BREAKING: Roger Ailes Out At Fox News, Rupert Murdoch To Step In

The New York Times reports that Roger Ailes has resigned from Fox News, following numerous accusations that he sexually harassed women at Fox, and that Rupert Murdoch will replace him.

From The Times:

Rupert Murdoch, the 85-year-old media mogul who started Fox News with Mr. Ailes, will assume the role of chairman and chief executive of Fox News channel and Fox Business Network.

[...]

Mr. Murdoch cut short a vacation he was on with his wife, Jerry Hall, on the French Riviera to return and attend to Mr. Ailes’s departure agreement. [...]The elder Mr. Murdoch was addressing the Fox News newsroom late this afternoon.

There have been reports swirling all week that Ailes was on the verge of resigning in the wake of former Fox host Gretchen Carlson's bombshell lawsuit for sexual harassment. It was earlier reported, before a retraction, that Ailes was already out two days ago. But his departure is official now.

As I previously wrote, Ailes' departure is the single most important development at the network since it was formed. What will happen at Fox News now? Stay tuned.

Richard,

When Gretchen Carlson gets done with Nixon Trainee Ailes that golden parachute will go to Carlson, her attorney, and several other women who will file claims against the trainee.

Mark our words, Richard. Something is coming down the pipeline, and all the money in the world won’t save Ailes. His reputation is destroyed.

From Newsmax:

Roger Ailes will get a severance package worth more than $40 million for resigning from Fox News on Thursday amid a sexual harassment lawsuit — and he will remain a consultant to the network through 2018. The figure was reported by The Wall Street Journal, which cited “a person familiar with the matter.” No further details were reported.

@ Antoinette Dear Antoinette:

What you said IS all true — BUT here’s a fact I believe you should keep in mind: Jabba the Ailes will STILL BE LAUGHING HIS HEAD OFF ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK, because according to the front page of today’s New York Daily News, he’s getting a $60 MILLION GOLDEN PARACHUTE from Herr Goebbels II (i.e. Rupert Murdoch).

Good riddance to the Nixon Trainee Ailes. We shed no tears, except the tears of pure joy that this clown is removed from his post. Let the celebrations begin!

The Fox “News” mouthpieces were upset at this news. Some shed tears, many were sad, others were upset. Too bad.

The work is not over. Goofy Doocy, Hannocchio, and Billy need to go, and they could use that clause in their contracts to leave this network.

Ruthless Rupy will take over for now as head of Fox “News” until a replacement has been named.

FINAL NOTE TO AILES

Bye and good riddance!

NOTE TO MURDOCHS

Steve Doocy is named in Carlson’s lawsuit. Get rid of him now! Either you stick with 21st Century Fox’s Standards of Business Conduct, or get rid of it. We will remind the masses of this company policy until he resigns.

“Harrassment-Free: We endeavor to ensure that the workplace is free of bullying and unlawful harassment, whether that harassment is sexual in nature, or is based on an employee’s sex, race, religion or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. It is our policy to investigate promptly and thoroughly any 21CF colleague complaint of discrimination or harassment, and to take remedial measures, if the Company determines that there has been a violation of the Company’s policy against such conduct.”

NOTE TO FOX “NEWS” MOUTHPIECES

Boo-hoo! You knew this man’s behavior, and didn’t say a word. All of you need to go. Use that clause in your contract and leave by the end of the year.

We may never know all the details of Jabba’s severance agreement with Fux. But you can bet that it includes 1) Big $ , 2) Fux’s agreement to defend Jabba against the sexual harassment lawsuits that will follow, 3) a show title like “special advisor to the Chairman.”

You knew the end was near when Megyn’s information leaked out.

No doubt he’ll be floating away with several millions dollars in his golden parachute. I wouldn’t be surprised if he still connected under the disguise of “consultant”.

The news was announced as"breaking news" on a network I was watching. I switched to Fox to see what they were saying. Stuart Varney was interviewing Sheriff Clark- more of this guy! Jerez Louise!
I checked back a few minutes later and they were talking to Rudy Giuliani.
It makes me wonder- do people who only get their news from Fox even know Ailes was accused of sexual harassment?

Oh wow. This will kill The Wrinkled One, obviously, but there will be carnage before he goes. Has there been any mention on screen yet?

Rupert replacing Roger? An effort to attract an older audience?

Uh, ohh!! Henry Ford took control of Ford Motor Co. At the age of 80, after his son, Edsel died. Old man Ford wanted to start cranking out Model-Ts again. It took the Ford engineers forever to get Henry Ford to stop making the Model-T in 1927 and change car design. They couldn’t get Henry out of the President’s office fast enough in 1943.

So what kind of model is ol’ Ruppert gonna roll out?

And I don’t think that Greta, Billo and Sean are gonna up and quit out of loyalty to Ailes.
