“Objective” Special Report Presents Judge Andrew Napolitano As A Tax Expert

Posted by Brian · April 15, 2012 12:29 PM · 2 reactions

Thursday night (4/12/12) on Special Report, the Buffett Rule was the topic for the "All-Star" panel. Who better for Fox to talk about taxes than Judge Andrew Napolitano? Yes, a judge talking about taxes! Not only that, but Napolitano is also a political expert, He declared that the President Obama's main purpose in proposing the Rule is to demonize the rich and, especially, Mitt Romney.

Ailes And Palin At It Again

Posted by Ellen · April 15, 2012 1:37 AM · 9 reactions

I think it's safe to say that Sarah Palin's contract at Fox is unlikely to be renewed. First, she announced her decision not to run for president on Mark Levin's radio show - and not on Fox News. Now, she has had some snippy words for boss Roger Ailes - in the wake of his remark that she "had no chance to be president."

This Doctor Has A Message About The War On Women For Fox News Viewers

Posted by Ellen · April 14, 2012 5:41 PM · 1 reaction

You may have to enlarge the video but if you look carefully, you can see that Dr. Cathleen London, who appeared on Fox News yesterday to discuss the link between genetics and pain, was wearing a button that said, "Unite Against the War on Women."

Father Jonathan Morris Pimps Bishops Call To Disobey The Law

Posted by Priscilla · April 14, 2012 3:24 PM · 3 reactions

The right wing and its Fox "News" mouthpieces had their nice white panties in a bunch over the occasional acts of civil disobedience by "Occupy." One assumes that if the National Organization for Women encouraged doctors to perform abortions in violation of state laws or if municipal clerks granted illegal marriage licenses to gay couples, the right wing and those on Fox News would be apoplectic. But the men in black, otherwise known as the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, are urging civil disobedience of "unjust" laws which are part of what Fox and the bishops tell us is a "war on religious liberty." Roger Ailes' boy toy resident theologian, Fr. Jonathan Morris, informs us that the bishop's call to disobey (which was strangely silent during the Viet   Nam war) extends beyond the HHS birth control mandate to things like "inability to minister to illegal immigrants" - a group of which Fox News is not usually supportive. Who knew? You learn all sorts of things from Cardinal Dolan's America's Newsroom.

Juan Williams Smacks Down Hannity’s Race Baiting In Trayvon Martin Case

Posted by Ellen · April 14, 2012 10:37 AM · 4 reactions

Juan Williams all but told Sean Hannity that he was deliberately race baiting Thursday night (4/12/12) when Hannity yet again fixated on comments that the black fringe group, the New Black Panther Party, has made regarding the Trayvon Martin shooting. Williams said, “To me, the attention you’re giving this group is playing to a stereotype. This is like a minstrel show about ignorant, angry, threatening black people.”

Saran Palin Offers Her Insights Into North Korea

Posted by Ellen · April 13, 2012 6:12 PM · 11 reactions

Before Sarah Palin offered her insights into the Hillary Rosen "stay at home Mom" flap on Hannity last night, Sean Hannity probed her thoughts on foreign policy, including the failed missile launch by North Korea. Did Hannity really think Palin had any thoughts on foreign policy? Or was he just trying to buttress her political cred with the knowledge that the gist of anything she said would be an attack on President Obama?

Steve Doocy Schooled By Guest On Bogus "War On Stay At Home Moms"

Posted by Priscilla · April 13, 2012 2:07 PM · 5 reactions

The right wing and its mouthpiece, Fox "News," love a good culture war as it reinforces the us vs. them right wing/Fox narrative and provides a platform for the meme of conservative victimization which is, as Jon Stewart said, the "true genius" of Fox News. Meanwhile, they deny the existence of a war on women which is based in the real world of *epic attempts to roll back women's rights. Hilary Rosen's statement that Ann Romney is not qualified to speak about women's economic issues has now, not surprisingly, generated a new divisive meme - a "war on stay at home moms."  This morning, Steve Doocy (not working mom Gretchen Carlson) interviewed three women about this new "mommy war." Given the direction of the discussion, one wonders if Doocy's guest bookers were asleep at the switch. Or maybe they were actually trying to be "fair & balanced." At any rate, Doocy got as good as he gave - perhaps even better!

Fox Threatens Gawker With Legal Action

Posted by Ellen · April 13, 2012 12:05 PM · 8 reactions

Gawker received a threatening letter from Fox News attorneys over the mole, former O'Reilly Factor associate producer, Joe Muto. It's a demand that any and all material given to them by Muto be returned to Fox. "Be advised that Muto's admissions are admissions of likely criminal and civil wrongdoing on both his and Gawker's part, which will be the subject of further extensive investigation. Fox News will pursue its rights and remedies in the appropriate legal forums." Fortunately for the rest of us, it doesn't look like Gawker is exactly quaking in its boots. The headline of their post about it is: Here’s a Picture of Bill O’Reilly With a Topless Woman Along With the Fox News Legal Threat Meant to Quash It

O'Reilly Interviews Trayvon Martin's Mother - and tries to avert a race riot

Posted by Ellen · April 13, 2012 1:42 AM · 7 reactions

Trayvon Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, appeared on The O'Reilly Factor, along with her attorney, Benjamin Crump. I think Bill O'Reilly meant well and that his sympathy and concern for Fulton was genuine. But his main interest was not in Fulton but trying to persuade her to speak out against Rev. Al Sharpton and a condescending concern that she wouldn't accept a not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial.

Greta Van Susteren Defends Hilary Rosen

Posted by Ellen · April 12, 2012 11:09 PM · 6 reactions

Greta Van Susteren got into a heated debate about Hilary Rosen's comments about Ann Romney with Karl Rove. It's a shame that Van Susteren - instead of Democrats - stated the obvious: that Rosen was not knocking stay at home Moms but calling into question Romney's understanding of working women.
