Can you imagine the Fox Nation outrage if the Las Vegas shooting had been committed by, oh, say Black Panthers or Islamic jihadists? You can bet that this would be a big, fat all day lede which would contain the word "terror." But this act of domestic terror, committed by Second Amendment loving, government hating, Cliven Bundy supporting white Americans with white supremacist links is being ignored (as of 3:45 EDT) on Fox Nation, the place where real Americans can articulate the same kind of hatred shown by Jerad and Amanda Miller who draped that yellow Gadsen flag, so beloved by the Tea Party, over the bodies of the police men whom they shot!
One assumes, however, that if Fox Nation did report this, there would be a great outpouring of support for the Millers, so maybe it's better that they didn't. Wonder what Bundy fanboy Hannity will say? Once again, you can bet if this had been done by blacks or Muslims he would be fulminating about terrorism!
BTW, the Fox News website hasn't updated its story to include the video verification that Miller was at the Bundy Ranch. If you want to peak into the mind of a white, domestic terrorist, here's Miller's manifesto. Sounds a lot like the stuff you see on Fox Nation and hear at Tea Party rallies!
Bob Roberts, Hannocchio is still recovering from the Cliven Bundy fiasco. Anything associated with Bundy or his followers will not be mentioned on his shows. Call other talk shows, and mention the Bundy connnection to the shootings. Tell the host that you are “surprised” that Fox “News” hosts have not mentioned the shootings on their shows.
Don’t call Hannocchio-friendly hosts. They were probably warned in advance by Hannocchio that “liberals” would be calling to talk about the shootings.
Didn’t watch Faux last nite but can guarantee there was not one word of the Vegas shooting or the shooters previous actions mentioned from 8-11. Guaranteed. Rachel covered it well from what i saw on her re-airing at midnight.
The Fox “News” frauds, including Bundy fan Hannocchio, are still smarting from the Cliven Bundy fiasco. The last thing Hannocchio needs is a constant reminder of his friendship with the Bundys and their followers.
Then again, at least HuffPo (even if they “buried this story down towards the bottom of the page”) still covered it—as opposed to FoxNution.
I wonder how the right will spin this. Simply put, their chickens are coming home to roost. They have been inciting anti-government crap for years with no culpability. When a black guy kills cops, it’s news. When two white “patriots” do it, it’s not reported.
Remember when Luzerne County, PA elected skinheads to their council because they were TPP leaders? Fox News left that out, and BONUS- They tried to claim “former” on the skinhead thing.
Remember when one of the TPP founders, Mark Meckler was arrested for trying to smuggle guns on a plane at LaGuardia? Fox News barely mentioned that, but three guesses what they left out…
And this isn’t the first time Tea Partiers went storming to a place where there were a bunch of cops, just to start shooting them- Remember Jerry Kane, yet another Tea Party leader, who went on a cop killing spree with his Tea Partyin’ son? Or that Tea Partier in New Jersey who went into a police precinct and opened fire?
And don’t even get me started on the Mission Street Riots, which turned out to be started by Tea Partiers. Or that four of those five idiots who tried to blow up that bridge turned out to be Tea Partiers who admitted they set up their meetings at OWS rallies for snow job value. Fox couldn’t be bothered to mention that part on either story.
If you get all your info from Fox, you’re Googling right now, because their whole mentality on this is that they think leaving out the words “Tea Party” will allow them to keep claiming the Tea Party has never done anything wrong…
Or you’re preparing your “But they never do it at their own rallies!” defense. Like the part where I said “They do it at Occupy rallies!” escapes you. Not a joke, BTW- I’ve been to rallies for both, and they’ll dump their drunks and psychos off at OWS, just to see what happens. I’ve seen both ends of that in action.
