It’s one thing to argue about the details of the prisoner swap that recovered Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from Afghanistan. But it’s especially nauseating to see Fox News go after Bergdahl’s father simply because they don’t like the way he looks or has spoken. On the same night that Sean Hannity tried to argue that Bergdahl's father had uttered some kind of "Muslim victory call," Fox News’ Ralph Peters referred to him as “Pops Taliban.” On the so-called Fox Business Network.
I have yet to see a single Fox News “patriot” come up with a shred of evidence proving that Bergdahl’s father is anti-American, other than the fact that he spoke sympathetically of his son’s captives, praised Allah in Arabic and grew a beard in support of his son. This, from the network that is supposedly so dedicated to free speech that it portrays asking the NFL to change the name of the Redskins as an infringement.
Peters has been especially vicious about the son, suggesting we should just go ahead and execute Bowe Bergdahl without need for a formal investigation. After watching Peters last night, I would not be surprised if he starts suggesting the same thing for the father. And maybe President Obama, too.
On Lou Dobbs Tonight, Peters said:
I tend to just write off Chuck Hagel …The Secretary of Defense insulted our troops to protect this criminal White House. And it goes far beyond that.
...The military brass went along with the Obama White House and created this false narrative where Bergdahl is a POW captured by the Taliban. His soldiers – all soldiers… everyone who knew what really happened … they were appalled and disgusted.
…The final straw for the men and women in uniform was when they saw that Rose Garden pageant of craziness where, you know, Pops Taliban and his beard and his remarks in Pashto.
Oh, and Peters also referred to the Obama administration as “The White House pukes in their ill-fitting suits.”
Birther Lou Dobbs didn’t challenge a word of Peters’ rhetoric. In fact, he piled on about “this farce.” Dobbs closed by saying, “Colonel, always great to see you.”
By the way, there wasn’t one second of business news in the seven-minute discussion. Unless your business – as Fox News’ is – is that of promoting a political agenda.
Watch Peters’ spew his hatred for his country below.

Does this mean??? Oh my dear god noooo!
At least Bergdah’s dad looks clean, unlike the DD people, who I swear I can smell right through the TV.
Okay. I know there’s a little thing called “hypocrisy” in play, but aside from that, I can’t see how even the regular FoxNoise viewers would have an attention span short enough to forget the FoxNoise slobbering over the
If Dobbs does any business news anymore, it’s relegated to late in the show after I’ve turned the channel in disgust.
But apparently, I’ll be MIA until October if I do that, so here goes: This is so low that Peters need to look up to see a snake’s balls. That is seriously all I can say about this, especially in light of how forgiving he seems to be of BS like the stuff pulled by North, Bush II’s entire administration, and the Republican House of Representatives under Obama.
That’s all, unless I’m permitted a comment about how little room he has to talk about “ill-fitting suits.” Seriously.
