Michael Clemente, Another High-Level Fox News Executive, Has Been Let Go

Michael Clemente, a former executive vice president at Fox News has been let go tonight.  According to CNN, Clemente’s departure is not related to the sexual harassment scandal that forced CEO Roger Ailes to resign last week.

As I wrote in my last post, the real question about Fox News without Roger Ailes is not how many more women will come forward but how far the contagion spreads. New York Magazin'es Gabriel Sherman has alleged a cover up by the same top executives serving as Fox’s interim leaders and are now being considered as replacements for Ailes.

In its supposedly objective coverage of the mass shootings in Munich, Germany, Fox News trotted out an inflammatory Obama-hater and let him fear monger that President Obama and anyone who cares about civil liberties are about to get us all killed by ISIS. But a few hours later, Fox’s own Shepard Smith reported that the shooter appeared to be a right-winger with a beef against foreigners.
