It took the Dems winning both Houses of Congress in 2006 for Congress to even begin any type of investigations into all of Dubya’s failures. (And even then, Pelosi stated, even before the election, that if the Dems did regain control of Congress that there would be no consideration of impeachment—despite all of the legitimate reasons that the Dems had to consider proceedings.)

So, take all your fake concerns and shove them up your ass. (You’ll still be able to accomodate that 20-year old rentboy you hire—the one you lovingly nicknamed “Fisty.”)*

Why is this a surprise? There’s not a single FoxNoise host who remembers anything more than 4 weeks ago unless their masters have approved it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if you were to give all these FoxNoise folks a “pop quiz” on topics from 6 months ago and not a one of them received a passing grade. Would someone care to remind me of how many GOP-led investigations there were regarding the murder of Pat Tillman by his “fellow” soldiers? A murder which, the Administration at the time (GOP—Dubya/Cheney) claimed was the result of “enemy forces.”

And, I’ve forgotten. How long did it take for there to be Congressional hearings on the LIES perpetrated by the Dubya/Cheney cabal regarding Iraq—an event which took the lives of far more than a mere 4 dead Americans?

Well, I’m not getting why it’s hilarious. Per FoxNoise rules and regulations, the simple fact that the Dems got ANY airtime would be giving Dems “a disproportionate amount of airtime.”

I just wish that the Democratic Party as a whole would issue blanket instructions to its membership that they should not simply avoid, but adamantly turn down, any invitations extended by FoxNoise as the network doesn’t meet what the requirements that Democratic Party considers for a responsible, legitimate news network. And that any Dems who do agree to go on a FoxNoise program, upon being “welcomed” by the host, say “Thank you, and this is my final comment for the remainder of the program as nothing I say will be given any consideration whatsoever” and then remain mute for the rest of the show (and, if anyone wishes to make the point a bit more dramatically, pull out a roll of duct tape, pull off a strip and put it over his mouth). As noted, it’s not like the FoxNoise folks are going to respect their Democratic guests’ comments or viewpoints, so it’s a bit absurd for any Dem to go on the show without making a significant point at the very start.

(I believe the term you were looking for is “laundromat,” a synonym for a “launderette”—a commercial laundry service, typically a self-service operation using coin-operated machines. My reference to “laundry mat” would be a mat at the front door to or on the floor of such an establishment.)

Of course, I’d wait until the Foxies were in complete agreement with me regarding the horrific attitude that so many right-wing Americans have against all these “takers” before pointing out that my “takers” are fetuses. Anyone think that Cavuto will apologize about his naysaying of Gore’s “prediction” when, let’s say around late August/early September, there are parts of the country still enjoying near-100 degree days and places like New England and the upper Plains are sweltering under constant 90+ degree days?

I find it so hilarious when the easily deluded naysay global warming (or the mere concept of climate change) when you’ve got a few days of unseasonably cool-to-cold temperatures in early spring (Spring officially started just 6 weeks ago, and there’s another 7 weeks to go) but don’t have the same response when you’ve got unseasonably warm-to-hot temperatures in early autumn. No, then these lamenuts simply appreciate the “unusually warm” temperatures without attributing to something like climate change.

Here in central ‘Bama, last week, we had days pushing NINETY freakin’ degrees—and no one was talking about how it was from climate change. This week, we’re seeing days just making the mid-60s, and the conservatards are doing the usual “pooh-pooh on climate change” mambo. (And don’t get me started on the morons who can’t seem to equate nearly 2 solid months of 90+ degree temperatures with there being something causing it. Last year, we had a couple of weeks—not consecutively—where a daytime high of 95 was a “cool spell” but our conservatards wouldn’t attribute that to climate change.)

Dave, there’s a difference between an “attack” on the Bush daughters and the slimefest going on against the Obama daughters.

When Dubya took office, both Jenna and Barbara were of legal age. Of the Obama daughters, Malia won’t reach legal age until 2016—about 6 months before Obama leaves office.

Presidential children who are legally minors should be absolutely off-limits when it comes to press coverage except in the most tangential sense (eg, a picture of the children with one parent or the other on vacation), and I’m willing to extend this protection to the children of Presidential and VP candidates (unless the candidate deliberately inserts a child into the campaign spotlight—though the real criticism should be levelled at the candidate’s decision and less at the child). But if the child is over 18 or once the child turns 18, the gloves can come off—although, any “attacks” should really be for what the “child” has done or is doing (such as the Bush daughters’ partying and underage drinking) rather than the “his/her parent is the President so he/she is evil by extension” ploy that we see so frequently with the right-wing noise machine and their enablers.
