Sorry, Joe, but the three links that I checked out don’t offer a shred of EVIDENCE that the “knockout game” is REAL. (It’s also worth noting most of the sites you presented hava a slightly right-wing bias; that first site uses a REPUBLICON legislator’s word as if it’s scientific fact.)

All of the “victims” of the “game” CLAIM it’s real, but all I read was little more than the basis of mythology. You know how mythology works, right? People see a phenomenon they can’t explain rationally so they make up something to fit their perspectives.

And because someone made up a “knockout game,” now small-minded people decide to use it to explain a random stranger’s beating them up.

Think of it like this: Most of the people who believe the “knockout game” is real also happen to be people who deny climate change as real.

Military personnel who insult the President should be stripped of their rank (even as retirees) and lose their retirement pay and benefits.

Donna, then I suppose you need to be offended by FoxNoise. It’s partially owned by the Prince of a country which—to this very day—beheads people for capital offenses. Oh, and did you know that ISIS has a very strong connection to the same strain of Islam that created Saudi Arabia in the first place? Of course, FoxNoise would never inform its viewers of the network’s ties to supporters of terror.

Steve, I’m well aware of getting high numbers and all that, but this is a man who NOW-when he’s safely out of consideration for having his ass put on the front lines—wants to wage (another) war where other people have to risk their lives to keep his sorry ass safe. Perhaps whoever made this comment would care to flashback to the late 80s/early 90s when Congressional Right-wingers were so offended by certain artists’ work (especially those receiving Federal grants) that Congressional hearings were held to “prove” these artists shouldn’t be getting taxpayer money to fund their “obscene” art. Or when a Cincinnati museum was protested over the Mapplethorpe exhibit.

Or what about the time when Rudy Giuliani was sooo offended by the Brooklyn Museum of Art’s displaying of Chris Ofili’s “The Holy Virgin Mary” that used elephant dung (as a tribute to African folk art traditions) on the painting? Giuliani even declared “There’s nothing in the First Amendment that supports horrible and disgusting projects!”

I guess when it’s something that right-wingers support, the rest of us shouldn’t be allowed to get offended to the point of complaining but when right-wingers are offended by something, the rest of us should recognize this and keep the offensive stuff away from their delicate sensibilities.

Hmm. I wonder if it would be possible to get Mr Wheeler, while wearing street clothes, to go walking around a predominantly white neighborhood and someone “just happened” to call the police, reporting that they saw a “suspicious Black man, apparently casing houses, and—I’m not sure but I think I saw a gun.”

If Wheeler thinks his status as a “Fox Black conservative” will keep him from being treated like any run-of-the-mill Black man, I’ve got a feeling he’ll be in for a very rude awakening.
