Fox & Friends Message: Religious Movie Shows How Schools Have 'Scrubbed God'
Corbin Bernsen has certainly had a far more auspicious career than Kirk Cameron. But, like Kirk, he found Jesus and, like Kirk, is now producing religious films which, like Kirk's films, are promoted on America's faith based morning show, "Fox & Friends." This morning, on Fox & Friends, Bernsen discussed his new film, "Beyond the Heavens," which, according to "Movie Guide," is about how a religiously skeptical young boy and his religiously skeptical teacher eventually come to God. However, unlike Kirk's oeuvre, this film isn't as didactic. During the interview, Bernsen, in focusing on how the movie is about "exploration of faith," downplayed the evangelical aspect of the movie. But that didn't stop the cretinous, curvy couch conservative Christians from using the film to channel the inerrant word of the religious right.

Ever on the lookout for victims of Obamacare – which Fox then trots out as “proof” that the entire Affordable Care Act is a failure, Fox is not too particular about the facts. Such as whether or not these people really are victims. We saw it with the Hannity show, with The Kelly File and now… Your World.

Last week, I posted about Sean Hannity’s promise to help Tea Party Senator (and government shutdown BFF) Mike Lee (R-UT) re-elected despite an effort by more mainstream Republicans to oust him. Last night, Hannity doubled down and all but gave out an 800 number for viewers to call in and pledge assistance.
Read moreFox News’ Dr. Siegel: Obamacare Means Too Many People Will Get Health Care
Last night, Fox News contributor Dr. Marc Siegel once again complained about Obamacare. His beef? Too many people will get medical attention as a result. Only on Fox News would a doctor who wants people to get less health care be on the payroll. And be allowed to air this bellyaching repeatedly.
Read moreBill O'Reilly Fantasizes About Offending Hispanics?!
Can you imagine Bill O'Reilly's outrage if students at a publicly funded or an Ivy League college showed up at a Halloween party dressed as pregnant nuns or priests with enlarged, exposed private parts? (According to the Catholic League's Bill Donohue, these costumes exist.) Yet, Bill, and his wing men, Greg Gutfeld and Bernard McGuirk seem to think that students at the University of Colorado should be able to wear, in contravention of the school's guidelines, Halloween costumes that are racially and ethnically insensitive. But then should we be surprised? After all, O'Reilly didn't think that African-Americans have table manners, Greg Gutfeld believes that SCOTUS Justice Sonia Sotomayor was picked only because she's Hispanic, and Bernard McGuirk referred to African-American college championship basketball players as "nappy headed ho's."
Read moreOn Fox & Friends: More Hysteria Over Muslim 'War On Christians'
Last week, Fox combined their patented Muslims suck meme with their patented Christians are persecuted meme in a trifecta of stories about how Christians are being persecuted by Muslims and, even worse, President Obama is doing nothing about it. Megyn Kelly's interview with an anti-Islamic guest appeared to be a rational discussion. (It wasn't). Shannon Bream's report appeared to be a rational "fair & balanced" presentation. (It wasn't) And rounding out the trifecta, was a Fox & Friends piece that dispensed with any semblance of rationality regarding the issue. Obviously, the plight of Christians, in nations where they are persecuted, is worthy of a serious and objective discussion. It didn't happen on Fox & Friends where Peter Johnson Jr. got nearly hysterical.
Read moreDr. Keith Ablow Gets Psychoanalyzed By Stephen Colbert
Fox's resident psychiatrist, Dr. Keith Ablow, is actually a real doctor. But that he is also playing a Fox News propagandist is evident in his personal attacks, couched as psychiatric evaluations, which are directed towards those who meet with Fox's disapproval. These alleged clinical assessments, which might be a violation of the American Psychiatric Association Code of Professional Ethics, have been used to smear Chaz Bono, Bill Maher, and Media Matters' David Brock. Recently, Ablow, in advancing the Fox/right wing meme about undeserving dark skinned welfare recipients, smeared President Obama with a "diagnosis" that Obama has a "victim mentality" as a result of having been abandoned by his father. The attack did not go unnoticed. In a stinging and hilarious piece of satire, Stephen Colbert provided his own virtual analysis of Ablow which focused on Ablow's potty training issues!

Megyn Kelly announced at the beginning of her “Kelly File exclusive” last night that she wasn’t certain that the people she was presenting as Obamacare victims really had lost their insurance plans and their doctor because of the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"). But they claimed to be so that was good enough for her and the viewers. When a guest later exposed the charade, Kelly insisted it proved her point.

Kudos to Bill O’Reilly for asking some tough questions of Dick Cheney tonight but there’s no doubt that Cheney got a pass on his excuses for invading Iraq that nobody on Fox would ever have given Obama. All you have to do is look at how they keep questioning and rehashing and rehashing Benghazi. In fact, O'Reilly condemned President Obama's handling of Benghazi earlier in this very show. A tragedy to be sure but nothing like the tragedy of the Iraq war. Unless you’re the Republican administration that waged it.
