Michael Clemente, a former executive vice president at Fox News has been let go tonight.  According to CNN, Clemente’s departure is not related to the sexual harassment scandal that forced CEO Roger Ailes to resign last week.

Let’s be real. The hacked DNC emails, though showing inexcusable bias against Bernie Sanders, do not show any rigging of the primary process. But Fox News offered a friendly platform for RNC head Reince Priebus to wrongly claim that the DNC “perpetrated a fraud.”

As Rev. Jesse Jackson tried to discuss the dangers of military-style weapons on the street, Fox host Harris Faulkner repeatedly interrupted to complain about black crime and Black Lives Matter. 

Donald Trump defended his buddy Roger Ailes, who was just forced out of Fox News in the wake of multiple accusations of sexual harassment, as “just a very, very good person.” Trump dodged when asked if he is being advised by Ailes.

As I wrote in my last post, the real question about Fox News without Roger Ailes is not how many more women will come forward but how far the contagion spreads. New York Magazin'es Gabriel Sherman has alleged a cover up by the same top executives serving as Fox’s interim leaders and are now being considered as replacements for Ailes.

A report in The New York Times indicates that sexual harassment and intimidation at Fox News go beyond the now-ousted CEO, Roger Ailes, and point to “a broader problem in the workplace."

Gabriel Sherman, the reporter who got it right when he predicted Roger Ailes would be ousted from Fox News this week, explained in an interview why Fox can probably coast up to the election. But who will write their narratives after that?

After Jon Stewart magnificently skewered Sean Hannity’s hypocrisy in supporting Donald Trump, Hannity attempted to hit back on his radio show. I don’t think it went well, do you?

You'd think that after the dearly departed (from Fox News) Roger Ailes was accused of sexual harassment, the network would be a little wary of guests, like Duck Dynasty "patriarch" Phil Robertson, who have a decidedly kinky worldview. But Robertson is Christian so, as we saw on yesterday's Fox & Friends, it's all good..... 

In its supposedly objective coverage of the mass shootings in Munich, Germany, Fox News trotted out an inflammatory Obama-hater and let him fear monger that President Obama and anyone who cares about civil liberties are about to get us all killed by ISIS. But a few hours later, Fox’s own Shepard Smith reported that the shooter appeared to be a right-winger with a beef against foreigners.
