As the mouthpiece for the public education hating right wing, Fox News nevah, evah wastes an opportunity to bash the public education system and those who teach in it. Not surprisingly, most of the invective involves alleged liberal indoctrination which is rather ironic because Fox News is all about conservative indoctrination. Vital to Fox's anti-education meme are students who are victimized by alleged liberal bias and whose attempts to speak right wing truth to power are lauded by Fox. The newest right wing outage is over a liberal Colorado professor who is "forcing" his students to say un-American things. Yesterday, the leggy ladies on Outnumbered whined about this affront to conservative students. And today - drum roll please - Fox & Friends hosted one such heroic student for yet another patented Fox & Friends pity party

For all the many, many reasons to despise Sean Hannity, perhaps the single most important reason is his endorsement of torture and torturers as patriotic. Last night, Hannity gave the seal of approval to waterboarding, even as he continues to shirk his promise to undergo it for charity.

On FoxNews.com, there’s a video clip from On The Record called “Jon Stewart apologizes to Calif. D.A.” It’s true, Stewart did apologize for a mistake about the death of an unarmed African American after an encounter with the police. But Fox left out the part where Stewart cursed out Fox’s Brian Kilmeade for using that minor mistake to dishonestly characterize the rest of what was said.

If you want to know what's hot, hot, hot, in the world of the perpetually aggrieved right wing community, look no further than Fox News. The latest outrage, about a liberal professor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, fits nicely with Fox's we don't need no librul education meme. Fox introduced the latest bit of toxicity as a great, big website lede during the week-end. So it wasn't a surprise when it popped up, on today's Outnumbered where the lovely, leggy, ladies and #oneluckyguy Jesse Watters whined about this teacher who has been outed by the courageous conservative kids at "Campus Reform." Now that Ward Churchill is old news, I guess Fox News needs a new punching bag?

Last night, Jon Stewart apologized for his minor error in a commentary about police killings of African Americans. But he had some choice words for Fox News. With special focus on Brian Kilmeade who deceptively spun Stewart’s mistake in order to delegitimize everything else Stewart said.

On today’s Outnumbered, two Fox News hosts tried to diminish the Senate torture report by accusing the Democrats of releasing it to distract from ObamaCare. But Jesse Watters went a step further in announcing that he doesn’t think the tactics revealed in the report constitute torture.

As the guardian of the true meaning of Christmas, Bill O'Reilly loves to chastise anyone whose seasonal celebrations don't meet his high standards. In addition to getting coal in their stockings, those who transgress get a steaming pile of bold, fresh nationally televised hectoring which includes the lies and personal attacks which are a vital part of Bill's favorite season. In 2007, Bill directed his Christmas wrath against Great Barrington, MA which, according to Bill, "banned" town sponsored holiday lights when, in reality, the lights were put on timers because of environmental concerns.  In 2012, Bill claimed that lights had, again, been "banned" when, in reality, the lights were down because of road construction. (Bill didn't mention that the town had plenty of other Christmas decor.) And because the lights aren't back yet, Fox's Father Christmas is, again, spreading Christmas peace, love, and slander.

President Barack Obama visited The Colbert Report last night. But before the official interview began, he hijacked Colbert's The Word commentary for some comments of his own about ObamaCare. It was a funny bit and one of the laughs was at Fox News' expense, via the producers.

Sean Hannity hosted his pal Ralph Peters last night for a torture-loving, Obama-hating discussion about the forthcoming report on CIA torture during the Bush administration. But Peters didn’t just endorse torture, he thought it should be commended.

Tavis Smiley and Sean Hannity got into quite the shouting match tonight over both the Ferguson and Eric Garner cases. Hannity broke out the old, “Let me educate you” a few times. But Smiley threw it back at him.
