Jon Stewart got to the heart of Fox's over-heated, over-hyped coverage of the Benghazi hearings yesterday. "The denizens of Bullshit Mountain have cried wolf before," he said. Noting that after eight months of investigations, Fox and the GOP should be able to clearly state a case against the Obama administration, Stewart played a clip of Benghazi-gate cheerleader Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) unable to explain - to Fox News hosts, no less - exactly what was being covered up in the big cover up he alleged.
"You have no f***ing idea!" Stewart declared. To very loud applause. But by all means, Chaffetz, keep it up. The rest of the country may be laughing at you but you'll always have Fox News!

@ Antoinette: How much coverage do you think FoxNoise will give to those trials? I’m thinking FoxNoise will give the trials as much coverage as the network gave to the scandal when it first broke. (That is, to say, practically none.)

EZ and Agent86 took my comment between them. The reason the 9/11 conspiracies are still going so strong is that there’s tangible, unignorable evidence that, at the very least, Bush blew off the warnings- and the behaviour of his white house added fuel to the fire.
Meanwhile, Benghazi is deader than twice-fried chicken because they can’t even make up a good story. Fox Nation made the best attempt repeating The Daily Mail story about how Saudi Arabia supposedly warned Obama- And only Obama- Personally in like, December…
But here’s how sad that ended up: Even the Fox Nation readers asked where the hard proof was on that.

Once again the Rethugs show they’d rather spend their time trying to “get” the Dems for something than to work on moving the country forward.

As usual, Jon nails it.
His mention of the 54 diplomatic attacks that killed 13 Americans during the Dumbya misAdministration was notable: as he said, there were only THREE hearings as a result of those attacks — and seemingly none of the equivalent outrage following those attacks from Fox or their followers.
I wonder why. One might think it has something to do with a Black Democrat being in the White House . . .

We can’t wait to see the trials of the former News Corporation/News International employees in the U.K. That will make Benghazi look like a church picnic.

So let me get this stratight….the right claims this Administration is supposed to be ignorant and incompetent yet, the GOP hitsquad can’t unearth the Benghazi cover-up conspiracy after two attempts. What does that say about them? Nevermind…I answered my own question.

Don't worry, GOP. You make look like fools on The Daily Show but you're never too dopey for Fox News.
