Is Sean Hannity Too Chicken To Talk About The Las Vegas Shootings?
Sean Hannity took no time last night to cover the shootings in Las Vegas over the weekend, even though two police officers were executed by fans of Hannity’s BFF-until-it-was-inexpedient, outlaw rancher Cliven Bundy. We agreed with Charles Pierce, writing in Esquire, when he wrote in April that Hannity’s promotion of Bundy’s lawlessness was going to help get somebody killed. Now that it has, Hannity seems to be hiding from the story.

The only good thing about Fox News' hate-filled and exploitative coverage of Bowe Bergdahl is how Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert can mine it for comedy gold. At FNC's expense.

Apparently, former Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki never got the memo that one of his job requirements for running the department was helping along Bill O’Reilly’s charity for wounded soldiers. Last night, O’Reilly explained that he “knew” Shinseki was not a good manager because he never got involved with O’Reilly’s charity.
Read moreIrony Alert! Bill O’Reilly Slams New York Times And CNN’s Brian Stelter For Not Demonizing Bergdahl Swap
Bill O’Reilly was a vision of gasbag ugliness tonight as he repeatedly accused the New York Times of “running interference” for President Obama in its reporting on the Bowe Bergdahl/Taliban swap, attacked CNN’s Brian Stelter as a “notorious far-left zealot” – for having the audacity to criticize St. Bill’s smear campaign against Bergdahl’s family – and topped it off with a hilariously hypocritical whine about a corrupt media “motivated by ideology.” From his perch at GOP Central aka Fox News.

As the media echo chamber for the perpetually outraged radical right, Fox News never wastes an opportunity to advance their outrage du jour, the most recent being Jane Fonda's invitation to speak at the commencement for the UCLA School of Theater. Not surprisingly, Bill O'Reilly, as the voice of the boy-am-I-pissed-off conservative contingent attacked UCLA for inviting this "traitor." But he did commend her talent - something that the talentless famous "dick" Tucker Carlson couldn't bring himself to do on Saturday's Fox & Friends which, while starting off with Fonda, soon morphed into another popular radical right meme; i.e. that affirmative action in college admissions unfairly advantages African-Americans who are too stupid to get in on their own. As propaganda twofer - priceless

Can you imagine the Fox Nation outrage if the Las Vegas shooting had been committed by, oh, say Black Panthers or Islamic jihadists? You can bet that this would be a big, fat all day lede which would contain the word "terror." But this act of domestic terror, committed by Second Amendment loving, government hating, Cliven Bundy supporting white Americans with white supremacist links is being ignored (as of 3:45 EDT) on Fox Nation, the place where real Americans can articulate the same kind of hatred shown by Jerad and Amanda Miller who draped that yellow Gadsen flag, so beloved by the Tea Party, over the bodies of the police men whom they shot!
Read moreGeorge Will Talks Up The ‘Coveted Status’ Of Being A Rape Victim
In his Washington Post column on Friday, Fox News contributor George Will suggested that progressivism on college campuses is worse than being coerced into non-consensual sex. Or, as he put it, being a rape victim on campus is now “a coveted status that confers privileges” and causes “victims (to) proliferate.”
Read moreJuan Williams Smacks Down ‘Craven’ Republican Attacks On Bergdahl Recovery
Juan Williams was a smidgen of bright light yesterday in a Fox News Sunday sea of vitriol over Bowe Bergdahl and the Obama administration’s deal to recover him. On a show that excluded Democrats from every interview, Williams spoke out very effectively against the tide.
