Posted by Ellen · September 16, 2013 12:28 PM · 14 reactions

This weekend, Miss New York, Nina Davuluri, was crowned the newest Miss America. But "patriot" Todd Starnes was not only displeased, he took to Twitter and Facebook to air his bigoted and hate-mongering sour grapes.

Fox & Friends Offers Free Legal Advice And Other Good Stuff

Posted by Priscilla · September 16, 2013 11:00 AM · 6 reactions

Sarah Palin need not worry about getting sued for copyright infringement. All she needs to do is e-mail Fox Friend and legal beagle (also Roger Ailes personal attorney and litigator for the Catholic archdiocese of NY) Peter Johnson Jr. for free legal advice. As part of Fox & Friends' new community outreach, he is now offering his help to those who are being sued. Seems too good to be true; but according to its spiffy new website, Fox & Friends is offering a variety of other helpful public services, as well as its requisite propaganda. There's something for everybody on Fox & Friends. For details, read on.

Sarah Palin Sued For Copyright Infringement of Iconic 9/11 Photo

Posted by Ellen · September 16, 2013 8:30 AM · 11 reactions

We can add copyrights and "fair use" to the long list of subjects about which Sarah Palin is woefully ignorant. And arrogant. As CNN reports, Palin and her political action committee are being sue for using a famous photo of firefighters raising an American flag over the World Trade Center ruins on September 11, 2001. Apparently, Palin posted a screen grab of the photo on her Facebook page. And then did not respond to requests to take it down.

Neil Cavuto: No One Begrudges Helping The Poor, We Just Don’t Care If They Go Hungry

Posted by Brian · September 15, 2013 10:29 PM · 5 reactions

On last week’s Your World, Neil Cavuto discussed the record number of people on food stamps  - not by noting how many Americans suffer from food insecurity nor how so many Americans have been left out of the recovery – while those at the top, like Cavuto, have gotten richer. No, Cavuto teamed up with a guest to suggest that Americans are gaming the system. Which just so happens to complement Republican efforts to cut $40 billion from the SNAP program, commonly referred to as “food stamps.”

Ablow: ‘Guns Are Irrelevant’ To Mass Shootings. Video Games Are The Real Threat

Posted by Ellen · September 15, 2013 7:16 PM · 6 reactions

Dr. Keith Ablow visited America’s Newsroom on Friday (9/13/13) where he delivered another one of his crackpot “analyses” which, in this case amounted to a conclusion that guns don’t kill people, video games kill people. Host Martha MacCallum seemed to agree.

Greg Gutfeld Wants More Media Coverage Of Scary Black Men

Posted by Priscilla · September 15, 2013 3:08 PM · 8 reactions

Since the Trayvon Martin trial, Fox News has been pushing a racist narrative that portrays whites as the real victims of crimes perpetrated by violent, racist African-Americans. In their search for a white Trayvon Martin, they have been trying to portray any criminal acts, committed by blacks against whites, as hate crimes - even when local police say that there is no racial motivation. In creating a false equivalency between the Martin shooting and crimes against whites, Fox is also able to reinforce its meme about librul media bias by asserting that the media isn't sufficiently covering these incidents. Fox's "The Five," pushed this racist agitprop after a school bus beating of a white child by several black youth. Greg Gutfeld questioned the local police's assertion that this wasn't a hate crime. He used the situation to excoriate the African-American community and advance the racist narrative that blacks are scary, brutish thugs. This week he continued the formulaic Fox narrative of how the press is ignoring the real (black on white) hate crime in America.

Dana Perino The Winner Of Last Week's Outrageous Quote Poll

Posted by Ellen · September 14, 2013 7:44 PM · 3 reactions

Dana Perino is not normally one of the Fox News flame throwers but her comments last week suggesting that people should leave the country if they don't like the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance really rubbed people the wrong way.

Fox News Tries To Make Syria Deal About John Kerry Gaffe

Posted by Ellen · September 14, 2013 4:51 PM · 1 reaction

In case you're not sure whether the just-brokered Syria deal is good news for the Obama administration - given that there are plenty of minefields still left to traverse - one glimpse at FoxNews.com gives you an answer in the affirmative. Why else would they make the headline, "Kerry saving face after Syria deal?" at the top of the page and, in much smaller letters, the headline, "US, Russia reach Syria weapons deal"?
