan Morris, who actually believes that there should be no "wall of separation" because "God" is mentioned in the Constitution, is a vital part of this narrative. Obviously, he is not a constitutional scholar; but he is very adept at promoting the Christian right agenda such as prayer in public schools and school vouchers. He also pushes Christian right paranoia, popular on Fox, about how those evil atheists are out to destroy America, even to the point of trying to take "God" off the money and take prayer out of West Point. And despite his, and other Fox hosts' attacks on atheists, sweet lil Fr. Morris also thinks that atheists are "disrespectful" - OH, The Irony!
Read moreFox Nation Readers Debate: Should We Shoot Or Hang President Obama?
Here's the Fox News extremist-mainstreaming machine in action: contributor Allen West, an heir to the Glenn Beck/Joseph McCarthy mantle of hate mongering, validates a suggestion that impeaching President Obama should be considered and/or that he should resign - and Fox Nation trumpets it with the headline, Allen West: Impeaching Obama Should Be On The Table. As if West is some kind of opinion leader and/or anyone at Fox News would have paid West any attention had he said something like, "Republicans need to stop talking impeachment." Fox Nation readers get the hint, of course. In this case, the hatred ratcheted up to the point of two readers arguing about methods of executing President Obama, Vice President Biden, Attorney General Holder and Nancy Pelosi.

Here we go again, or maybe I should say, "There they go again." This time, the assortment of subjects includes Benghazi, the IRS, Obamacare and the alleged rudeness of liberals. Click through to find another array of Fox News outrageousness. But only one can be the Most Outrageous and the final choice is up to you!
Read moreFox Nation Headline Lies: Tony Blair Did Not Say 'There Is Problem WITH Islam'
In what appears to be a desperate attempt to validate the Fox News' Islamophobia, Fox Nation has actually posted a headline that misquotes the former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair. The headline reads "Tony Blair: 'Be Honest...There Is A Problem With Islam'." The real problem is that Blair, writing in the Daily Mail regarding the Islamic extremism that seems to have been a factor in the death of a British soldier, says the following: "But there is a problem within Islam – from the adherents of an ideology that is a strain within Islam. And we have to put it on the table and be honest about it." Not "with Islam" but "within" - big difference.
Read moreAndrea Tantaros Our Outrageous Loser Last Week
It's not too surprising that Andrea Tantaros "won" our Outrageous Quote of the Week poll last week with her disgusting request that her radio show listeners "do me a favor" and punch an Obama supporter "in the face." Her statement is bad enough but to my knowledge, she has not apologized. Even worse, Fox News does not seem to mind. This, by the way, is Tantaros' second win, out of three polls so far. Her last "win" was for suggesting Malia Obama should go on birth control. So if being hateful and inciting violence is your idea of making a name for yourself, Andrea, congratulations on your win. But if you have any decency, you couldn't be a bigger loser.

We had a fairly quiet week Fox Mail-wise. Still, the emails we got reveal not only the cluelessness of some Fox News viewers who can’t tell the difference between us and them but also their mindset.
Read moreBill O'Reilly Endorses Islamophobia In The Name Of Ethnic Fairness?!?
Bill O'Reilly's "Tip of the Day," is a stunning illustration of O'Reilly's hypocrisy at best or cognitive dissonance at worst in that what he preaches isn't anything remotely like what he practices. Given O'Reilly's pattern of Islamophobic comments, which suggest that Islamic terrorism is a reflection of Islam and his belief that the world has a "Muslim problem," a recent "Tip," about "being fair to every ethnic group," seemed to be more divergence between what Bill advises and what he says. But on second glance, it was actually quite consistent in that he actually qualified his advice with a caveat that was perfectly consistent with his toxic world view - a world view that he proudly articulated on the Daily Show which he proudly used as the visual aid for his "tip."
Read moreBefore You Make Megyn Kelly A Hero For Challenging Erick Erickson’s Sexist Comments…
Megyn Kelly righteously made the case for working mothers yesterday when she took on Fox News contributor Erick Erickson and Lou Dobbs for their now-infamous comments that breadwinner mothers are somehow unnatural, bad for children and/or antithetical to the “typically” “dominant role” of the male. But before anyone goes lionizing her, consider the likelihood that she was doing exactly what Fox News wanted her to do.
