On Fox & Friends: No Academic Freedom For Liberal Professors!

Posted by Priscilla · April 23, 2014 12:08 PM · 1 reaction

When Ayaan Hirsi Ali was denied a Brandeis honorary degree over her perceived anti-Muslim agenda, Fox News was all academic freedom, First Amendment, yadda, yadda. But when a liberal academic is critical of the GOP, it's all off with his head. The latest outrage is directed against a teacher at Eastern Connecticut (evil, librul state) who had the effrontery to criticize Republicans. So as the mouthpiece for the perpetually outraged right wing community and its affiliated blogs, it wasn't a surprise that Fox & Friends would take up their newest causus belli against the aforementioned teacher who has apologized. Joining walls of genius Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Brian Kilmeade was Caleb Bonham who, only last weekend, whined about liberal bias at college commencements. As Jon Stewart wisely said, "conservative victimization is the true genius" of Fox News."

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 'As A Mom,' Doesn't Get Problem With 'Under God' In Pledge Of Allegiance!

In addition to providing a platform for persecuted Christians, Fox & Friends promotes a platform for any perceived affronts to the American flag which, for those who watch Fox, is an object of cultic worship because it represents Jesus' favorite country. So it's not surprising that Fox & Friends, the show for persecuted Christians would also be the venue for the persecuted flag and, by extension, the pledge to the flag. Back in September of 2013, Roger Ailes' consigliore and Catholic Maltese Knight Peter Johnson Jr. attacked the patriotism of those who brought suit against the "under God" wording in the Pledge of Allegiance in a case now before the MA Supreme Court. Now that a NJ school district is being sued for the same thing, Elisabeth Hasselbeck isn't directly attacking the atheists; but, rather, is expressing her confusion over why those silly atheists types want to attack - wait for it - the student's "freedom of religion."

Hannity’s Bizarre Response To Jon Stewart Over Bundy Ranch Conflict

Posted by Ellen · April 22, 2014 11:15 PM · 34 reactions

Hannity_Daily_Show_Deception.png

As I posted earlier today, Jon Stewart shredded Sean Hannity last night over his hypocritical adulation for Cliven Bundy, the lawbreaking rancher in Nevada who refuses to pay his grazing fees or move his cattle off federal land. Tonight, Hannity answered back. I think it’s best summed up by saying that Stewart must have struck a deep nerve. Hard.

O’Reilly ‘Celebrates’ Boston Marathon ‘Victory Over Terrorism’ By Accusing Liberals Of Not Caring If There’s Another Attack

Posted by Ellen · April 22, 2014 7:20 PM · 7 reactions

OReilly_muslims.png

Last night, Bill O’Reilly announced that yesterday’s successful Boston Marathon was “clearly a victory over terrorism.” But, apparently desperate for a way to smear liberals, O’Reilly seized on New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s policies and accused him of not caring whether or not New York City gets attacked again. In reality, what O’Reilly was doing was setting up de Blasio and any other liberal who isn't anti-Muslim enough, so that he can say, "I told you so" and blame them for any future attack.

Fox's Bob Beckel Finally Acts Like A Real Democratic Advocate

Posted by Ellen · April 22, 2014 4:05 PM · 4 reactions

It's good to know that Fox News' Bob Beckel hasn't completely gone over to the other side. On yesterday's The Five, he not only put up a great defense - and offense - on partisan smears and attack ads, but he called out Fox News producers for refusing to let him air Republican ads to prove his point. (H/T Aria)

Cliven Bundy Lied About His Family’s ‘Ancestral Rights’ – And Fox News Let Him

Posted by Ellen · April 22, 2014 2:35 PM · 15 reactions

It turns out that Fox News hero Cliven Bundy is not just a lawbreaking moocher – he’s also a big, fat liar. Those “ancestral rights” he boasts about – you know, the ones he claims go back to the 1800s – and therefore predate the federal government’s claim to the land Bundy refuses to pay to grace on? Turns out 1954 is the date the Bundy family really began grazing.

On Fox & Friends: Bundy Defender Allen West Warns Of Islamic 'Jihad From Within'

Posted by Priscilla · April 22, 2014 12:50 PM · 5 reactions

As Newshounds Ellen points out, while Fox News is championing the cause of grazing fee scofflaw Cliven Bundy and his merry band of anti-government "sovereign citizens," it certainly does not show the same reverence to Occupiers and minorities who peacefully and legally protest government policies. Fox's glaring hypocrisy is also evident in their treatment of Muslims who, in Foxworld, shouldn't have been able to build an Islamic center, in NYC, even though they had every right to do so. This double standard was on full display, last week, when radical right winger Allen West, a defender of Cliven Bundy, informed his pals on the curvy Fox & Friends couch that - wait for it - Muslims are secretly organizing to take over the government. Be afraid, be very afraid. Meanwhile, it's cool for semi-automatic weapon wielding American, Christian militia folks to threaten to take down American federal agents cuz, you know, freedom!

Jon Stewart Shreds Sean Hannity Over Welfare Rancher Cliven Bundy

Posted by Ellen · April 22, 2014 11:28 AM · 3 reactions

Sean Hannity got his just comedic deserts last night when Jon Stewart spent two segments tearing down the lawbreaking, mooching rancher Cliven Bundy and Hannity’s hypocritical adulation. Referring to Fox’s food stamp scapegoat that they demonize as much as they romanticize Bundy, Stewart said, “Too bad surfer dude isn’t a cow, otherwise Hannity would be fine with the government paying for his meals.”

After Promoting Rancher Bundy's Armed Insurrection Against The Government, Hannity Plays The Victim

In case you didn’t think there was anything more despicable than Sean Hannity’s deliberate and dangerous ratcheting up of tensions between lawbreaking Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and the U.S. government, then watch Hannity whine about being a victim of those meanies calling him out over it at MSNBC.
