Laura Ingraham Can’t Explain What The Scandal Behind Benghazi Is

Posted by Ellen -7841.60pc on August 06, 2013 · Flag

If ever you needed proof that the Fox News/GOP-beloved Benghazi-Gate is a phony scandal, check out how Laura Ingraham, substitute host on The O’Reilly Factor tonight, could not explain what the scandal is when challenged to do so by Alan Colmes.

The discussion was really about the RNC’s threats to block CNN and NBC from hosting Republican presidential debates if the networks go forward with Hillary Clinton projects. But in the middle, Ingraham brought up Benghazi as “proof” that the projects (which Colmes previously pointed out nobody had seen) were sure to be biased:

INGRAHAM: Do you think the night of Benghazi is going to be a real focus of any of these movies?

COLMES: No, Benghazi is a phony scandal. Four people died. That’s a tragedy. If you don’t know the difference between a tragedy and a scandal, get a thesaurus. I’m so tired of hearing the word ‘scandal’ associated with Benghazi.

INGRAHAM: Where was Hillary that night?

COLMES: What was the scandal? What was the scandal? I don’t know what the scandal was.

INGRAHAM: The president spoke to Hillary one time.

COLMES: That’s a scandal? That’s a scandal?

INGRAHAM: He then, in the next morning, goes to the Rose Garden, gives a cursory few remarks, hops a plane to Las Vegas…

COLMES: That’s a scandal?

INGRAHAM: …when we still have survivors who haven’t been rescued.

COLMES: How is that a scandal?

INGRAHAM: Yes, it is a scandal.

COLMES: …In everything you’ve said, I’ve not heard anything that hints scandal. What’s the scandal?

INGRAHAM: I’ve recited why it’s a scandal.

Well, if she has, then I'm the Queen of Sheba.

By the way, Media Matters has an excellent round up of Myths And Facts About The Benghazi Attack And Protests In The Middle East.

Ms. Ingraham knew she was beaten on this one and seemed a little surprised by the Mouse That Roared. She ended this segment as fast as she could when she realized what was happening. Snicker.

It’s a scandal because Jabba the Ailes says so. And Screech Ingraham will oink out that it’s a scandal as long as she draws a Fux Noise paycheck.

That Ms. Ingraham can spew her hatred, just to hustle a buck, and then call herself a Christian, NOW THAT’S A SCANDAL.

Jason, I just wonder if you could name the Obama Administration policies you were supporting up to 9/11/2012. Are you saying that you support the ACA? Do you support the Dream Act? Were you opposed to the GOP obstruction before 9/11/2012? Since, as you said, you were supporting Obama before that time, this shouldn’t be a problem, correct? Please be specific with your answers.

I follow pretty much everyone on both sides, and let me make this as clearly as I can, by repeating a simple point I made on another thread:

Find any wrongdoing from the left- I mean actual wrongdoing, not something Freep, Fox Nation or Newsbusters lied about. I’ll wait.

For whatever one wrongdoing you found from the left… magnify that at a rate where one 30 second comment from Bill Maher justifies 30 hours of worse from Rush Limbaugh. Newsbuster lied that Morning Joe tried to claim the Mayor of San Diego is a Republican- Fox News has falsely identified no less than 30 Republicans as Democrats when they were caught in wrongdoing. MSNBC’s Rick Sanchez got fired for calling Jon Stewart a bigot, Glenn Beck got a raise for calling Obama a racist.

I was going to make a video series comparing liberal bias and propaganda to conservatives, but I had to quit, because every one example from the left came with 300 examples from the right. I couldn’t produce a balanced narrative if I tried.

I care about who’s out of line, pal… and Fox News has more out of line incidents in any given 10 minutes than the “brazenly liberal media” gets in a month. That is not an exaggeration.

@ Jason MacCutchin:

“wow, nice website….it must be nice only having to “watch” one media outlet for bias when 99% of the media is brazenly liberal. I mean, just look at NBC and CNN making a mini-series and a documentary promoting Hillary Clinton (and then there’s “Rodham,”) I mean come on.”

Say, Jason — to paraphrase what Alan Colmes asked Laura Ingraham: Did you whine as loudly when CNN did a documentary on Mitt Romney in August 2012?

“Those Republican Congressmen are faithfully representing their constituents by holding The Obama admin at bay until 2014 when they hope to over take the Senate majority. It is easy to believe the Republican Party is inefficient and solely responsible for where this country is now, but that is just not true.”

Here’s some numbers for you, Jason . . .

Number of times the (GOP-controlled) House has voted “symbolically” to repeal the ACA: 30+

Number of times the (GOP-controlled) House has voted on a jobs bill: 0

That what you call “faithfully representing their constituents”?

You'd think she'd have it down after all this time... if it was a real scandal, that is.
