Outrageous Quote Of The Week Poll – 5/26/13-6/1/13

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on June 02, 2013 · Flag

Here we go again, or maybe I should say, "There they go again." In any event, while a certain Fox News contributor made big news this week with certain comments (which I can assure you are included in this week's poll), his were not the only outrageous comments on the "fair and balanced" network. This time, the assortment of subjects includes Benghazi, the IRS, Obamacare and the alleged rudeness of liberals. Click through to find another array of Fox News outrageousness. But only one can be the Most Outrageous and the final choice is up to you!

1.  Donald Rumsfeld lecturing President Obama (again) about the need for candor: “Get the facts out and put the facts out so that people know the truth about something. And if people grab arguments of convenience or put out a narrative that doesn’t prove out over time, they’re hurt, they’re badly damaged.”  (5/28/13)

2.  Tony Sayegh, on the Hannity show, praising Donald Rumsfeld's "accountability" in the War on Terror and suggesting that the Obama administration should emulate his example:

During the Bush administration, you took a lot of heat for the Abu Ghraib prison scandal where no Americans died. And you, though, offered – as we found out in interviews later – your resignation twice to the president. He didn’t accept them because you took accountability, which is an essential part of leadership. Here in Benghazi, four American heroes have died. Yet we see no one in this administration rising to the challenge of taking accountability for this. (5/28/13)

3.  Dr. Manny Alvarez, Fox’s “Senior Managing Editor For Health News” sounding more like a Republican operative than a news person when he discussed Obamacare on Your World: “I’m going to be campaigning out there to repeal this stuff. This is socialized medicine at its best.” (5/28/13)

4.  Greg Gutfeld calling the kettle black as he supposedly waved his own patriotism cred by attacking Lena Dunham’s Memorial day tweet, saying it “reflect(ed) on her own banality, the banality of current celebrity culture and she could see the vacuousness of her own tweet.” (5/28/13)

5.  Fox Nation headline “just asking” “Why Are Liberals So Rude To The Right?” (5/28/13)

6.  Bill O’Reilly unintentionally indicting himself as he compared the IRS controversy to hate speech – and then defined hate speech as follows:  “It is based on personal attacks designed to injure.” (5/29/13)

7.  Bill O’Reilly threatening to boycott Mexico and ruin their economy if an American prisoner is not released:

I think if Mexico goes ahead and prosecutes this woman and keeps her in a filthy prison, that Americans are gonna say, “Know what? Adios. We’re not going there.” And if that happens, the Mexican economy collapses.

…Guess who’s gonna lead that boycott, Ms. Megyn? …I’m keeping my powder dry until Friday. We’re gonna give ‘em a chance to do the right thing. They do the wrong thing… If the judge does not throw the case out, it will be muy malo for Mexico. (5/29/13)

8.  Erick Erickson, on the rise of “breadwinner Moms:”

I’m so used to liberals telling conservatives that they’re anti-science. But liberals who defend this and say it is not a bad thing are very anti-science.

When you look at biology, you look at the natural world, the roles of a male and a female in society and in other animals, the male typically is the dominant role. The female, it’s not antithesis, or it’s not competing, it’s a complementary role. We, as people in a smart society, have lost the ability to have complementary relationships in nuclear families, and it’s tearing us apart. (5/29/13)

9.  Tony Perkins, fear mongering that the IRS will turn into some kind of Palin-esque “death panel:” “We should never allow this tainted federal agency to supervise our health care, too. Otherwise, we would deliver into its hands not only our money, but our very lives.” (5/30/13)

Was going to go with Sayegh with his ass-kissing of Rummy but am going to go with Erickson. I posted on Princess SparklePony’s Facebook page asking her why hasn’t she commented yet or Erickson’s and Dobbs’s comments and snarkfest. So far no reply.

Wow. And all this by proponents of a party that is desperately trying to reach out to minorities?
Rummy is still the same bag of shit he’s always been. He’s never made any sense, so he doesn’t surprise me or bother me that much any more.
But Erickson? Now that’s an NEW bag of shit. I find him much more amusing than Rummy!

I was torn between #1 and #2. Both pitiful attempts at polishing the Dumbya legacy turd. I will go with Rummy at #1. This clown’s malfeasance in starting and waging a totally unnecessary war in Iraq cost us trillions of dollars and thousands of lives.

I don’t know why the text has a colored background. I keep trying to get rid of it…

If anyone knows how to fix it or of a better poll that allows unlimited voting and unlimited polls, let me know.

Meanwhile, I hope you won’t let it prohibit you from reading the entries and voting!
