Jesse Watters did another smarmy “Watters World” segment, this one designed to mock Earth Day. Later, he and Bill O’Reilly insisted they really care about the environment. But clearly Watters is clueless about how the public feels.
Watters was reporting back from his Washington, D.C. trip to cover an Earth Day rally on the National Mall over the weekend.
It just so happened that much of his reporting included comments from a woman in a very low-cut dress.
But that was more than compensated for by two people who walked away as soon as they saw the “Fox News” on Watters’ microphone.
Back in The O’Reilly Factor studio, Watters told Bill O’Reilly that most of the people at the rally were “there for the concert.” Watters noted that the concert, which featured a lot of top acts was free. “And that’s smart,” he said. “Because no one really cares about global warming, it’s not a priority.”
But polling shows that Watters could not be more wrong. Majorities of Americans think global warming is a serious problem that is already happening and should be given priority.
O’Reilly said, “Look we’re mocking it a little bit, we believe in a clean environment.” But he didn’t correct Watters.
“Yeah, I want a clean environment,” Watters now said. “I don’t pollute, I recycle.”
“The Factor wants the planet to be clean,” O’Reilly continued. “So we’re not denigrating these people. We’re just having a little fun with them, right Watters?”
Yuk, yuk.
Watch it below, from the April 20 The O’Reilly Factor.
Not only that, but also war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength. Especially the last one.
Oh, sure. I get that.
I just wish they had that attitude over jokes made “at the expense” of Christians. Or GOPers. Or FoxNoise. Or themselves.
Keep your priorities straight folks. FOX is about nothing besides ratings & money. If you believe otherwise I have a bridge in NY to sell to you.
