Shannon Bream Pimps Kirk Cameron's Movie, Suggests Hollywood Bias Against Christians

Given that the conservative, Christian right feels that they are constantly under seige by the evil forces of secularism and "the gay agenda," it's not surprising that Fox News provides them with warm Christian fellowship and validation for their perceived grievances. In the Christian world of Fox News, Hollywood (which is owned, in part, by Fox big daddy Rupert Murdoch) is particularly egregious in its alleged bias against Christians. Yesterday, on America Live, Fox's anti-gay "news" host, Shannon Bream was able to promote the popular right wing meme of hostility towards Christians in the military and - wait for it - hostility toward Christians by liberal Hollywood. And for extra celestial bonus points, she let her fellow Jesus BFF and former child star, Kirk Cameron, pimp his movie for the second time on Jesus' very own news network.

On yesterday's alleged "news" show, America Live, Bream played video of the big talking head of Kirk Cameron talking about his spiritual "journey" while some guys moaned in the background. The usual stone faced Bream smiled as she introduced Cameron whose movie will have a one night only showing tonight at Bream's alma mater, the very Christian Liberty University. Bream actually got animated as she said that "it could turn into two nights." She explained that poor Kirk ran into some problems with some social media sites that "weren't cooperating with you." But thanks be to God, it all worked out and Facebook and You Tube has Cameron's future Oscar winner.

As he did on Fox & Friends, former child star of "Growing Pains,"Cameron discussed "the most personal project he ever made" regarding his faith. The alleged news anchor Bream went straight into the Christian agitprop: "Do feel that there is a bias against Christian messages, against movies like this...during the years that you have been in the entertainment business?" Cameron responded that "absolutely there is hostility towards people of faith." He opined that "there has been a spike in these kinds of agitators coming out in full force against communities of faith." There was a spit out the coffee moment when the homophobic Cameron said it was important that people speak out about their faith which emphasized faith, hope, and love on a network that vilifies Muslims, minorities, immigrants, atheists, gays, poor people, etc.

Cameron claimed that there is "massive" support for his flick because folks want "answers to big questions" that obviously he is addressing in his epic blockbuster. Another moment of irony occurred when Bream asked if Christians emphasize faith to the detriment of "hope and compassion." Cameron spoke about how Jesus was able to combine faith with love and compassion and that ultimately "God is in control," Jesus, faith, blah, blah, blah....Bream assured him that she will check out the movie as she knows "many others across the country will."

The robotic Shannon Bream is no Megyn Kelly whose propaganda was a little more lively and not always this blatant.

I presume this will be on a double-bill with the third Atlas Shrugged movie.

Amy, you speak the truth- An actor can be as out of line as they want, whatever religion they want, whatever lifestyle they want… They don’t care. All they care about is who can make them the most money.

Jennifer Lawrence is a good example of this- She’s been in just as many horrible movies as she has good ones, but her crooked smile and easygoing onscreen persona could sell crap in tinfoil. People realized with the first Hunger Games (her worst movie by far, IMHO) that her bad movies didn’t have jack going for them outside of her, so we know she sells.

But take a look at how she thinks her fame entitles her to act, and she’s a horrible person. I actually dread when I get told to watch an interview with her, because she has some truly stomach turning views.

But, as long as she keeps turning crap movies into box office gold, no producer’s gonna care. Most of the celebs who thinks she needs to evolve her views or drop out of Hollywood politics keep it to themselves, because they don’t want the stigma of criticizing the hot property. It’s that bad.

Kirkie’s movies should all be grouped under the title “Unwatchable”.

Shannon Bream must be talking about the entertainment side of News Corporation. You know, 20th Century Fox, Fox Television, Fox Animation, and other News Corporation units.

NOTE TO BREAM

You forgot to send a memo to Rupert about his company’s anti-christian bias.

If the 10 minutes that I could stand to watch of “Left Behind” is any indication, I doubt “Unstoppable” is anything near a blockbuster.

I remember whne he was on Growing Pains, and became born again, he turn into a real jerk. He had the actress, who was going to be his TV Wife fired, for possing in Playboy. And he stab the back of the creators of Growing Pains (who made hima star), by lying that they were porn makers.

Isn’t ‘Martyrdom’ for the faith an instant pass to ‘Go’?
One would think that these VERY DEVOUT and PIOUS christians would embrace any chance to quickly gain entry to the Kingdom In The Sky. But maybe they’re just making this shit up trying to fool god into believing they’re suffering terribly.
I say we bring back the lions and give them the chance to at least be HONEST victims.

I’ve lived in the Los Angeles area my whole life. I’ve never worked in the industry, but I know people who do, and I’m familiar with how Hollywood works. The only bias anyone in Hollywood holds is against anyone who doesn’t make pots of money for the powers that be. If Kirk stars in a big budget biblical epic which earns a gazillion dollars for the studio and movie backers, they’d love this guy. But he’d rather make crappy little movies instead and whine about some nonexistent bias against Christians. (As a side note: The History channel miniseries The Bible earned Emmy award nominations not because it was actually good, but because it drew blockbuster ratings.)

Wow. Either someone was quick on the edits following my comment or someone was in the process of editing as I posted.

Uh, the headline and much of the article need to be edited.

Headline: Shannon Bream Pimps Kurt Cameron’s Movie, Suggests Hollywood Bias Against Christians

From the article: “former child star, Kurt Cameron,” and “big talking head of Kurt Cameron” and “that poor Kurt ran”

All of these need to be Kirk—not “Kurt.”

(The video link at the bottom has the name correct.)
